Besides JM made it pretty clear that his second stint in charge would revolve around developing talent... don't expect to see the club spend big money on established world class players over the next 3-4 years.
I actually favor this approach, clubs done a fantastic job of buying potential, got the nucleus of a great team which can play together for +10 years. If that means we forgot silverware next year then so be it....

But do you actually attend games? Often find overseas fans have more affection for the place than the ppl who attend.
Virtually every PL club in London is looking to move, along with Everton, Liverpool etcetra and most of the others have already moved (Newcastle, Sunderland, Wigan, Reading, Sputhampton blah blah). I love the Bridge, but it's holding us back a a club and it's capacity often restricts attendance for PL and CL games. Development would also make it easier for families to attend, costs a fortune at the moment. It's a no brainier of the club want to grow.

Usually because they are tidying up the mess left behind by chronic under investment in infrastructure, healthcare etcetra....
The NHS in the UK was a product of a left wing government, along with the welfare state. Though not always a success it's provided support to those in need for nearly 50 years, providing a vital safety net for British society. Take a look at the right wing reaction to Obama care.... then tell me that left wing governments always end in failure.

I'd love to see some standing areas back (great call Hutchi) no reason why they could introduce them again, safety design is so much better these days. They have them in German grounds and it works well, in fact those are the areas where the noise is made. I was young but I'll always remember standing as a lad in the shed, atmosphere was cracking.
Nostalgia is great, but the ground as it stands is not the one of many of our childhoods, it's been torn down and rebuilt so many times. Hell getting in an out is a bitch at the moment.
Had to give up my season ticket this year (commitments at home), but I'd like to renew it soon and as things stand I could be waiting for years. Lower prices for families and bring in category games again and we would have no trouble filling 60k.

You obviously forget the number of times DD wanted to leave us. Or the periods when he was pants (there have been several - shock horror).
He played on the wing because Carlo wanted Drogba through the middle (by the way that didn't help him). Hardly benched Drogba, for most of last year all of those seated around me wanted Nando to start over "the legend" because of his poor attitude and performance.

Same DD who scored thirteen league goals between 2007-09 seasons? Or the one that managed only 16 league goals in his last two seasons at the club?

Did management give him time? Yes, and that's precisely why he became a legend. I thank my lucky stars that some of the people on here don't run our club.

I compared them last year and you said it wasn't a fair comparison due to age. So I've rewound a few years and compared Drogba first 18 months (in a better team) and now that's unfair as well. How about 07-09 when he managed only 13 leave goals in two seasons? Remember a lot of people wanting rid off him at that point. Or his last two seasons when he scored only 16 league goals in 60 league games?
Drogba was a great striker. What really made him great was that he stepped up in big games and changed it for us. I won't deny that.... but I won't pretend there were not periods when he was pants.
Torres has had a pants period, sure he is partly responsible for that, but so is the team (see Drogba stats over same period). Unlike some I'm not writing him off just yet. I'll give him till Xmas, if he / team is struggling then I'll accept that we might need an alternative. But until then I'm giving him my 100% support.

Fulham, Brentford, Orient are not our rivals. Not in my lifetime anyways. United & Liverpool are definitely rivals, the aggressive atmosphere at any home game against them and my irrational hatred of the scouse is all the proof I need.

Also noticed that half the goals scored just so happened to have bounced into his general direction of someones arse. Obviously Torres needs to work on his bouncing of a defenders arse positioning. Something I felt would improve his game for a long time.
