lets assume the obvious is the case. We sign Candreva and Morata... Have you ever seen a Conte side play 4-2-3-1? By all accounts we're playing a two striker system and in no way is are interest in Morata a sign that Hazard will play in the secondary striker role. I appreciate your love of Candreva, I like him too but if all things are equal and we are interested in him to play a known Conte formation, I think its safe to say its Candreva and not Willian who will be coming off the bench. Candreva gives us more flexibility in shapes but as an out and out winger (4-4-2 or 4-2-2 or whatever) Willian offers more.

Why? And who said anything about rotting? He's an option off the bench much like Schurrle was when Jose arrived. Not a guy you play every game but given the situation he comes in.

Nah. Those fees are high because the money generated in the EPL is extremely high. 25m is now the marker of a decent squad guy, if you want a starter he's £35m and up

We need to get a few players in who understand how Conte wants to play from the get go, it will help accelerate the learning curve. I think he'll be utilized more as a squad guy than a featured XI player.

Ya I know, But flat means 4 CM's. I think he will play with two wingers similar to Utd with Fergie or even Barca a few years ago.

We don't even know what shape Conte wants to play. The thing I like about Candreva is he can play a variety of roles for the team, very good squad player. And he puts in a decent cross!

The bolded and underline part of this statement is compelling. Boufal wants to see what Chelsea will offer for his services? If the words of his agent haven't been translated poorly this could be interesting

I honestly think Kenedy will likely be vying for that left wing back role and not looked at as an out and out attacker.

But it would be dumb to make that choice off of one game. I'm just confused by the targets we've outlined. What exactly are we looking to play?
