Just because we sack most managers doesn't mean we should keep Di Matteo just to try and change the media's look about us. In fact, it shouldn't be a factor whatsoever.

When I did my big long rant on Roberto Di Matteo and then got called a 'fake fan' etc, I stressed that it's not his tactics which will be his downfall - but his lack of balls. What I said seems to, unfortunately, be happening.

If Torres gets bullied up-front by the QPR defenders today (which I'm half-expecting), we should put Mikel up there instead and play him as a target man. #DiMatteoLogic

For some of our fans it was attractive, but not what pundits or our owner considers 'attractive'. Teams like Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, Ajax, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid etc. are teams who play 'attractive football'. Roman wants silky passing and a domination of possession, not just passing it to the wings, crossing it to the striker (Drogba when we had Carlo) and scoring, regardless how many goals or wins we may/may not get. We haven't played like any of those teams listed aside from the odd game every season or 2.

We had Ancelotti, one of the best managers of the past decade. He won us the double, and did quite well with us in the Champions League. Just 1 trophyless season and he was sacked. Abramovich was rumoured to be heavily influenced when it came to his sacking by his desire for us to play attractive football. Why do some people think Abramovich won't do the same with RDM?

So it's either Mikel/Lampard in the double pivot (*Enter loads of swears here*) or Mikel/Ramires in the double pivot, Lampard behind Torres, Hazard on the right and Bertrand on the left. Guess which one it'll be? Probably the first. I cannot fathom why Ramires is getting picked over Moses.

I've got £5 on - Manchester United to win vs. Wigan Manchester City to win vs. Stoke City Chelsea to win vs. QPR Bayern Munich to win vs. Mainz Barcelona to win vs. Getafe Valencia to win vs. Celta Vigo. Potential return - £48.52. I'm not feeling lucky. Wigan can beat anyone in the league on their day, Stoke City could get a draw, anything can happen with us, and Valencia are inconsistent. Worth a shot though!

Anyone placing any bets on these games today/tonight? I think I may go for collective wins for - Russia (maybe), Spain, Germany, Poland (maybe), England, France and Portugal. I probably wouldn't win that much though, even on an accumulator.
