  1. I know it doesn't look it, but that was actually a really good goal. It's good he chased down the ball. I didn't expect that from him.
  2. If Di Matteo had never played for us before, would we be getting all these same people dismissing the idea of Guardiola coming in? My point is - It's fine if you want Di Matteo to stay and not get Guardiola in. Di Matteo is doing a good job. But you can't call fans 'plastic' for wanting the guy who's managed possibly the greatest team ever ahead of the guy who's managed West Brom and MK Dons. Just because Di Matteo won the Champions League doesn't mean he's a great manager or that he's right for us. Ljupoko Petrovic won the Champions League with Red Star Belgrade once. It doesn't mean he's instantly a great manager though. I believe Di Matteo is the kind of guy who'll get us playing as a great team with a good spirit. I believe Guardiola is the kind of guy to turn our players who are potentially world-class (Hazard for example), into world class, and change the philosophy of the club into a more positive one. I'm confident that with Di Matteo in charge, we'll never see Kalas, Feruz, Chalobah, McEachran etc. making the impact they could potentially make. Hazard, for example, (in my mind) will never be world class with Di Matteo as manager. I'm positive. That said, I'm fine with either of them as manager. Also, I believe that a lot (not all) of the people who say "I don't want that Tika-Taka bullshit at Chelsea" are just in denial. Barcelona play and have played some of the most beautiful football ever. You can't expect us to be the 'rough and tough' Chelsea we used to be when we had Drogba, Ballack, Essien (in form) etc. We now have quick, agile, small and nimble players. Under Di Matteo though, they look like headless chickens as we don't seem to be going in any particular direction.
  3. I honestly don't see a single player coming in. As for going out, maybe Malouda, but I still think it's more likely he'll leave in the Summer. Everyone else will be staying I assume.
  4. Yep. Very good player, but not a great player.. at this point. Hopefully he leaves for his own sake. He's too good for anything below the npower Championship though in my opinion. I think he'd fit in perfectly at Brighton.
  5. Apparently Real Madrid are going to try and sign Cicinho from Sevilla. He's probably been the best right-back in La Liga this season. He kept Ronaldo completely quiet a month or two ago when Sevilla and Real Madrid met. He's described as being almost as good as Dani Alves going forward, and better than Sergio Ramos was at defending when he played at right back. Not too shabby.
  6. I. Just. Want. A. New. Centre. Back. Or. Two. Please.
  7. Juan Mata has been named the Premier League player of the month (October) October Premier League stats: Games: 3 Assists: 3 Goals: 3 MOTM: 1 Total minutes played: 252 Average pass completion: 90% Touches: 238 (Avg. per game: 79)
  8. I feel like Bony would have the sort of impact Cisse had at Newcaslte Utd - Start off with a goal every game or-so, then suddenly turn into an inconsistent player. I have no facts, logic, or anything to back that up - just a gut feeling.
  9. Really hope Newcastle Utd win this, but I'm still doubting it I'll be winning a nice £120 if they do!
  10. Fgs Newcastle. Why must you play so shit today?
  11. Fiorentina now in 4th place!!! <3.
  12. Oh how I wish we'd sign Javi Fuego. Perhaps the best tackler I've seen in the last decade, Makelele aside. He's 28, quite short for a defensive midfielder, and has never played for a top club - but I'm sure he'd be a fantastic addition to the squad.
  13. On a separate note though - Oh how I wish we signed Pirlo when he was a free-agent!
  14. And I am right. Juventus's undefeated run comes to an end!
  15. Inter have really good support you know.
  16. Was I finally right about something? Inter to end Juventus's streak? 15 minutes left...
  17. McEachran just lost the ball and Middlesbrough conceded.
  18. Oooo. Still won my bet. I won't rage. Albeit less money now.
  19. Who's wearing number 12 for Arsenal? What a pillock.
