Should've left it in.

Listening to the commentary its sounds like Zouma and Christensen played on the same side. Makes no sense, you're playing an inexperienced player out of position and you play him next to another inexperienced player.
-
I'm not elated we lost either, I'm just not the type to wallow in the mire. I'm not so sure our preferred XI need a wake up call anyway, should they lose to Liverpool at home then thats a different prospective.
-
Chelsea will now have free weekends before both legs against Paris in the Champions League. That is an incredible silver lining.
-
I get the sentiment but come on... Losing to Liverpool at home in a semi? ugly. I want the league this year too!
-
Thats a lot of goals.
-
They wanted it more. The question is why?
-
Its not funny but it happens. We have a strong XI and a not so strong squad... simple. No real depth.
-
Can't remember did we buy him?
-
Who is we? you joined here 4 days ago... quit trolling you cunt.
-
I haven't cared about the FA Cup since the last time we won it... Lol.
-
Well at least the kids got to play! Oh and Salah too!
-
Wack

BAMFORD!

ya you're right.

All you've done is prove my point by continually coming up with excuses to support your claim, that being there is no rule of thumb, for every salah there is a matic. Every individual is different from you seem to be doing the very rudimentary 'paint by numbers' routine. "So and so struggled so we shouldn't by anyone because he didn't adjust" The fact is the club is in a much different position now and players are given everything necessary to adapt and adjust. The fact that schurrle and salah didn't work out could be because they are unable to play the style we want of them. It's funny because instead of acknowledging that the players are playing at a higher level and previously and have failed, you say the reason they aren't performing is because they haven't adjusted... LOL. As if we're talking about former world class players. I said risk and reward is high because we are jeopardizing our chemistry in the hope that we find a better fit in the squad. And please stop analyzing the stats!! Good lord!! When Mata was here he had 18goals and 25assists the season before he left, it's all about how you fit into the team philosophy and right now schurrle and salah have failed to adapt. You may argue they need more time but our board and Jose think differently. I know nothing about the true quality of Cuadrado, neither do you since you only knew of him since the World Cup... But guess what we're not paid to know that, the club have a whole department dedicated to tracking players and analyzing their suitability with the club. I'm willing to bet good money they have an extensive dossier on cuadrado as do utd and Barca who have both expressed interest. If you go back a few pages you will see it was me would first said this purchase could be need rather than necessity. But that doesn't take from the fact the club have highlighted cuadrado as our replacement if that is indeed the case. Also keep in mind we don't have to sell if we don't want to.
-
1. So we're not supposed to buy players unless without a shadow of a doubt they are fantastic? How do you know until you see them with our set up? That is just silly. 2.how did matic adapt? Depends on the player it's not a reason not to buy 3. So did Suarez. You're looking at the information one sided. For every kezman there are 100s of players who worked out. 4. Apples and oranges no transfer comes without inherit risk. No one knew how costa would adjust to life in the prem. the club took a chance and it paid off, you know why? Because when you wait till players are "known quantities" their price tag doubles. You gamble, much like how we gambled that schurrle would come good here after having a paltry conversion rate of 9.1% or on salah who quietly burned us twice. If you don't like Cuadrado that's all fine and good but don't paint a picture like what the club is doing is completely out of the ordinary and carries too much risk. The risk vs reward is high since salah and schurrle haven't been anywhere near consistent enough for this club. If cuadrado comes in with willians work ethic and better finishing in the final 3rd we win big.
-
You have no way of knowing what the club's intentions are. What we do know is that we have to sell before we buy so naturally we hear about the offers coming in first before we hear of player purchases. We have no way of knowing how good he can be in our set up. We have a need because neither schurrle or salah have provided us with that in injection on the right. The club will have identified cuadrado as a replacement, not me, so clearly they think he is an upgrade. I don't know much about him as a player to make a fair assessment maybe you do. 27m for a high quality bench player isn't bad. You make schurrle sound like he's a world beater. There are tons of players that are in his bracket of players, and it's a fact that if teams have other targets available at a number that our bargaining position is weakened, doesn't matter how much you think he's highly rated in Germany, if we price him out of the market value teams will look at secondary targets. Nobody said anything about world class. The words I used were HIGH QUALITY squad players.
-
I never said anything about him being first choice either, it's clear it's willian. What I did say is schurrle hasn't really been all that effective when he's been in the team. We've already had a need for him and he's failed to deliver on numerous occasions. I like him as a person but he's been relatively poor as a player. We have no way of knowing whether or not cuadrado will be the answer, what we do know is schurrle and salah have made the club think we need to fill a void on the right flank. Reus could come and we'd still have no way of knowing whether or not he will fit in. The stance you seem to be taking is 'we know what we have in these two and regardless of whether or not they are working, they are known quantities.' I don't subscribe to that, we are trying to improve and with that there is always risk. What I'm saying is when you deal from a position of strength you stand to get more in return. If we wait till the summer out bargaining power weakens because teams have more players to choose from. The market is in our favour as a seller now. Bottom line is the best teams in the world have high quality subs on their bench, that is what we are aspiring to.
-
I'm not so sure I agree with this portion. Andre hasn't proven he is consistent enough to play for Chelsea, either this year or last year. We are going into the most important stretch of games of the season and we only have a slightly less inconsistent willian to depend on. Everybody knows we will reach a stretch of games were squad rotation is paramount and currently we don't really have someone we can trust on the right or left for that matter. Also, keep in mind that if we wait until the summer the market for our assets goes down as well. Who is really gonna pay top dollar for two players who barely played in the summer? To compete with the best you need exceptional squad depth. Look no further than real and Bayern for examples of that.
-
Jose doing what any smart, good manager would do. They are his players till they aren't his players. If a deal gets scuppered we are stuck with players the manager wrote off in the media, not ideal. Jose taking it one step at a time.
-
No need

Either Jose is trying to rile up the home crowd(it worked last time) or he is really trying to do some patch work for the England job... Either way its getting annoying, just fucking train the team and shut the fuck up. I love Jose but he needs to start supporting those who support him.
