His crosses were better than Willian's, so we have that going for us.
-
Thought this was the wrong game for him to be starting in. Would start him against smaller teams but not against big teams where they have the majority of possession.
-
You can see that he was frustrated. While everybody else jogged around like zombies. Those yelling for him to get sold really don't know how lucky we are to have him.
-
That City game where he dominated the midfield seemed like ages ago.....
-
How on earth can he make mistakes 3 games in a row??? The annoying this is that, at the moment, the ones that could replace him are injured. I know Ivanovic had been stupid weak as well but what are the odds that he'd make mistakes like Cahill did? I'd take my chances with Iva in the middle until JT/Zouma is fully fit.
-
That's true. The only reason I'm looking to sell is because they are too big for me now. Might be a good idea to hang them up but have no space at the moment And I might be moving overseas

Mines aren't that old though, only from 2005-2013, with 1 0r 2 from the 90s. I won't even recoup half of what I paid for.

Anyone knows where I can sell my kits?
-
Seriously, Oscar can't even celebrate like that. Just another thing that Fabregas is better at.

Beautiful!!!!!

I don't think it would've hurt so bad if we are top of the table with a world class team worthy to be compared with Barcelona, Madrid and Bayern. But at the moment, the reality is that our team is filled with some average players and we are in a tough phase of rebuilding. If we end up being at the top again in the near future then this wouldn't sting much. It also became more of a mockery for Chelsea because Oscar turned out to be amazingly average. KDB will always be the one that got away. Selling Mata was right, I miss him and would take him back for cheap but at that time it was the right decision. Lukaku? Seriously, who cares? But KDB will always be the one that haunts me (for now). What's done is done, sadly.

Please....... Stop........ I cried when I saw Oscar at the bottom of the list.
-
If he ends up being worse than Ivanovic then that itself is a feat. I'm optimistic at the moment.
-
To be fair, at the moment there are no one that Cahill could be dropped for. I really really hope that Zouma recovers well, we're going to need him. Though Zouma is not as good as some made him out to be, he's miles ahead of Cahill.
-
Yeah.... I used to be an Oscar apologetic, but I'm sick of him now.
-
The scenes when Alonso starts at LB and turned out worse than Ivanovic...
-
I really like his professionalism and would really be sad if he leaves. I hope that he'll get back into the starting XI after Zouma's fit and Alonso acclimated to the defense (if it will happen at all). I definitely understand why Conte picks Matic and Oscar for the time being, since Cahill is a donkey.
-
I'm not gonna say that he's 'useless' but he's definitely should only be a squad player next season or. as some has mentioned, tried at b2b. I like him but RW is one of the positions we should be looking to upgrade next season together with the midfield. I wouldn't sell Willian though, he'd be a good option to have and quality depth.

This team is still so mentally weak, it's frustrating. The starting XI today should've been good enough to not lose to Liverpool but they started really strong, scored a goal (thanks to that ridiculous defending) and the team went into their shells. Conte must've yelled at them or something because the 2nd half were much better, so at least that's an improvement from last season where we would've lost this 3-0. The first goal was a defensive mistake, 2nd was an unstoppable shot (after a poor clearance by Cahill) and on another day those might not happen for Liverpool, but it's the way we allowed Liverpool to dominate is what's frustrating in that 1st half. Was also frustrating that we didn't really push even harder after Costa's goal. I can kind of make sense of why Conte makes subs late in the game, maybe trying to inject a final push that sacrifices the defense and leave little room for the opposition to react, when it works it works but when it doesn't it really looks stupid. The subs were simply too late for this game and it didn't work in the end. After the goal would've been a good time or after we lost that push around the 70th minute, at the very latest. There are some signs of improvements that are hard to notice when you are losing but we are only 5 games in, no way this team could do 180 turn from last season this fast. There are simply too many average players at the moment that are holding us back. The only change that can be made is probably Cesc on for Oscar and risk that slight weakness in midfield. At first I thought Alonso shouldn't be thrusted into a game this big but after watching Ivanovic I changed my mind. Not only was he crap both in defense and attack, he didn't act like how a captain should.
-
If you see the replay of the first goal you can see him running around totally confused. Quite embarrassing.
-
I'm hoping that he will start more games once our defense isn't so shaky (ie when Cahill and/or Terry are not in it). Because at the moment it's so weak that the work rate of Kante, Matic and Oscar is necessary to shield them.
-
Can say what you want about him that had been said countless times, but in the end of the day he scored both of the goals and ultimately goals are what matters.
-
To be fair he was fouled, but why even invite the risk? Shouldn't start again unless in emergency.
-
Such a stupid match. 2 really really stupid mistakes costed 2 points. Sigh...

I was arguing the same thing with a utd fan on another forum that said that he is the definition of of a box to box player. Told him that he's not defensively solid enough to be one. As communicate said, it really depends how you define b2b, for me it means someone that contributes to both sides of game.
