Go back and read what I was asking about. The names you listed are laughable, I'm just gonna assume you didn't read the posts previous.

Agree with this. He needs to be better on the counter.

Who else?

based on what? We already know Oscar works ten times harder than Coutinho on the pitch now lets see what the stats show... No contest. OSCAR Mins - 1588 G - 6 A - 7 tackles - 2.2 key passes - 1.5 pass % - 83.3 shots/game - 3 dribbles - 0.8 COUTINHO Mins - 1541 G - 2 A - 4 tackles - 1.7 key passes - 1.4 pass % - 80.9 shots/game - 2.4 dribbles - 2.9 So essentially the only stat where Coutinho has been better is as a dribbler which Oscar has never been. I feel a lot of you here suffer from the grass-is-always-greener syndrome.

Kind of what I expected and also the type of situations I expect to see him in more often than not. He is our impact sub, he will come in and offer a change of pace... I like it.
-
Not saying he's been fantastic, but if you can find me another no.10 who can win tackles, interceptions, mark a deep lying playmaker out of the game, score and assist and be a threat to score from set pieces please tell me who he is!
-
I thought we were to some extent disciples of Jose Mourinho? Football is played at both ends of the pitch.... Against Newcastle Oscar played 78mins had a goal and an assist. He also had 3 tackles, 1 interception and 4 clearances. Against Swansea he played 90mins had 2 goals no tackles or interceptions(probably didn't need any with the way Swansea played that day) He didn't play against Liverpool away... He then goes on a run of games where he plays 90mins against Bradford, 120mins vs Liverpool(5 tackles, 93 touches), 91mins against City(4 tackles despite being woeful), so in the span of 8 days Oscar has played 300mins of football and has ran the entire way not taking plays off or complaining about fatigue. I haven't been able to look up the distance he's covered but if someone wants to look that up it would be well appreciated because I KNOW he covered tonnes of ground. This is very unusual for a no.10, you will not find another player replicate this fellas workrate in that position and still contribute 6 goals and 7 assists, IT IS PHYSICALLY DEMANDING! I'm not saying he's been fantastic, he has room for improvement but the amount of flack this guy gets its unreal! This is a guy who makes it possible for others on the pitch to play their football because he works so tirelessly. He also is very difficult to play against because he never lets up. This is what Jose wants from his no.10, he's not looking for someone who makes incredible passes that split open teams and dribbles past 6 players to set up the striker for a goal, no, Oscar is our facilitator! He is the cog in the engine. When you ask players to chase people up and down the field, win tackles and be a nuisance AND at the same time create scoring chances and score goals while playing 300 mins in 8 days he's going to start to break down... Its just a fact of life. If you guys actually think Isco, Eriksen or LOL Coutinho can actually perform the role Oscar has in this team you are joking yourselves... When those guys play the 10 their assignment is very different to that of Oscar's.

WOW...

Modric was good for them last year for sure but were there playing that beautiful free flowing attacking style? I don't think so. a lot of the goals we've seen them score aren't of the beautiful football variety if you ask me. Some of the goals we've scored this year have been very intricate and skillful, I don't think Real have scored anywhere near as many beautiful goals and we have this year. I could be wrong but I doubt it. They are a team of individuals who were seconds away from winning nothing last year.
-
I'm not a believer. I think they have a great squad of fantastic players but who makes them tick? Who sets their tempo? who dictates their play? I think Atletico have the blueprint on how to play them and there are a few teams in Europe capable of playing that style and beating them. Great squad with a bunch of match winners but not exactly the most beautiful attacking side out there... I think when you have a team full of stars you dim the light of some. I don't think that Hazard's mentality is to be combative against players with egos and desires to be the best. He doesn't strike me General, he strikes me as a Lieutenant. If someone comes along with a bigger personality on the pitch he will allow them to be the alpha I'm not just saying this because he's a Chelsea player but the best situation for Hazard is here with Jose who is a General and is that big ego maniac who players fall under and follow. I think its best for Eden to have a off field general type than it is for him to have an on field general... At least for him to reach his full potential.
-
I encourage you to watch a few Real games if you think their overall quality is much higher. You go there because you want more celebrity, they are still the biggest team in the world but their football isn't as brilliant as some would have you believe. Also, I think Eden in Eden's head what he wants most is to be a winner. If he wins with Chelsea he's the brightest star in the galaxy, if he goes to Real he's a bolt in a machine.
-
He's 21. He's already one of the best box to box midfielders in the world. His skill level on the pitch has matured faster than his footballing brain but that doesn't impede him from being a beast on the pitch.
-
The beauty is we control our own destiny with room for error. Loads of work to be done before we're crowned champs though.
-
I'm not so sure. Paul may want to play in England again who knows what motivates a player. Maybe playing for Jose? Some other French teammates? I think Chelsea have as good a shot as any team if I'm honest. No one thought we'd get Hazard and we did...
-
If we buy another midfielder I want it to be an adaptable one. Someone capable of fitting into a variety of shapes... Koke sort fits that but not more than Paul Pogba for me. He's exactly who we should buy.
-
Still Praying!
-
When have you ever seen KDB win 5 tackles 3 interceptions and score a goal?
-
NEXT 3 GAMES FOR CHELSEA Everton - H Burnley - H Leicester - A NEXT 3 GAMES FOR MAN CITY Stoke - A Newcastle - H Liverpool - A That gap could be double digits in two weeks time. I know one game at a time but its hard not to look ahead here.
-
Oscar was woeful going forward today, he's played a hell of a lot of football the past couple weeks. Having said that he still works hard for the team... Still waiting for the day Chelsea supporters start to understand that its not about the players skill level, its about how they fit into our system! DeBruyne was always a good player about to get better, he didn't work well within our team. Good to see he's doing well though.
-
Dyer performance, Fantastic result!!! Definitely missing Fabregas...
-
Thank you captain obvious. I think I said as much about Reus in my post... On Pogba go to his thread if you wanna see who thinks he's overrated.
-
People say Pogba is overrated. I think Reus is overrated... Good player but if his transfer fee wasn't what it is, I doubt he would garner the amount of attention he has. He's a good player in a good situation for clubs not a world beater.
-
I know this is about Reus but Dortmund have become a terrible team... I really hope Utd buy Hummels for the 40m that's being bandied about, he is nowhere near as good as that price tag suggests. If Chelsea were smart they'd forget Reus and buy Aubameyang.
