We have Oscar, Willian, Cuadrado, Hazard, Ramires and Remy. I doubt we look to bring in anyone else till the summer at this point, we don't have a lot of competitions to play in and when we did Schurrle and Salah rarely played.
nah. he didn't really have much to do. Whatever came his way he dealt with but Whoscored is about stats and he didn't have a lot to do mainly because Matic was a freak yesterday.
I'm not so sure. We don't have too many competitions to worry about, we're out of the FA Cup and there's only one game left in the League Cup. We have Willian, Hazard, Oscar, Cuadrado, Remy(who can play wide if needed) and Ramires.
That would be devastating going forward but less dynamic defensively. Wouldn't mind seeing that if we're chasing the game I doubt we'll see it from the start because Jose loves Brana's set piece threat and also his toughness.
Who would you rather have? The second half of this game came down to the fact we had no bench! Why is that so hard for you to comprehend?!!?! So frustrating.
You guys need to give more credit to the opposition. Too many times I come here and read about how shitty teams are and why we should be battering them. They have ambitions and objectives too! Its not a bunch of pylons we're up against. That is such a ridiculous statement, one chance is one too many.
Not just another squad, A BETTER SQUAD WHO WERE WELL RESTED! Instead of picking on individuals who weren't at their best I prefer to commend a weakened team for fighting and showing their resolve.
We also time wasted. Drogba knocked the ball away pretty far on a throw-in. I was at the bar with supporters and many of them moaned about fouls that to me looked like good tackles... There were a few instances where I thought he made the wrong call but considering what we've been subjected to since Christmas, I'd say it was a well officiated game. I saw a close up angle on the touch line, it was extremely close! despite that we had chances to keep possession or clear it and didn't. Matic could've hoofed it and in my opinion Courtois was late coming off his line to claim it. Very unlike him.
the angle I saw it from it looked like it was kept in play by a hair. Probably the toughest decision of the match... Clattenburg had a decent game if I'm being completely honest.
I don't think the way we played in the second half is a consequence of the manager, it comes down to not having any real way to inject pace to change the game. If you are gonna place blame on the manager it would come in the first leg against Liverpool where we sat deep and never threatened in the second half(we couldn't connect any passes) that result forced us into having to play a crucial game on Tuesday. The guys were tired today anyone who has watched more than 5 football matches could see that.
