He will never leave Barca, at least as long as he plays regulary. Besides we have Romeu who could become fantastic in few years. And if we buy another DM, it should be very pacey, we lack speed in midfield in Mikel, Oscar or Lamps (I didnt count Rambo, due to his poor technical skill required for regular CM along someone like Mikel)
-
But Falcao is three yrs younger, by age of 28/29 he could be even better. Both are fantastic strikers, but I would say Falcao is more on fire right now.
-
Seems decent young player, but I realy like Romulo more as a player that fits our team. Romulo and Romeu would be fantastic in few years.
-
but more expensive too...
-
Well there is big difference between this two; while Falcao is playing football, Torres is only trying to. Nino is not a dangerous striker anyomore, his confidence gone. He might be the best striker 3 years ago, but now, he just isnt it. His fitness lack and mental problems are too big for him.
-
Come on, Oscar is fantastic talent, but not near Iniesta, Ozil, Xavi who I place as world class. I dont know how you rate world class players, but Oscar is not on Iniesta level, yet. Hazard looks realy promising, but the big games will come and lets see how he and the rest play then. We cant place our opponent out of game by passing like barca does. Maybe few times, but not on regular basis like catalans.
-
Some players never hit rock bottom. They do well, get better, play on top form as long their body strenghts allow that and then retire. Torres was done at age of 27, when he joined us or even half year before.
-
Dont really need to. Just watch their behaviour.
-
People saying Falcao is similar to Torres and wont suceed here blah blah blah...When Torres came, he wasnt in top form, not even close to. Falcao is at his top form and full confidence that was damaged in Torres when he came. Plus Falcao is different Animal than Torres. While Torres is more a diva, Falcao is much stronger mentaly. And I like Torres, specialy when he was realy top striker, but he is just not a good player anymore. However, Falcao is actualy a player who can score from anywhere, can dribble, but he needs full support and his team must play on counter attacks more, where he gets more space to free run and easy to score. I dont know how he would handle defensive teams with lot of pressure and isolation. In that case, Cavani would be better choice as he is playing very offensively at Napoli and is even stronger than Falcao.

Can Chelsea play with a false #9 like Barcelona?
BlueLyon replied to BOSS's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I dont get this hype over such style of football. The main point is that Barca is spanish club, chelsea is english. We should stick to stronger, still atractive style, but not some fancy one, with all the diving, endless passing,...Our football style should be more direct and fast. If we try to be fancy, we will turn into arsenal. They thought they can be spanish club in english league and failed everywhere. We have Lukaku and Danny as our strikers. With false nine system, they are basicaly useless in terms of importance in the first team. Besides having Romeu, Rambo and Oscar in midfield is bad aswell. Rambo cant pass well, Romeu is not fast enough and Oscar is more attacking player. They just dont match. I would love to have Romulo here from Spartak. Good runner, stamina, speed, passing, marking. Great talent in making. Romulo-Romeu would be great. Add a world class striker to that and good, faster and younger Cb as backup (Papadopolus) and we have one great team. Forget the false nine, we will never play it. -
Corinthians will represent South America right?
-
Either of Cavani, Jovetic or Falcao.
-
Falcao might go because Atletico will need money. Papadopoulos and Romulo would be good, not realy expensive and very energetic and talented players. Sure the biggest problem is their inexperience, specialy Romulo. I mentioned Hummels because he is fantastic, Barca is very interested in him too. And Vidal would be hard to get, but he might go for big price and if Juve has bad season. He is truly a fighter and runner, something we lack big in midfield.
-
ST; Falcao/Cavani CM: Vidal/Romulo CB: Papadoupolos/Hummels/Mbiwa If we get this three players, we should be good for next 6 years.
-
Not in form player, but somehow I see Milan going for him. He is not expensive and Milan needs young midfielder.
-
In Euro, Ramos was the best defender there. This season, he made poor start, but he will go back in form. Currently, he is best Spanish defender, Puyol is too old, while Pique (who is rated as one of best cbs) does some shit mistakes too. Pepe realy improved this year, he is not so agressive anyomore and his timing is great, so its hard to say Ramos is not great, juat because Pepe is even better. And for City, Ramos didnt played because he needed some rest and was bit punished for bad performance vs Sevilla. Im not sure where you people live, but saying he is as good as Luiz is just wrong. They have same style, but efficiency and tactical awarness of Ramos is much better than Luiz. Every defender makes mistakes sometimes, you cant blame them they are bad if they made mistake. And what considers top 5 best cbs; Ramos, Pepe, Pique, Silva, Kompany at this moment (not in order).

We should win after 2 goal lead, but overall performance wasnt that good. Too much unconsistent play and unbalanced. Sometimes we attacked great, then nothing for 20min and then again attack. Mikel did some terrible passes, he should concentrate more on his passing. Torres running in second half off the ball was shit aswell. Oscar, Hazard, Mata, Terry, Cole, Bertrand, Ivan, Mata get plus, Rambo, Torres, Luiz, Mikel get minus. Lamps was too static and Cech is pissing me off for all the long ball-passes. Juve deserved a draw, we will have to be more energetic all 90mins in next months. Midfield is lacking some power/stamina/pace and attack with Torres is too un-prolific. Get new striker in winter. If 3/4 of players would run and fight for the ball as much as did Hazard, we would be much better, but unfortunely Lamps, Mikel were far too slow and one of them will have to go on bench. Maybe Mikel will then do better with someone faster alongside him (someone who will also saving Mikel's ass when needed). Draw is fair, but the feeling when you lead 2:0 and then get only one point is...well you know...
-
Fuck off!
-
I havent seen such great passing from Chelsea since...well I cant remember, its so long time ago...
-
Bit off-topic, but Romulo scored for Spartak vs Barca, taking the lead 1:2 on Camp nouu. This kid is also fantastic prospect, reminds me on young Yaya Toure a bit.
-
Great goal, Vidal too.
-
WHOAAAAAA OMFG :D What a beautiful goal with PERFECT volley. OSCAR!
-
OSCAR!!!!
-
I would love to have Arturo Vidal here in January. Probably cheaper than Witsel, but better defensively.
-
You cant complicate simple shot more than this...LOL Rambo
