  1. I know its close to impossible to sign him but Conte should be tapping him up! He's exactly what we need
  2. Build around? No. Building block? Yes. He is a very useful piece in terms of building a solid midfield.
  3. I have a very good feeling about this. If we get Kante and Radja we've got the building blocks for a solid team to build around!
  4. Their problem was never in attack and with kompany looking ready for the glue factory this move could prove to be shortsighted.
  5. Ya that right there should tell you all you need to know regarding whether or not Mkitaryan is needed
  6. Imagine the uproar had we signed him. Wish him well but this is precisely why it's better to wait until after a major tourney before making a big commitment.
  7. you sound like you paint by numbers. I don't want to go around the mulberry bush again.
  8. anyone who thinks Real Madrid are going to buy a player back just to sell him a few months later have been playing way too much football manager.
  9. Please football gods grace us with Kante for 20m.
  10. No you aren't a scout, you don't what is available and you also don't know who we've actually put in bids for so your last post about buying the big name players is a bit ridiculous. And no players of high quality aren't always available for small prices, it is on occasion that this happens. Beyond that the players who are made available have to want to play here, its not just as simple as 'so and so is available for 10m we should buy him' A lot more goes into it than just availability. In your opinion Koulibaly, Umtiti and Baily are better but you're no scout remember? And there is nothing to suggest we haven't tested the waters of the names you've mentioned it could just be they don't want to sell or the player is not interested in our club. As I've already stated Bonucci, Barza, Chiellini, Marchisio were good players but not household names or even close to being considered world class(in the case of Bonucci and Chiellini) Marchisio and Chiellini were on the cusp of being household names the 2010 world cup they both were in the squad but neither started all 3 games. Anyways you're mincing my words much like Foxy, my point was they weren't the players they are now until they got with Conte who in my opinion turned them from good players into great. And raid France for what? Djilibodji?
  11. I still would I wouldn't replace him with Reus though.
  12. brother you're talking pure garbage. Reus is not anything close to what Hazard is as a player.
  13. I remember when all the talk here was about how he isn't injury prone and we should buy him for 60m… LOL
  14. I like Baba. I'm going out on a limb here but a 21yr old with limited first team football on a team that is floundering is never the best intro to a new league. He has talent and once he gets acclimated with how the league is played he's gonna be a beast.
  15. Ya thats the impression I've been getting. Still a bit young learning his craft. I'd take him over Manolas though, Kostas is a bit too rash in the challenges, goes to ground way too much. With him and Zouma it would be a red card and a pen waiting to happen.
  16. Ya a World Cup winner from the sidelines… If you accurately read what I wrote you would see that I said 'turns good players into great'.
  17. Name me these big name proven CB's you speak of? At what price will these big name CB's sell for? What is their wage demands? Is their a desire to play in the premier league or the champions league? It's not just a matter of going to a grocery store and selecting which CB you want to buy, they have to WANT to come here. In world football there is a real shortage of quality CB's anyways, the best have their choice to choose which club they will join and right now it's not going to be Chelsea. Trust the process, Conte was never big on buying all the world stars, he made his name mainly through developing good players into great ones. No one ever heard of Chiellini, Marchisio, Bonucci and Barzagli before Conte showed up at Juve and now they are household names and full internationals.
  18. I like his see a pass make a pass ability. when he passes it the receiver rarely has to break stride to get on it.
  19. As an option he is nice but he's still as second or third option.
  20. I was like 'okay she's given this some thought and its not bad....' until I saw that! I don't want anyone from that relegated lot of chumps.
  21. Even if he does its a nominal fee. Given what I've seen from him its a worthy investment, he could flop but if he comes anywhere near his form this season we're winning the title again.
  22. If you really think Conte is in charge of our transfer policy you haven't been paying attention
