Wow... I thought we had some knowledgable fans! I stand corrected. Why is it some here are moaning over a draw against our closest rival? Really, is that what you guys got out of the game? Have you never played before? First off in a game of this magnitude there was no way Jose was gonna entrust a youth team player to come in and have an impact. We had a bench consisting of Cahill, Drogba, Christensen, Ake, Loftus-Cheek, Cech and Brown! We played 120mins in the midweek! in what world is fatigue not going to be a factor versus a team with a veteran laden bench who didn't play midweek? I understand many here are younger and play a lot of video games where fatigue is rarely a factor but honestly, I'm embarrassed by some of the comments by so called Chelsea supporters who are complaining about tactics in a match of this magnitude when clearly the fellas we COMPLETELY knackered! We are 5pts clear with 15 games to go! We had to manage that game and not open ourselves up to getting beat. It was City that needed the result more so than we and they are the ones who should be bitching and complaining about not getting all three. They had the fresher squad and they had the deeper bench! They are the ones who are playing catch up and for them, this is a squandered opportunity! Fairplay to the lads! Thought if we'd gone into the half with a lead we would've saw it out, we made a small mistake and the Champions capitalized on it... It happens. Thought we showed great resolve not to go behind when it was clear we were a tired group! Anyone who moans and complains about not going for it gung-ho in the second half need to get their heads out of their asses. So embarrassing.

But he won us the league cup tie against Liverpool so cut him some slack.

Perfect time for him to come aboard, teams won't have a book on him and his trickery could expose defenses. Defenders will have a hard time playing against a tricky player who they've never seen before up close. Bonus.

I want all three points. I really don't think city are as good as people make them out to be, without Yaya they are a disjointed side. The big question is Didier or Remy? For me I can see either of them starting because the attributes they possess (drogba's aerial ability hold up play and Remy's speed and technical quality) will give city something to think about. I go with drogba because if the game is close and it likely will be, set pieces could be the difference. Also in respects to Remy we only really have him as a versatile attacking threat off the bench should we have an injury or need to switch it up.

I wouldn't be. We only have Champs league and the EPL to worry about, we can strengthen again in the summer.

Consistency extends beyond scoring and assisting. When have you ever seen schurrle or salah make a tackle? Or even contribute to keeping our shape?

He had a trick against Fulham and two against Sunderland. He couldn't even get into the squad before mid December. He was and is wildly inconsistent and that's why he's off.

What are you talking about? You're not going to get a goal scoring winger, and when I say goalscoring I mean around 15, who works hard tracking back and plays our style for under £30-35m. And yes we do have that luxury! Basically what's being done here is we are shuffling the decks to look for chemistry and fit. Schurrle hasn't worked and neither had salah. The move once its been determined they aren't working or aren't happy is to find players within their price range who fit our style and hope they blend with the team. What you're advocating is we spend more money in wages and fee and hope whoever comes in is better since we paid more. That's not gonna happen. Cuadrado is replacing schurrle not willian. He is being brought in to challenge willian.

Cuadrado COULD also quit football and take up basket weaving....

Torres didn't play at etihad. We'll be fine. Matic didn't play at the bridge last year either. City are a disjointed group without Yaya in the middle, Arsenal exposed that weakness using our blueprint.

Weird. I would've said Fabregas. Wasn't counting but I think Oscar won a lot of 50/50 balls and also put in a good amount of crucial tackles. Where he lacks for me is in ability to dribble past people. He had two yesterday which represents a good night for him.

The numbers say otherwise. Cahill leads the team in clearances per game and has one interception per game as well which ranks him 4th behind Matic, Azpi and Brana. He's not terrible, he's played well for us he's just not the guy you can depend on every game.
