  1. No dire spect..... But FUCK that, £40 million for him is a scandalous amount of money. I'd honestly throw up a little bit of sick if we signed him for that.
  2. Fulham, Brentford, Orient are not our rivals. Not in my lifetime anyways. United & Liverpool are definitely rivals, the aggressive atmosphere at any home game against them and my irrational hatred of the scouse is all the proof I need.
  3. Definitely this, ppl keep forgetting the HG rule. No way we are going to sell him, he still has a lot to offer the club. They should be off loading Benayoun, Malouda along with a couple of others. Wages alone would save us in the region of £6-9 million.
  4. Seems to me they need to keep up there HG quota, so sell one guy buy another in the same position. Sinclair must be money orientated to head there as he won't get playing time. Kinda sad as he doesn't seem to have learned anything fin his time with us.
  5. Please please please don't spend 50m euro on this guy. In fact I guarantee they won't spend that much on him, we have been a little more prudent in this transfer window.
  6. Just because we are scouting doesn't mean we are buying.... Sure our scouts attend hundreds of games every year, do this is order to build up a portfolio of players.
  7. A lot of people believed it.... which is kinda funny I guess, hate social networking.
  8. Lol I told you the guy was on his summer holidays!!! Can't believe people buy into crap like this, obvious scam is obvious.
  9. I was championing the Berbatov idea but I'm beginning to feel we are just fine. Fairly sure we could recall Lukaka (we are not that stupid) if hit by injury upfront. Worst case scenario is we look for someone in the winter transfer window. Going to enjoy watching Torres this year along with all those haters back peddling on some of the statements made during the Pre-season. I know who you are....?
  10. Screw Justin_3d and his Torres bashing.... What's that? 3 in 4 games and a penalty assist (should have had two) to boot? And he still isn't 100%, 20 league goals this year... Easily!!!
  11. Very surprised by Sinclair, you thought he would have learned whilst at Chelsea. Seems he is making that same mistake with this latest transfer.
  12. Yeah good luck keeping them happy, big difference between playing for your country and sitting on the bench and playing for a club team and not getting into the squad. Let's see how long Welbeck and Hernadez stuck around at OT. Also a problem with squad sizes, financial fair play blah blah blah. We all want good players, but we also want a stable club not likely if you buy every player who ever becomes available.
  13. Oscar, Moses and Cesar were in the press for ages, as was Sahin to Liverpool or arsenal and RVP to united. Damn I could do that...
  14. Good call RDM has got it spot on so far.... I'd love for this guy to deliver this year, having someone who loves the club in charge is so important to me. Be fantastic of we could build a Barcelona / dare I say it Liverpool promote from within philosophy.
  15. Very impressive stats, he was outstanding today against United. Very confortable on the ball, great range of passing, combative and most importantly BELGIUM (we love those guys). Definitely one to keep our eyes on, going to keep a close eye on him this year.
  16. Has been a wonderful servant / or has been Winston Bogarde in disguise. Let's be honest the guy earns a fortune, but he gets on with the job, never let the team down and (I think) loves the club. Also massively underrated as a player, hell is still prefer him over Boswinga. Think a coaching role would actually suit him, maybe assistant manager at some point. Not sure he would like management, think he is too quiet for that.
  17. Can't see a need anymore, also appears RDM is balancing out that attacking four with a player who is willing to defend / track back (Bertrand / Ramirez). Great player but I'm actually thinking I'd prefer it if Moses was our last piece I transfer activity.
  18. Oh Fernando, then you go and spoil it all by playing like a top flight striker, oh I love you!!!! Never ceases to amaze me. Guy earns our penalty, scores our second and has by all accounts a magnificent game. And nothing from the haters.... Said it once I'll say it again, he shall score 20 league goals this year. No need for Cavani, or Falco or any of the others names touted around. Solid performance, far more compact but then I guess Newcastle had more of the ball than Wigan / Reading so we had to hold our shape (which suits Mikel). Mats and Hazard have already clicked which is great to see, be interesting to see who takes up that third spot in midfield. Mikel played well, Meireles was Blah, guy just gives the ball away to much to ever be a top flight player. Solid performance, lots more to come. It's good to be a blue!!!
  19. I'm glad he has moved, could be a very good player but he just never got the game time. I know England could certainly do with someone like him.
  20. Agreed as a stop gap for a couple I years whilst Lukaka learns the trade. He holds the ball up well and would link with our plethora of attacking midfielders. Despite never being first choice at Utd he has still managed a goal every other game.
  21. Bingo, they way he spun away from the guy vs Wigan and his burst into the box for the penalty. If I were a full back I'd hate him. Only option is to double up which leaves others open. Even then I think he is still going to cause problems. Damn, just can't believe how lucky we are to have signed this guy.
  22. How to play against him though? Mark tight an he turns the defender and uses his pace, give him space and you allow him to dictate the game and run at you. What a player, reminds me of Robben, only better and minus the injury prowness.
  23. Think it's his running style, makes him appear lazy... won't ever happen, but I still feel he has an awful lot to offer.
  24. Yeah when you factor in the £8 million a year wages and agents fees it's more like an £80 million outlay, ppl always forget wages for some reason.
