My very first choices would be Martinez or Witsel if you checked my older posts. As I mentioned there we would have more balance between attack and defence. Martinez is great destructor with good passing and lot of energy. Witsel is bit more ofensive but would go well in partnership with Mikel. But Martinez is almost gone now, so I mentioned Modric. And just for comparing spurs and us, their back four and goalkeeper are far from as good as our defence. Also Utd are looking for player like Modric and he would sure play in double pivot role there. Ivan-Terry-Luiz-Cole Martinez-Mikel Moses-Modric-Mata/Hazard Falcao would be best, however there is no slightest chance for us getting such strong team. Oscar, Hazard would then sure never joined club if we went for this players. And more Im thinking about how strong our midfield and attack are, Im not so sure if this will have positive result in Premier league. We are not in spain after all to have only quick light dribbling players like Mata, Hazard and Oscar.

Yes, but Arsenal knows Barca has tons of money. They lured Cesc last year. Arsenal has no financial issues and they didnt need to sell top player for low money. Song had long contract at Arsenal as well and they sold Rvp few days earlier. All that info brings to a conclusion that Arsenal board had no need to sell their top player and even they would, bid should be realy big. Similar to release clauses by some teams for their best players like Hulk, Llorente,...And yet Arsenal sold him for 18mio. Song was by today standards worth at least 35mio. With Rvp, he was 29 and only year left, they wanted some money to earn for him and turning down 25mio offer is not easy. Cesc was Barca boy and thats only reason he left. Nasri had only one year left too. And Song? He was happy with club, several years on contract and wasnt old either. Arsenal dont need money, they dont spend much ever. And to sell such player for a low fee like that was pure madness. Now they are looking after Mvila who will cost more and is less good player. That makes no logic. Arsenal become selling club for few years now, Henry, Adebayor, Rvp, Cesc, Nasri, Clichy, Song,...list goes on. We couls sell Drogba or Lamps few years ago and earn some money for them, but instead we kept them, won trophies but got no money for them. And Im damn happy for such reasonable policy, our club has. Arsenal will never win trophy, trust me, they cant keep their players and everyone knows they will sell for decent price nowdays. Next year it will be Vermaelen and then Scezsny and then Frimpong or someone. Why? Because there is no loyalty. And why that? Because they have mostly foreign players. Chamberlain or Wilshere will probably never leave unless some serious bid will come for like 40mio plus. And I worry eventualy Oscar, Hazard etc will try to move to spain from here. Unless they fall in love with this club like Drogba or Cech... The arsenal board keep moaning they have to pay for Stadium, but I think that was done years ago. Owners have lot of money and as usual Arsenal dont spend for new players, they dont need to sell. I guess once those greedy fuckers will have enough they will just left the club...Porto is another example how to get young talent and sell him for big money, but they actualy sell for big and still dont have such goals like Arsenal to acomplish. At current policy Arsenal wont win the league or CL for another 10years and that is why Wenger is still coach; he thinks buying cheap talent, turning them world class and then selling them is great, but he is deeply wrong. Im glad Roman is one big charity guy when comes to spending for our club. Just imagine selling Terry, Lamps or Drogba when they were at best, well Im happy there was never a worry these players might leave us.

Looks very promising, for a tall guy he has nice dribbling and passing skills, also heading wont be too big problem for him, but his finishing is dreadfull right now. I'm sure he will improve that, afterall every striker becomes top with experience. There is almost no talent, but endless shooting and in few years, you develop that feeling how to shoot. I doubt this guy will be truly deadly before his 24 bday, but then he could turn like Drogba. Also I hope he will be striker with 30+ goals several seasons, not just one great and then average. Promising, what is better than scoring against Lpool
-
Its pretty clear that most perfect double pivot pair would include powerfull, endless stamina and speed Defensive mid with good passing (Yaya toure or Song) and very creative experienced deep-lying playmaker with lot of energy aswell (Modric, Moutinho). We have Mikel who is good and has lot of energy, passing and defensive skills, but lacks of speed. The other spot is either Lampard (not quick anymore), Rambo (technicaly not good enough) or Oscar (unexperienced and not proven). Mikel-Modric would be great, but I doubt he will come anyway...
-
Rumours that Mourinho has canceled all talks with Spurs for Modric, because Levy is too greedy and is trolling too much, demands extreme fees... Maybe we can get him, but only if we pay 45mio for him. What do you think?
-
I actualy feel sorry for them, despite they are our rivals. I consider these clubs as our rivals only when we play with them, but overall there is nothing realy bad with these clubs. NOT that I support them, just have no hard feelings toward them. And such shit board Arsenal has, I would be pissed with them if I would be their supporter. RVP was logic, as only one more year on contract, but selling Song for 18mio EUR is realy worst bussines from them in last few years. They wont win trophy for another 10 years and why on earth it had to be Barca who bought Song for such ridiculous price. They done great job there, no doubt but considering Song was best at DM position and Barca has Sergio and Cesc who can play there, he made one big mistake joining them. He might win trophies, but will he be important at that? No way, there are 15 players better than him in the squad of Barca, while he was best Arsenal player now since RVP left. Cant believe what is becoming of Arsenal. My prediction; MC, MU and Chelsea on top three, Newcastle fourth, Spurs fifth, Arsenal sixth,...

I was realy hoping we get Azpi and Moses before the wigan game. I hope Moses puts great performance, we give those 12mio and deal is done.
-
Well we have plenty inteligent players and now some hard worker would suit us. Such players dont give shit what kind of game they play, the critics and they handle pressure much easier. Toure, Ibra,...all play every game at top level because they handle pressure well. They might not be some fancy boys like Hazard or Mata but their consistency is 99% every game. If Moses can do that he would be best buy for me this summer. The next thing is buying experienced player in range of 24/27 yrs to comand and power the midfield. No striker is realy necessary unless Roman finds some extra money under pilow after Rb, Rw and Cm. And sure Benayoun, Malouda and Meireles should leave.
-
Some clubs do it best with several strikers, some do it best with one main and a good reserve. We had Drogba and Anelka as backup back in days, now we have Torres and Danny backup. If you dont trust Torres just half a season to play him only, thinking of getting third striker, we should sell Nino year ago. This is his chance. He is alone and NEEDS to prove. He will have half season to get back on top again, if he fails we sell him, if he does it, we will have world class striker in him. In case we buy another striker now, Im sure Torres will never ever be good at chelsea. I dont give shit what those Manchestershits have, we have Torres and Danny and thats it! Give him this last half year a chance to prove and then we either sell him and buy new striker or keep him. Right now, we have about 50mio left to spend and we need Rb, Rw and Cm. Azpi, Moses and someone like Yaya Toure or Witsel. Modric would be good too, but he is just not comming.
-
I actualy like Moses as he would come 'cheap' and he is not star YET. Im sure he will try hard to get in first eleven, specialy because we lack of good winger on right and will be good chance for him. He has lot of energy, but do people who know him better, see him as hard worker? Like Valencia? Someone who is not overrated and always does his best, when all the flair and fancy passing isnt enough. Someone who can push the team forward in hard conditions. If Moses is that, then Im all for to buy him. Yes, Reus isnt classic striker, therefore he does best as supporting striker, scored lot of goals last season, but not suitable for us, unless we would play him on the wing. IF we would get him few months ago...What about Ayew, Damiao or Loic Remy as third striker? Sure we need Azpi, explosive winger and powerfull CM to compete with Mc and Mu. And stop hoping for Modric, he wont come mostly because he is owned by spurs at the moment, our big rival.
-
I agree with all you said, but the player you are talking about cant be Schurle, he isnt that good. And not for the price. Reus would be such player, or in our case Jovetic.
-
Getting Modric in double pivot along Mikel would be good, but that means Lamps and Oscar would have limited chances to play. And spending so much on player (40mio), but then Im not sure how we will get another 20mio for Moses and Azpi. There are Moutinho and Witsel who are at least 10mio cheaper. And just to say Modric will come as super star and now we need some casual hard working players like Valencia,...players that will try to play well for club, not just money and trophies (main reason Hazard, Hulk or Modric would came is money and trophies to be honest).
-
Tell me one positive thing we would have by buying Schurle for 20mio?
-
Board already said Torres will be our main striker. Getting top class stiker will put Torres on bench, while getting backup striker will limit Sturridge chances. That means we wont be buying striker, at least not until winter. Im sure that Torres can do well, we might dont look like team with good attack, compared to City or Utd, but if we buy good winger, powerful pivot, rb and once Oscar comes and our team catches right chemistry, we will look much better. Rvp needs to be star man to actualy shine, the player everyone passes to him and is centre o attention to play well. He shown that last season with arsenal, once Nasri and Cesc left. Before he was third player and was more average. Same with Netherlands team. Along Sneijder and Robben, he just wasnt good. And at Utd, Im sure Rooney will be their star man. Im just shaking because they will sure buy good Mf, either Modric, Moutinho, Sahin or Sneijder. That means we need to buy three more players; CM, RB and RW. Striker is not needed, sure we wont paying 30mio for Cavani or someone, while we will pay that in winter if Torree fails. Anyway there are still few PL games ti see how well Torres will do before market closes.
-
Any news about when he will sign for us?
-
Utd will buy him in the end...fuck! While we need someone with lot of energy in mf and on the wing.
-
I have feeling Rvp to ManU wasnt best deal. Robin is 29, has lot to prove now and had terrible run on WC. Baines or CM is what they are looking and Im pretty sure its the second. While I hope we make deals for Azpi (8mio) Moses (10mio) or Ayew/then Hazard moves to right (10mio), Witsel (22mio). Makes around 40mio. Sure striker would be great, but I dont think there will be money. But that striker should be very good. Then sell Meireles, Benayoun and Malouda.
-
I prefer Hulk over Moses, but right now we need hard workers with lots of energy and team work. Hulk will try too much flair and those tricks, be a star. While Moses will have to play hard and well in way to earn starting place. More motivation. Also Hulk is realy too expensive however we need more than two players...
-
Interesting. Ocampos to Monaco for 11mio, Gaston to S'hampton for 15, Gladbach bought few good players like Luuk de Jong, Dominguez from At.Madrid,...nice to see such moves, but I realy thought Gaston will move elsewhere. It will be good for his evolving, but definately if he will impress, someone will buy him for 30mio next summer for sure. And he will gain much needed experience and play time in Prem. My second faw club from England is sure Newcastle as they are not our rivals and make great deals; like Anita yesterday. Looking forward to see who else they buy and Im pretty sure they will finish ahead of Arsenal, Lpool and Spurs if they keep all players, considering Spurs will lose Modric, Arsenal Rvp and Maybe Song and Lpool...well they are just not there yet.
-
As much I love this guy, I would prefer getting Moses, Witsel and Azpi for that price much more.
-
I think we dont need Mvila realy. He is similar to Mikel. What we would need is Yaya, Song or Witsel; they pass much better, run more and also give more energy and play very consistent all time. Mikel and Mvila only make good short passes and defend well, thats all. With Mikel, we dont need Mvila, if Essien will come back, we dont need anyone...
-
Lol! Not going to happen. And beside, Sahin will only go on loan this summer, not permament switch. Im sure Arsenal will get Sahin for this year, though...
-
If there is a club with shit negotiators, is Arsenal. Cesc for 28 was fucking odd. Barca raped them for 20mio at today prices. And i heard they will go after Song for 18mio. Are Arsenal realy that dumb or barca plays low with their players keep putting more and more pressure on transfers, forcing clubs to actualy sell for less money...
-
YAY BERTRAND What a pace, lovely replacement for Ashley. Truly.
-
Well Mikel was one of best in CL final and second part of season. Agree Lamps is no more suitable to be in double pivot with this more attacking style. Someone with tons of energy along Oscar. Essien was that once, but Mikel is very slow. We need someone like Yaya Toure or Alex Song. Possibly just stick to Mikel-Oscar once kid arrives from olympics.
