Garnacho is already better and has a much higher ceiling IMO -- entirely basing my opinion on what I've seen from Nkunku at Chelsea, not before.
-
Right, but maybe he seen enough of him to know he's even worse. In which case, what could he say?
-
What do people expect him to say about his player, and starter? 🙄 "He's a shit goalie, but the other one I've got happens to be even worse?" That'd work wonders with the squad... he'd be sacked within a hour. Again, all he is saying is that he believes Sanchez is the best goalie in the roster, and I don't have evidence to say he is wrong. We have absolutely no idea what he says behind the scenes.
-
someone always does. 😕
-
not completely disagreeing, but it's all the same thing for me--esp in the modern game. Tosin and Trevoh for example, is just too much of the same. Makes the team lose quality in possession.
-
I agree that he will likely not influence games in attack too much — he’s another 20yo after all. i don’t expect Estevao to do that either. I think Garnacho could help us concede fewer goals, which for me is the main problem with the team right now. Neto does a bit of that too, but has been inconsistent of late. its really hard to win matches, esp away from home, when you concede goals. And as much as people like to talk about the CBs or the DM, I suspect the problem is more of teamwork rather than in specific areas.

Highly rated and 13m don’t go along well together 😄 unless he is 13yo.

We need to defend a lot better than we've been defending to get anything out of this game.
-
Yes, but I think the point here is that what worked back then may not necessarily work now.

No fan of Noni here. Think he lacks skill -- the selfishness bit only makes it worse as it is on display when we have to defend. Still it's a team balance thing: if we had Sancho on the left, Felix on the right, and Cole in the center, we would lose a lot more than win. Just not enough people doing the defensive tasks.
-
I don't hate him, but I also don't rate him--never did. It's not strange at all. We know him. He has played for the club before. He was employed as a false 9 because he can't play anywhere else in modern football, and he's not good enough as a false 9 for a club like Chelsea. He's not a new player waiting to show his stuff; we all know his game from his performances at Chelsea, in Spain, and for Portugal. 🤷♂️ Is it really a surprise that Maresca does not seem to rate him either?

Likely returning to Brazil. Wasn't good enough to leave yet anyway.

I dislike Trump as a human being, and disagree with a lot of his policies, but not all. I also respect that the majority here agreed with his priorities regardless of what I, personally, would have preferred. With that out of that way, I think that these first days are showing how lazy and outdated Biden's presidency really was.

I know, that's what the "post-mortem" I referred to. 😆 It did not take long to notice Disasi was a poor footballer -- surprised there were people defending that signing. Sometimes a dud is just a dud, like Bakayoko was before him.
-
Fair, but it literally has nothing to do with pardoning people who beat up cops who were there doing their jobs. The opposite of ID politics isn't, "let's kill cops."

Hard to say assuming the reports aren't just agents making noise. I'm not a fan of Madueke's game; think he's a player for a smaller team to be honest: too reliant on pace and power, which only gets you so far. Disagree on whether Madueke is better. They are incredibly different players. Garnacho is that short high work-rate winger who will do a good job blocking that side even when he's not firing in all cylinders; Madueke isn't very useful unless he's scoring or assisting, which unfortunately does not happen often enough. Agreed that it's not one of the glaring weaknesses esp with the younger SA players coming soon. On the other hand, watching us play suggests whoever is there atm isn't cutting and we lost(?) Mudryk. Perhaps it's just a player the club rates (he's young too) and the opportunity presented itself.
-
We need a striker to complete/rotate with Jackson and the new striker needs to be of a different type too. On the other hand, our level of play including against weaker opposition at the SB suggests we need a lot more than that. Like I stated before, I like Garnacho at the right price, but he's also very raw at 21yo. His ceiling is a hell lot higher than Mudryk's and he can press high with intensity, so a huge upgrade.

Post-mortem agreement.

Trump in the Capitol building that he helped vandalize points to a "banana republic empire." 'Just days ago, Vice-President JD Vance told Fox News "if you committed violence on that day, obviously you shouldn't be pardoned." He also said there was a "grey area" in some cases.' https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c5y7l47xrpko Nope, he pardoned everyone. 🙄 Party of law and order my ass.

Sure, it was a must win, so they did the deed. I'd not suggest that Wolves plat remotely good football, nor that they are comparable with Fulham and Bournemouth; I call it the way I see it. Point being that we need to do better against better opposition. (most teams in the PL are better)
-
Good to see that KDH can play football at least—not very well tho. good save by Sanchez.
-
Jackson totally offside.
-
True. Gotta beat the lousy sides.
-
This wasn’t great tbh. Difference is the lousy opposition.
-
That should be enough now lol
