It all comes down to consistency. Anyone can put together 1-2 great performances, and Willian is certainly doing that now but he's been largely hot and cold for most of this season.
-
Striker scores its job done my friend. He was poor in every build up you are correct in saying that but he did provide presence up top and scored a VITAL goal.
-
Pretty sure they played 4-4-2 with Manzukic and Griezmann up top for that game.
-
I know who he is but he plays on the Left side predominantly. I don't think you can produce any evidence that he can play on the right can you?
-
I'm astounded people are still fretting over the title being lost somehow...
-
So maybe that is the fixture for the weakened team?
-
Nah my bad it was Graham Hunter. http://talksport.com/football/chelsea-and-barcelona-are-leading-chase-paul-pogba-talksport-told-150414143101

That DiMarzio guy... It was on TalkSports a few weeks ago.

Careful here, Words don't always convey sentiment correctly. Zidane is without question one of the greatest players the world has ever seen and the same can be said about El Fenomeno. That's not overrating them that is just the flat out truth... Hazard will be there as well, and it won't take a World Cup win or a smashing goal in the Euro or Champions League. He is fantastic! He just needs to be fantastic for more than 2 seasons and show more quality in his prime years. The greats consistently put in brilliant performances and that's what Hazard has to do over the course of his career.
-
How do rumours get started...?? He had a meeting with their president gets turned into "POGBA SNUBS CHELSEA AND UTD FOR PSG" For the record his agent met with us too.
-
Why are we gonna buy a guy for 40m who hasn't even really featured in the position we want him for?
-
I hope you're right but Real Madrid being who they are will find a way I'm sure.
-
Well first off it will put Real Madrid in overdrive. If they know they're facing a ban they will do everything in their power to get the right players in before the ban commences. Also, eliminates other potential targets such as Koke and Isco making Pogba the only well sought after player out there... The market price may go up.
-
This "ban" could be bad for Chelsea in their pursuit of Pogba.
-
No thanks, Hazard is just too exciting to watch and Bale seems the type to get a hamstring injury once every 3 weeks... We don't need another player who is injury prone, he runs very hard and that is not good for his body.
-
he's box to box.
-
My question is where does he play? I'm struggling to see a scenario where Jose buys a striker who is under 176cm. He won't play on the left and hasn't played on the right... I think is bullshit.

One of the great chants of this era.... Perfect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5r0OXHL7jw&feature=youtu.be

Okay brother.... I'll leave it to you. Koke and Pogba at the bridge next year. I doubt it highly is all I'm gonna say.
-
When people stop comparing him to Messi and Ronaldo they will realize he's a lot more like zidane. The problem is most here were too young to watch Zinedine play....
-
Brother, we're not gonna sign both Pogba and Koke, the mere suggestion of such a thing is ludicrous. We have the HG player quota to be conscious of and also our wage bill. Matic, Ramires, Mikel, Fabregas Loftus-Cheek and one more(Pogba or Koke) with the likelihood of Mikel leaving. If Real Madrid sign Pogba then we look to alternatives, but right now all signs point to Pogba at the bridge next year.
-
You speak of versatility but where is he elite? Ramires can function in every role you spoke of except the 10 but he's more effective at other roles. I don't dislike Koke, I think he's okay, but if we want to take this squad to the NEXT LEVEL we need to be signing elite level players or at least players with that sort of potential. If we keep signing great players we'll continue to be a great team. Elite teams sign elite players and right now Koke looks more like a role player than a boss... and for 44m(more if the buyout is actually met) he's not the best investment a squad that have to be 100% right about their signings should make. Yes we can help fund his acquisition with Salah's sale and Luis going back but in the end we could use those exact same sales to fund a move for an elite level athlete. Sorry its Pogba for me or an Elite level, goal scoring inside forward. That's how we get to the next level.
-
You're probably right in that Koke might be easier to prize but if its for the rumoured amount why would we even think of entertaining that?? For me Koke is a debatable upgrade to Oscar, so to pony up 44m for him, more than double what we spent on Oscar to get a player who may be better seems ludicrous. I'd rather we hold out for the superior player, Pogba who won't have many suitors since most can't afford him.
-
If we pay the full amount for the buyout there will also be tax imposed on the deal taking the net spend well over £50m before wages.... Sorry but Koke ain't that special in my eyes. If Supporter is right and he is made available in the 20-30m range(highly doubt it, why would Atleti feel the need to sell?) then I would be first in line to say "BUY" but for that price the suitors will go way beyond just Chelsea.
-
I disagree. Mainly because like we saw with Mata, the machinery changes year after year and what you need in your club is ever evolving. Pogba, to me at least can fit into any side because he has a great frame, strength, athleticism, speed and technique. He seems highly adaptable to a variety of shapes and styles. I don't dislike Koke but for 40m I need someone who is exceptional and I don't see that sort of quality in him... I could be wrong though.
