I think Cech punching that ball away (or trying to at least) was an instruction from Rafa. He used to get Pepe Reina to do that quite often. He really does have strange instructions for the goalkeepers he manages.

What the fuck Cech. Just what the fuck.

Azpi has been so good recently. jesus christ.

I wanted him when he was at Rangers. So so so much. He's just... what a striker is meant to be really. He's also kinda loveable it has to be said. I'm sure people here will post "HE'S NO FALCAO OR CAVANI SO HE'S NOT GOOD ENUFF FOR CHELSEA XOXOX" etc, but I'd welcome him with open arms!

@robdog, I'll be honest.. I have a huge soft spot for Real Betis. They've by far the best support in La Liga in my opinion (when you remove the fans who have Barcelona/Real Madrid as their 2nd team etc.) No question. I went on holiday to Seville a few years ago and went to a match at home vs. Barcelona. It ended 2-2 I think. On a related note, Seville have some of the nicest people (in general) ever. They're sooo laid back. I love it.

Since there's obviously talk of managers etc. right now - PLEASE FUCKING STOP WITH THE "RDM - GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN! <3" SHIT. HE ISN'T DEAD, IS HE? NO. Jeez.

Just a thought - The current Premier League champions, Manchester City, - After all the money they spent, like we did this Summer, how long did it take them to properly blend etc. and work together well? More than a season. Patience is needed.
-
Expected to compete with the top 2 Manchester clubs? After finishing SIXTH in the league last season, losing our best striker and getting rid of most of our midfielders? Losing our best central defender to injury and the games he was suspended for? If I recall correctly everyone was saying we were hoping/expecting a top-4 finish this season - not a fight for the title. Rafa is part of the club. I'm not putting anyone or anything 'first'. How on earth is moving from 4th of the table to 3rd a sign that we're turning into a mid-table club...?
-
How exactly is drawing against the Premier League champions, keeping 2 clean sheets in a row after conceding just about every game until his appointment, keeping a point vs. a team who're scoring as many goals as any team at the moment (including a good few vs. Arsenal) and moving from 4th to 3rd in the table the sort of form to bring into question if a manager is right for us or not?... It's not like Torres is any worse under him. Luiz isn't any worse. Mikel is just the same. I honestly don't know what people are going on about right now. You don't just walk into a club and magically make them keep clean sheets all of a sudden and get the shittest striker in the league to begin firing in goals each time. Things happen step-by-step in football. All this "We need to give managers time!! Stability brings success!!!" then "RAFA OUT!!!!! 2 CLEAN SHEETS AND 2 POINTS FROM 2 GAMES ISN'T ENOUGH! HAVE HIS HEAD!!!" despite just losing and drawing games for around a month before he was put in charge. alright then.
-
It's like people don't see any positives lol Another clean sheet, AND, do people not realise - We've just moved from 4th to 3rd? We're ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham?
-
"WOT HAPPENINZ TO OUR BLUE CLUB!?!? :'( :(" Please calm the fuck down drama queens. Rafa has been in charge for TWO games and has now delivered TWO clean sheets. Obviously we need to improve, but it's like people expect this to be Football Manager where a manager can just walk in, change everything in 2 training sessions and be World Cup winners despite being a club.
-
Drawing with the Premier League champions and then (potentially) drawing/winning (doubt it) vs. Fulham who've been one of the most free-scoring teams this season AND keeping clean sheets in both those games is better than drawing vs. Swansea who just got into the Premier League last season and losing vs. West Brom IMO.
-
Oh we kicked off again.
-
My earliest memory of a Chelsea match was vs. Fulham I believe. We lost by a goal or we drew 0-0... I think... I'm not sure. Anyway, I remember it due to always thinking of it as "the most boring game I've ever seen." This game though... this beats it.
-
My left nut begins to pulse with pain every time I see Torres go down after a slight nudge.
-
Our players mainly pass to the feet and don't move when off the ball. That needs to change if we want goals. We need movement off the ball so there's always someone available for a pass in an attacking position, and we need someone deep to hit long balls over the opposition's defence for Torres to exploit. Most of his goals if I remember correctly actually came from DEEP lobbed passes at Liverpool - not through-balls or passing to his feet. De Bruyne.. I really do think he can become our Gerrard.. only not a cunt.
-
Can we legally, within the rules of football, get rid of one of our subs (Turnbull), put Rafa or Zenden or a crowd member on the bench, and then sub one of them on for Torres?
-
I honestly don't give a shit right now about clean sheets. I JUST WANT GOALS, GOALS, GOALS DAMMIT!!!
-
I think that's Lukaku's 5th goal in..11 games? Or is it 12 games? Either way that's not bad for a TEENAGER (technically) in the Premier League!!!
