We've been the most consistent team in the Prem by far this year, of course its possible for us to slip up but the likelihood is highly unlikely. I just can't see our squad blow this lead, 7pts and a game in hand is too much to lose at this point. I think we got it wrapped up but I'm sure the mentality of the players and the manager will be completely different to that of mine.

It would take a collapse of Gerrardian proportions for us not to lift the title. If Arsenal reel off 15 straight wins one could say they deserve the title... Not gonna happen. Sorry. Not on Jose's watch.

He plays for Fluminense in Brazil. The deal looks like its around £6m. He'll be nowhere near the first team, he'll likely be loaned out and if he shows serious promise brought back into the squad. He just fits with our recent policy of buying players cheap and selling them for more whilst they're on loan.

I'll take his shadow over 98% of the managers out there! CAREFREE!

“Why are you so pessimistic in life? It's more difficult to succeed. You have to be optimistic. Maybe you are a guy with great potential and you don't move on because you're pessimistic. Be optimistic. "Believe in yourself, be positive. We want to win against Southampton. We have 11 matches to play, an advantage of five points and one match in hand. We cannot promise we'll win every game, or even that we will win the PL, but we are optimistic. You look very pessimistic. I think you have to enjoy life in a different way.

He's decent. We won't pay over the odds to get him, he's another one to watch that we'll have under contract. I'm not disappointed.
-
What are you talking about? first off his technique is fabulous! Not Hazardesque but DEFINITELY NOT Lukaku!! He doesn't play striker he is a right sided AM with goalscoring potential. I for one haven't seen enough to comment but depending on the fee I'd be interested in him. Seems like an intriguing prospect who can potentially develop into a fantastic player... at 19 I seriously doubt we'd be looking at him to feature for us right away but clearly his skill make him a worthy investment.

Him at Fiorentina and him at Chelsea are two different prospects. Give it time...

Just like there's nothing wrong with me thinking its a bit presumptuous. Look at the other players who were brought in by Jose, Salah, Schurrle, Willian even Remy all needed at least half a year before they could be trusted to feature for him. I'm just saying wait till next season before you make those types of comparisons.
-
You're being too presumptuous but that's your prerogative...

I'm not in any way, shape or form worried about what Paul Pogba can do in big games. His confidence is sky high and you only develop mentally later on. That's why I brought up Hazard, he is now mentally maturing into one of the greats in the big games... Mourinho has taught him to be a man in those situations and I have no doubt he will do the same for Pogba. 22.... That is a baby in footballing years,

Here's where I stand, and its different from what I've gone on and said in the past. Oscar to me is a decent squad guy, not a guy with unlimited potential who you pay upwards of 30m+ for but a guy who will give you good performances and have the odd great one. I'm now inching closer to selling, not because I think he's is a bad player but because he's proving to me he doesn't have the necessary stamina to compete for an entire season at a big club. Two years in a row of epic drop off just isn't good enough for a club trying to win everything. I think part of it is what we're asking of him but right now he's not doing anything on the pitch that is making us a better team. He just looks so knackered and lost.

Honestly I think pogba is close to the best box to box midfielder in the world, at the age of 22 no less. I know I'm not the only one either since all of Europes big clubs are lining up to get him. Not sure why you're worried about his readiness against Europes biggest and best, some would still argue that Hazard has a lot to learn in how to approach those games. He's gotten much better this year but the previous two he often had no impact. Pogba is 22 on a good team, not a great team. If you surround him with better players he will flourish, that is what is appealing about his acquisition possibility. We don't need him to be our talisman, we need him to make our team more balanced and ultimately complete. Let Jose address the workrate and tempo issues. They said hazard had poor workrate and now he is consistently our best performer. His trajectory is one of the best in Europe, higher than koke and WAY higher than Isco. If he reaches his full potential he will provide you with everything. Speed, power, technical excellence, vision, goals, assists, stability and defensive contribution. You can't find another player in the game that will offer that.
-
I think you're being a bit too quick to judge. Cuadrado will need at least a half of a season in Jose's system before he can even challenge for a spot. He did the same thing with Schurrle and willian, you need to gain his trust before you feature. Having said that I've always liked Willian and though he worked hard for the team. He needs to dwell on the ball less and be more decisive in the final third. Pretty sure everyone will agree with that.
-
I'm not convinced these will be the kits. They look pretty cheap and aren't really worthy of a premier league champion or new sponsor.
-
We need goals in our squad we already have a bunch of guys who love to pass it. Pogba is the buy, play him in the 10 and we will dominate the epl for years to come. I promise this.
-
He has the right attitude! He hates the Scouse! lol Anyway I think he has his sights set on Arsenal.
-
Not with FFP. In Chelsea's position the amortized fees for transfers are intrinsic to the clubs well being. paying big money for a one contract player can have adverse affects on our future dealings. I'm not worried about it though, the club clearly understand this and have obviously re-signed players under contract with that in mind. Pogba is the buy could likely get 3 contracts out of him, and if true his fee spread out over a renewal would be peanuts.

Looked more like 4-1-3-2 to me
-
Wasn't really put under threat was he? JT did all the heavy lifting...
-
After today I was thinking the same. Having said that its way too early to write him off, he's obviously not settled yet.
