It's not that I think Sterling is one of the greats mind you, but because I think Hazard is an extremely overrated player especially around here (not so much elsewhere).
The extra flair Eden might have over Sterling is easily made up for a lot more work rate as well as the ability to pass the football (as oppose to take it home).

Great player with an excellent attitude on and off the pitch.
Suspect we may be going back to a false 9 which is actually my preference given the squad we've got.
I'm actually hopeful we may actually see his best years as a footballer.

Not sure buying AM's from Germany for big money is ever a good idea.

I think it’s more strange he was on performance enchantment drugs and was still absolute turd, hope he at least got a refund

Disasi can do well there. He is half decent, if he doesn't have to pass from the back and the D line isn't too high. On top of that he is never injured.

true as well. Don't think they are mutually exclusive. It did not work so well against poor-form City.
Jackson plays a big part in our game plan away from home -- he makes really great runs and plays well in counters. Without him, things might get more interesting.
I really hope Filip is at least better than Sanchez, but honestly, I don't feel anything at the moment. It's way too soon considering where, against who, and how often each played.

Maybe groin? He stretched his right leg to pick up the pass from Neto in a nice exchange between the two, then dropped to the ground. Looked OK after that, but perhaps he wasn't 100% anymore.

Enzo could've seen a red there. Directly into the ankle.

The last thing we really need. It could have been a blessing in disguise for him.
I guess we'll find out the full extent tomorrow.

Think we've been outplayed by both Fulham and Bournemouth at SB. Actually, I'd not consider ourselves favorites against either one of these teams anywhere at the moment. Bournemouth style even worse because they pressure our weak D line a lot.
Still, FUCK POTTER! 😆

GAME OVER!
A win is a win, but we need to start playing better if want to beat better sides.

Another CB against their long balls/aerial game.
Man that was terrible by Nkunku -- take the shot!

I mean it would be a brutal red, hardly ever seen one given for something like that, we'd all be fuming for sure. But sure, it could have been given. It was a pretty minor incident imo

professional foul: stop a dangerous (counter) play. Pretty easy one tbh.
He lost the footrace and had an arm on the player for a long time. Looks pretty unfit.

Pretty sad watching James (try to) chase that player... shows how far from his peak he is.

Fair, they are certainly more competitive w/ their high press.
I think the point remains about physique though; opponents who see him in our lineup will just pin their strongest, biggest player on him. That was very effective against Bournemouth, so much so Maresca panicked and subbed Josh off immediately after--for the record I'd have done the same.

This.
It's the "cost" of working with projects vs seasoned players who can cope with pressure as well as different in game situations.

It's much easier to play well when things are going well. When they aren't. it takes characters/leaders to get the team going again. We have none.
