Yeah one mistake too many, sell Cech, Cahill and Cole and switch to 4-3-2-1... I think it's about time people started to over react more.
-
Calm down the first goal was almost undefendable, second a fuxking cock up by Cech.
-
Equalizer was a great goal.... but WTF Cech, that was school boy!!
-
I understand that, what I'm saying is he isn't going to say "I'm looking forward to signing for Chelsea." Sensible thing to say is I love this club, if my leaving would help insure its survival I'm willing to sacrifice myself. Be interesting to hear what he said if they were flogging him to Middlesborough. Might find he wasn't so willing to help out their finances...
-
Err not likely to say "I can't wait to get out of this shit hole", what happens if the deal falls through? Common sense really.
-
Running out of countries to manage in then.
-
Jovetic, as good as he is could not lead the front line on his own. Actually think this could be a good bit of business, he offers something different from Torres and would be willing to sit out occasionally.
-
Makelle? Also Lampard was voted in the top three for world player of the year twice, kinda makes him world class IMO.
-
?..... twelve year olds wet dream!!!
-
Cavani isn't signing for us, not seen a single reliable source regarding this, also runs counter to the statement that he was going to be leading our front line this year. For me it's Azi and Moses / Hulk (delete as you see fit). Actually think Sturridge could be a great CF, probably be better as one of two though as I don't see him leading the front line on his own.

http://www.standard.co.uk/sportheadlines/sturridge-happy-at-chelsea-7499086.html Don't believe everything you read in the press (I'm aware of the irony in saying this having posted a link). If i remeber rightly he also said he was happy to play out wide if it helped the team, but would like more of an opportunity through the middle. With Anelka, Torres, Drogba, Lukaka and Kalou that was never very likely.... I believe he should get plenty of opportunity this year. I hate the rag tops and there paper selling agendas.
-
I can't believe Sinclair is seriously considering a move to Man City. What's wrong with the lad, his career stalled at Chelsea, and it's sure to do the same at City, I mean where does he fit in (other than adding to the HG rule). Can't see us signing him, in fact I see Newcastle or Liverpool being a more viable option. Hell even Arsenal would make more sense.
-
I agree with you, he is very different to our current strikers, certainly capable of changing the game since he can hold the ball up better that Torres or Sturidge. Also offers a pretty good games to goal ratio.... in all honesty it amazes me that he failed at United, guess he struggled to adapt to their style.
-
Not sure United have the cash, they have spent a fair whack already given the constraints the Glazers debt loading has placed on them. But if they scraped the cash together they could have a very scary looking squad. Not sure how they would line up though given the other signings this summer
-
I hear ya, but going into the season with only 2 strikers could be risky given the 60+ games we could be play this year. I don't want another £40 million player, but would feel more comfortable with a cheaper alternative.
-
I'm noting this and I'm going to revisit this thread in 3 months. I'm betting he has a 2:1 goal ratio by the end of the season.
-
Hate is a strong word, perhaps I've used it in the wrong context. But the reaction of fans regarding his performance is laughable. Guy has a penalty disallowed (created from nothing) shot cleared off the line and provided great movement up front. All of this in a match where we provided the fewest shots on goal in some time. He played well, people should give him a chance to prove himself this year, rather than jump on the rag tops not so secret agenda to sell papers.
-
Very good player, but for some reason I just don't see him in the same team as Mikel. Guess I don't see them offering enough going forward, but they sure would be imposing in that midfield battle.
-
Fair enough can't argue with that... ? Just worried about our back up plan, guess they have something up there sleeve though. Have to wait and see I guess.
-
I agree which is why someone with a 2:1 strike rate in the PL who can hold up the ball and is available cheap would be a viable option for a season or two as second fiddle to our main striker. Besides I think a striker should offer more than just goals, Drogba was an outlet who could hold up the ball and bring others into the game. Chico doesn't offer that...
-
Guy offers nothing, can't hold up play, doesn't link in with midfield and he is a midget. Hell I'd sign Defoe before I signed this guy. Name me someone available at a reasonable price who could play as a back up striker? Tired off the our only choice is a £30-40 million striker threads.
-
So Pirlo is available on a free an your response would be?
-
Any particular reason? Can think of a lot of rejects which did very well once they moved on.
-
His age is the best thing about this deal, provides experience (something people seem to bang on about), plus would be on his way out just as Lukaka and Sturridge are on the way in. His ability to link up with midfield is just what we need given the abundance of attacking talent we have bought. His goal tally is more than impressive. Plus he is very cheap £5-6 million and he is ours. But hey screw it lets sign another £40 million pound player, after all it's not our money.
