Playing 2 players who love running forward in the double pivot is just.. ugh.
-
Is it just coincidence that as soon as Lampard is back in the side, we play crappy again and Ramires underperforms? Food for thought.

Man United losing 0-1.

Clear penalty for Shakhtar not given vs. Juve.

Pumped.

Ooooo, I do like the looks of those line-ups. I'd be very happy with those!

Am I the only one who thought "...OK, he really could be a decent captain; at least a stand-in one." when he gave his post-match interview after the Arsenal game? He dictated the interview well, answered questions before they were even asked, and gave praise to the team and fans something to look forward to. I liked it. Finally, once again - His facial hair is epic.

Oscar, Oscar, Oscar. I think people are really underrating how well he's done to keep both Pirlo and Arteta quiet. That is really hard to do. The only Juventus games I've seen where Pirlo didn't totally boss the midfield were against us and vs. Fiorentina a week or-so ago. I never expected him to be so versatile. By versatile, I don't mean like in Fifa etc. as in the amount of positions he can play; but instead the amount of roles he can adopt on the pitch from that one position. He's also clearly very mature. He reminds me of Toni Kroos a little actually, but Oscar's the better at defending while Kroos has a better shot on him. Coming to us was a good move. We'll make sure he's good under pressure, which'll likely mean Brazil getting the best out of him at the World Cup. Oscar and Chelsea could potentially be a match made in heaven if things continue like they have.

I'm pretty sure this game will be a lot tougher than people here are expecting. They're not a Sunday League team. They're a team competing in the Champions League, just like us. We must respect them. I'd probably play - Cech; Azpi, Ivanovic, Cahill, Bertrand; Romeu, Ramires; Moses, Oscar, Marin; Torres. Gives rest to Terry, Mata and Cole which I believe is vital. We've got leadership in the centre with Ivan and Cahill. Romeu simply needs games, and I'm too afraid to slot Lampard in at the moment. It really is dawning on me that he isn't great for this team right now. Moses needs games, Marin needs games, Oscar is needed to be the playmaker and keep us 'serious' and going for the win, while Torres is our only option up-front.

Happy. Still need to create more chances though, and the Torres of old would've blasted that 1-on-1 chance away (in a good way), but a goal is a goal!
-
Literally LOL'd.
-
His finish could be described as sloppy or sublime. I'm not sure which one it was.
-
We're going to win the league.

Mikel, again, much better with Ramires beside him. Ramires, again, much better with Mikel beside him.
-
"Cazorla is better than Mata." I read that quite a few times this week. Both great players, no doubt; but there's also no doubt that Mata looked like a men amongst boys today.
-
We don't really have any game-changers on the bench. We really do need to get some good additions in the next 2 windows.
-
Err calm down guys. Ramires is starting.
-
If the trio are indeed starting, Arsenal's wingers could have a good time. I would've liked Mata, Hazard, Moses. At least that way we'd have a player tracking back and offering proper width. We may not need to track back much though if the trio retain the ball well however.

I genuinely had a dream about this game last night, but it ended in a draw as the game was called off due to Voldemort setting fire to the pitch.

John Terry has been found INNOCENT in a court of law. John Terry has been found GUILTY by the F.A. He will be banned for FOUR games, which is only ONE game more than a regular red card. Laughable. (Of course there's the fine too.) The FA are an embarrassment. If you're going to go against the law's decision and decide someone's guilty (wrongly, in my opinion) in your eyes for racism or a racist remark, at least make the punishment a bit more than that. Otherwise there shouldn't be punishment at all.

I posted something in the 'we need a new striker' section, and I hope it's not made the wrong impression. I don't actually really want Falcao here. Reason being; he's one of, if not my very favourite strikers in world football right now, and I believe his career would stagnate here. We need a harder worker up-front IMO.
-
Easy. Vidic is out, Rio is past it, their other defenders aren't exactly great anymore, De Gea is overrated in my eyes etc. Rooney/Van Persie will be on top form I assume (I'd prefer to play against Rooney), and Ramires could do a job on Scholes or Carrick if he starts on the pivot.

I don't understand the Yaya Toure comparisons. From what I've seen of him in midfield, he's more like... Capoue I think. (Well, I've only seen Capoue a few times, but he's who's coming to mind right now.) That's still a huge compliment to him though. It seems that his natural skills etc. are more suited to being a defender, but his occasional concentration lapses etc. make him better in midfield at this point. He'll probably do similar to Terry. Mature for a bit in midfield, then shift permanently into central defence. (I believe that's what Terry did anyway. I'm too young to know for sure.)

Look at Falcao here vs. Athletic Bilbao. A lot of people are saying that if he came here, he'd have the same problems as Torres. In this video though, Falcao receives the ball in similar ways where he's isolated etc. like Torres often is with us, but he somehow just manages to make something out of it almost every time. It's also quite amazing that Falcao is 5'10" while Torres is 6'0". Falcao tames the ball like Drogba used to at times. I absolutely love his headers (not really shown in this 1st video.) They're brilliant. Now here are some of his headers (keep in mind HE IS SHORTER THAN RAMIRES) - He is probably, along with Ronaldo, the most complete striker in the world. (Well, I'm sure there's some gem hidden somewhere than only hardcore scouts know about, but I'm talking generally within the top 10 or so leagues.) How could you not want him!?
