I 'worry' what his clause might be like. It could happen that in the end, he would be starter, a very good one, and then we would return to barca... He seems like very good ball passer and strong player, last season (first half) he was amongst best dms in the league by stats. I understand he got less play time, but why he didnt play a bit is more curious.

Witsel looked like great guy, but the decision to go in Zenit was his own too. Damn. Fuck you Zenit, why him?! He looked like perfect player to join along Mikel at some point in near future here. Belgium lost great prospect. Dont get me wrong, he can be very good, but not world class; at least not in russian league. If we planed to sell Meireles and Essien before 31.aug, we should spent those 30mio on this guy, no doubt.

Porto is biggest money making machine in the world of football. I doubt they spent 50mio in past ten years for their best players, and probably sold them for 250mio+

What a terrible decision to go. Zenit is rising club, like Psg, but its just not comparable to spain, england, italy, germany, france or even portugal clubs. Big loss for Porto too.

Deserved rest for him, but as far I know Rdm, he will play him in first next game we play. Anyone knows if this kind of 'burn out' is taking just few (2 or 3) seasons or will Mata always have problems with that?

If we had bought new CM, i would understand this, but in the position we are now at cm, this would be ridiculous. Its not possible to get a midfielder from turkish league now, right? we can only sell, but not buy. Selling him would be just shit. He was better than Lamps realy. But i would love to see Romeu play games regulary like under Avb. Or he will go to barca. Keep meireles until winter, then sell him to turkey if you must, but bring someone new in too

Well IF we get CM (Witsel,...) then Oscar will play more ofensively (cam, lm, rm), while Romeu would be getting bit parts and then if he play good, starts ahead of Mikel eventualy.

We have quantity in midfield, but not quality. Lamps is getting old, Romeu needs experience, Oscar needs experience, Meireles is only squad player, Mikel should be starter, but is inconsistent. So...we definately need new player at CM in january or next summer. Defence is great, but too slow to fit how we play now. With Azpi eventualy we will be good on fullbacks, but I guess we will have to buy another fast and calm cb or change defensive tactics. No problems at wingers Striking department is decent, but a team that plays offensive football like we want to, needs world class forward in form.

As long as our team will not gel together and have motivation, no striker in world will be good enough to lead the line. There are quality players behind Torres, but not world class. You cant expect from Mata and Hazard to be same like Iniesta and Xavi or Ozil and pass all the way to Torres who will then score from goal line. Also we play in england and our style against defensive teams with fast counters is defeat before game started. Why? Because two things: our defence is so slow that cant return back in time (barca has much faster players to compare). Second; Torres is getting very slow, on our counters he is nowhere, even Iva gets faster to other side. And its not just problem with Torres speed, but also Awarness, Positioning, instinct. He lacks all that. We dont have bad team, but formation and their positioning is realy bad.

Anyone knows what is City going to do with John Guidetti? He wont play much why didnt they loaned him out? He looks great player.

We have much better players and Torres should get his service anyway. But our whole team lacked of MOTIVATION yesterday in a big match, where motivation shouldnt be missing, WELL THAT IS A BIG FUCKING PROBLMEM. Not who we still need, but first we have to fix our own players first.

We also bought hulk two months ago. As long its not official, its BS. After all there are 4 months before january and anything can happen. Plain rubbish so far about this deal with Falcao, if it would be true, it would be announced already, similar like Lucas who will go to psg in january. But if this is however true, well then good thing. but I recomend you to not be too excited. We will sure bring striker in winter if Torres fails...In january, it could be anyone...

i realy think we missed on him, he is in his absolute prime and top form right now, then he will be older and more expensive next summer. Im realy dissapointed he (and Atletico) wont play in CL this year.

Its very important that we good all those players, but personaly I would traade Oscar for Witsel one month ago. But he is now blue, so... Anyway next year, i hope we get CB (with good defensive abilities), CM/DM and striker. Thats all. And they all should be class players, ready for first team. :ninja:

well they could be hidding transfer for tomorrow, but thats as possible as we willl anounce signing of Falcao in next hours (means: almosf impossible).

Yeah, Arsenal is royaly screwed now. No cm, cb, or anything else. But i feel Ox and Vermaelen will have good season. Lpool at least have Sahin.

Actualy I meant this summer, which passed few hours ago. There is still quite chance we will go after him in winter, but if he will play so well, im sure barca, real, city will all look after him and that will raise price on 60mio for sure. We should buy him right after his hattrick vs Bilbao; we would have him for 50mio and wouldnt play against him yesterday. Oh well

Rdm is mostly guilty for this defeat, not picking Azpi and Moses and using Rambo and Mata was realy bad. He keeps playing with same players, which is wrong. Im pretty sure Mata wont get rest anyday after this defeat and Rdm will want to win next games to ease the pressure...

The point of transition means that sometimes you play good and then sometimes bad. We have 5 new players in squad and we are playing new system. In past years, we had strong team, great defence and counters, playing on long balls and Drogba. Things changed, but people like Iva or Lamps are still playing old way. Im realy sure in few years we will gel togehter, pick right formation and startin 11. Similar to how long City needed to become stable, yet their weakest part is still defence. This season will show where we are still weak and in few seasons we will have strong team. Its new project we are making, with very fancy football, but my personal opinion is that previous style was much better for our club. We had great defence and players who can score on counters, now any team can beat us because of the fancy football we play. You cant become barca, thats in genes and specialy not in England. To play this style of attacking football, you need top striker, 10! fast players and great powerful midfield. At least one Cb, CM and Striker will solve that. Then we can go fancy football. With whole new system of playing, there wont be just new players to adapt, but also old. Dont expect anything big this season. We dreamed, but Atletico woken us finaly. We have Mata who is very tired, Hazard who might be unconsistent first season, Torres who cant do anything on his own, selfish Danny, old Lampard, Defence slow and clumsy as fuck, unxperienced Moses and Azpi and Oscar, no CM backup. That is worst reality. But Im still excited about how we will play, United has some big problems too, but Rvp will saving them, City will probably win, we will be third if lucky. In CL, maybe first in group, and keep playing until we meet RM, Barca, City, Bayern that will sure put us out. Agree, but still, this will be season of transition and dont expect anything big. My favourite trophy would be Club world cup. Thats all. Mostly because you need to be CL champion to play there. We thought we are best and after defeat tonight, we are on real ground. And people were so underrating Juve, I said for both matches against Atletico and Juve they will be tough, yet some were thinking we are actualy gonna win 5:0. Face the reality, last year we were lucky and won CL. The fact we are CL winners means little, in matches of TOMORROW. Sadly, but we are no barca or real to keep being on top for years, atleast not yet. I only regret selling Essien, but keeping Malouda. The only reason Im still into Torres is because there WAS some harmony in the squad. Obviously tonight, there was absolutely no team work and no ''selfish'' players to try on their own. Striker is usualy player that pushes his team forward. Torres will never do it here. If Mata or Hazard play shit, he plays shit too.
