  1. Yeah looking like a Hammy there. Disaster (no pun) if we lose him despite his form/finishing IMO.
  2. Tbf, Madueke and Palmer shots were pretty poor. Need to shoot on goal... come on!
  3. Something can always get worse, I'm afraid. If Filip causes us to lose several points until the end of the season and costs us the CL, would that restore faith in Maresca as well? That's why I don't think that's nearly as important as Filip proving he's good enough, to mostly like the Goalkeeping and other coaches (more so than Maresca himself).
  4. That's not nearly as important as to find out whether Jorgensen is good enough or not... or even better than Sanchez. I hope to not even have that answer today: like we dominate and win the match without testing our goalie too much. Personally I don't think much of WHU as a team, but we haven't been playing very well lately.
  5. Fair, they are certainly more competitive w/ their high press. I think the point remains about physique though; opponents who see him in our lineup will just pin their strongest, biggest player on him. That was very effective against Bournemouth, so much so Maresca panicked and subbed Josh off immediately after--for the record I'd have done the same.
  6. Trevoh has just arrived too, so while the other CBs have been training under Maresca for 6mo +, Trevoh is new to it. For me Acheampong was far far worse than Trevoh and against much lesser opposition; no, the opposition won't go any easier on you if you are young and frail.
  7. He does not have the physique to play in the PL yet.
  8. He looks like a good player alright, but unless he takes care of his injury problem or he will be come as useful as Fofana.... not at all.
  9. Good *young* player.... so, we sign him in the summer, and if we expect him to develop into the player we need in another 3-4 years, I think @lluubbeenn is slightly off above: I'd say he will come good at around 2029, maybe even 2028. 😆 Seriously he showed quality in ball control, pace, and power, in long ball situations. There are tons of specific demands at a big club he won't be ready for immediately once signed. The mere placements of the D line would already feel very different for him.
  10. 5x1 and city are lucky game is over because they have stopped playing. Embarrassing.
  11. Kai nice finish for the 4th … man getting embarrassing for city lol
  12. Odegaard is having a monster game. Prob arsenals best player: skill and an amazing presser. Trossard is doing really well too. Kai had an assist for the first then missed a sitter… lucky guy.
  13. Game over 3x1 arsenal. despite the result and their performance today, I’m afraid city are playing better. These giveaways won’t happen against lesser teams which do t press as high or hard.
  14. 2x1 partey after deflection — another giveaway by city’s D
  15. 1x1 haaland. foden is finally starting to play better.
  16. The announcer here kept on saying Kai scored assisted by Martinelli… no one corrected him in the first half so weird.
  17. Very young and already broken.... So, are you saying he's made for Chelsea? 😅
  18. They should've pulled Danny Drinkwater out of retirement... Danny would've been a challenge alright. The dry air might have helped his career too. Funny note our own T. Bakayoko is talking with 2nd (3rd?) tier Brazilian side (Sport Recife). have to say he's still the worse mid I've seen play at a top club (yes much worse than the fella above 👆).
  19. Interesting to see Gallagher on the bench and Azpi starting for Atletico.
  20. sure, but the footballing world does care. We perhaps wanted to see him reaching his potential as a player, I doubt that's going to happen now. Good luck to him, but I won't hold my breath.
  21. There is no doubt in my mind that the club knows exactly how poor Sanchez is, especially in comparison with the clubs we dispute CL with. Just PR talk.
  22. It could very well hinder his development as a potentially top player.
  23. Agreed on Felix, which is the reason he was employed as a false 9 last time here, and wasn't great either: had a few good games initially then his laziness was apparently on every match. For the record, Estevao is nothing like Felix already; even as young as he is, he's always looking to get the ball and participate in all team movements. While I don't expect him to dominate the league at his age, I do think he has the potential to become a very special player.
