Maresca already confirmed Palmer is out for the Arsenal fixture.
-
I am annoyed by it. Arsenal are the team to chase as they are top. If they win, they extend their lead over City. I would of preferred City to win and we do our business in silent as I don't think we will win the title if being honest. We still have not played a 'big team' away from home yet.

Delap is perfect for these type of games. Excellent strength and hold up play.

Don't get people's issues with Neto. He is very underrated. He is criticised for his end product but already is on like 3 goals and 2 assists right. He has improved.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11743/13471813/antoine-semenyo-bournemouth-forwards-lb65m-release-clause-becomes-active-in-january Yep, as predicted, there is the release clause. Was way too random for him to sign a contract extension without a release clause. Will be interesting to see if someone goes for him in January. I hope he stays there till the summer tbh. I think Liverpool right now, would be the best option for him as I don't see us bidding for him.

I think Neto is an important player to keep around. He may not always produce the numbers, stats-wise, however he does a lot of defensive work for the team and this season is offensive output has improved. Is already on 3 goals and 2 assists in the league. He only got 4 league goals last season, so is well on course to get his best ever tally. Forest, West Ham game he was fantastic and also thought he was quality against Benfica too. Think he is a very good player to have around. I actually prefer him on the right but equally he is good on the LW too.

Well the plan is for him to be back for both: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13463768/cole-palmer-injury-enzo-maresca-hopes-Chelsea-forward-will-be-fit-to-face-barcelona-and-arsenal-in-november

This comes at a good time for us. Let players rest. Palmer should be back. Allow the likes of Enzo, Caicedo and Pedro to get over their niggles (assuming they are not called up for international duty).
-
Another world class performance 👏. Feels this is just the norm now, nothing is even posted in this thread after the game he had 😄
-
He was registered after Essugo got injured. He started against Benfica. Is a possibility he can start there tomorrow.
-
JP is suspended. He got sent off against Benfica. Got that second yellow just before the game. I think Estevao maybe at no.10 with Gittens and Neto out wide.
-
WOW. Fantastic second half. Credit to Maresca for not f**king about at half time and immediately making changes. They made a huge difference. Acheampong, top class. James quality. Neto, another top performance. They gave James MOTM, but I would have prob given to Neto. He was fantastic all game. Only downsides was Garnacho was really poor and he deserved to get hook. Gusto picked up a stupid second yellow which was really stupid to do when we already had game sealed and with injures we have, it doesn't help. I was screaming out for Maresca to take off Gusto also. When Tosin came on, why did he take of Josh? Gusto should have come and now he is suspended ffs. Really annoying. But big, big win. When I saw lineup I was a bit worried as this is the youngest PL line up in the PL this season. The boys did well. Even we rode our luck a little first half, we reacted well second half and secured a big win. I was a bit annoyed the lack of focus the pundits on TNT Sports gave to Acheampong during the game. He was fantastic. Barely gave him a mention when he came off for Tosin when he was class. As good a performance your going to see for a CB.

Good to see Jay Dasilva lining up for Wales tonight. Came through our academy and was a big part of the youth cup win x2. Talented player. If he was a bit taller, maybe would of had a better chance of making it here as he is very talented.
-
He is not world class, but the flack he got on here was OTT. The amount of times I see people called him 'Badiashite' and names like that was not nice, but he has been brilliant for the past 2 games. When he first joined, he was actually really solid but then got hampered with injuries, however I really like his composure on the ball and his ability to pass between the lines. Decent amount of pace too. Hopefully his injury was just a knock and he is back after the international break, as he deserves his spot on the team.
-
@King Kante a few months down the line... what is your opinion on Caicedo now? I think he is getting better and better. I am hoping to hear you have done a complete 360 and accept he is world class.

Buonanotte is a decent player. Think he may surprise people.

Arsenal will win the league this season. Hate to say it but they will.
-
They strengthened the best out of all promoted teams. They spent the most ever for a promoted team. The fact they obtained likes of Xhaka, Mukiele is a statement of intent. They haven't just bought average players as well. They have bought really good players and have really good depth. They spent what near £30m on Brobbey and he can't even get near the team right now. It would be a brilliant achievement if they stay up but out of all the promoted teams, they have the best chance imo. Xhaka signing was a major coup.

It is really concerning, how easily we let our guard down when we go to 10 men. This is where the lack of leadership and experience is shown. The team just loses their heads. Chalobah should have just let him go. Concerning, but not going to jump the gun yet, as the last 2 games, the game has been taken out of our hands with silly decisions from keeper and defender. We looked good up until Chalobah got sent off. Liverpool are top of the league, but I think we can take something if we keep 11 men on the pitch!! Big game against Benfica first on Tuesday. Team needs a reaction.
-
Fofana was brilliant second half. Took leadership and control.
-
Perfect response. George of all people 😄.
-
I knew this would not be easy. Playing a physical, bigger team on their own turf, but Lord, this is embarrassing. Hopefully this is the the last time seeing George up front. It actually hurts my eyes. Gittens, I want to see continue out wide on the left tbh but big improvement needed. They could have been 3-0 up. No exaggeration. The stats are no lie. There chances have been genuine.

I promise you if we were to play Arsenal at home, we would not be favourites. Liverpool are title favourites. Same way you could say they could have 4-6 less points, you could say same with us when you consider Fulham and smaller extent Palace. So it is strange to see bookies place us as favourites. Last season they did same thing, but that was because they had inclination, that they would rest players and they were right.
-
Strange, but bookies have us as slight favourites to beat Liverpool at this current moment of time...

Rogers really has not going so far. You would never usually see him get subbed, but Emery hooked him off against a 10 men team. No goals or assists and just has not looked threatening.
