Ever since Sancho got subbed off in that first half against Bayern and his attitude was criticized for turning up late etc, it is like that brought out a reaction. While Barkley has dropped of, it is not as absurd as suggesting Gallagher is better than Mount as he is a full England international but generally speaking, yes I agree with you. It is crazy. Gallagher has had a very good season, but it is amazing that a slump in form then the whole brigade is out. For it to be even suggested that Gallagher is better than Mount right now, is evidence of how fickle this forum is.

You called it. Serious note. Utter pathetic performance. Leicester dropped points. Bournemouth's injuries and even Harry Wilson got injured before kick off ffs. We looked physically weak and did not get any foothole in the game. We just looked feeble and not willing to compete. Don't have anything positive to say about any of the players out there. Pulisic was not exactly good, but think Mount should have come instead of him as Mount was anonymous all game. Ryan Fraser roasted Azpi all game also. Azpi did not have the legs to deal with him. Sad to see such a good start come to a major stutter. It is realistic that by next weekend we may be not even be in the top 6. That can genuinely happen. With the form book, Spurs look more capable of beating us than we do of beating them. Hopefully that game gives motivation to the players and gets them to back their bloody ideas up. Relief. Lamps and the team got complacent for sure. Thought he took off Pulisic way too early tbh. He was our best offensive outlet and was terrorizing them. We took him off just past the 60th minute. Should have waited for a third. We got sloppy towards the ends but Rudiger and Zouma looked quite solid until the final stages of the game. Look, whoever we play in the knockouts we will be up against. There are too many world class teams in the team finishing top of their groups. But that is what the CL is about. I did not want us dropping down to the Europa League. Challenge ourselves against the best. Wow, this team gives me scares sometimes. It is honestly pathetic. When Mount started of the season, people were raving ahead of him. A dip in form and people are stating he is not good enough. Tomori will have a few bad games and suddenly he is not good enough. James makes couple defensive errors and he is now not good enough... seriously. Like Jason said, defeats bring the worst out of people. People were suggesting Pulisic should go out on loan before he picked up form...

LOL. Comments like this are embarrassing. Did people expect our youngsters to perform consistently? Some of our fans are ridiculous. Mount is a top prospect. James is too. A couple shifty defensive performances is not going to change that. He will be brilliant. Mount is starting regularly for a team who have been in top 4 and is 20 years of age. Compare that to being above teams such as Arsenal and Spurs who have more experienced players.

Lamps made poor selections again. Christensen over Tomori was confusing. Christensen was awful today. Richarlison and DCL won every tussle against him. People are criticizing Zouma but he has been one of the better players over the past few weeks. I also thought Christensen was the much worse out the pairing today. And seriously Lamps, starting James I agree but Azpi is not a good defensive LB anymore. If you are going to do play James, just start Emerson at LB. I have no idea why Emerson did not come on for Azpi in the second half also. Kovacic got caught being too arrogant on the ball sometimes, but again was our best player. Wow those midweek games really helped us with the results swinging our way. Another learning curve.

Everton look really defensively suspect in this game. I don't just mean defensively, I mean in midfield. Sigurddson and Schneiderlin are slow and the pace we have going forward, their legs will struggle to contain us going forward. Kovacic will be key in making those runs with the ball and dragging those two out of position and hopefully are attacking trio and Abraham do the damage.

Few years ago I remember when Bellerin was talked about being the best RB in the league and Barca were interested in him and the thought was Barca would eventually get him. Whether it is down to injuries or his obsession into fashion, he is plain average. Defensively awful and physically weak. Struggles defensively against any winger with pace/power. Just a pace merchant and even know his pace has declined too.

Whereas Pulisic started off badly, he has come off his own. Scoring 6 goals and a few assists too. Pepe has three goals but all from set pieces or a penalty kick. None from open player which is poor. When he started against Liverpool, he looked so dangerous and you were thinking once he settles in, he will be a big asset for them. The fact that they have had 2 games now, where they could have used him and left him as an unsued sub, shows the low level of confidence they have in him right now.

So relieved Arsenal did not win. As poor as Arsenal have been, quite crazy to think they would have only been 5 points behind us if they had won. Big chance blown for them.

I don't think he would have extended anyway. He would have wanted to return to Juve where Sarri is and he also starts majority of games too.

Expected to lose before the game and we made a good account of ourselves, but we could have even done better which is frustrating. We troubled them so much in the first half hour then lost our way second half. They weren't that sharp at all which is additionally frustrating. Arsenal dropped points which is good because we still have an 8 point gap over them. Thought Tomori was very good and Kovacic again for me was our best player. Think Mount should have come on earlier tbh. We have West Ham at home next week in the league and with the way they have been playing. Lanzini injured and Diop suspended. We should be winning that.
