So, which players from our youth academy have most chances to suceed in our team (or if we sell them, elsewhere)? Only players from our youth team count. That means no Oscar, Kdb, Hazard, Moses, Azpi,... Personaly, I put my hopes on Feruz, Chalobah, Josh and Piazon. Kalas, Ake perhaps and maybe Wallace (he counts as he was just 18 when he arrived). The point is that we need to give them play time and right now, Feruz (striker) does not have some big competition and could get a chance sooner than later. I realy hope he becomes our next big thing along with Chalobah and Josh. (Makes mw think of Terry, Lamps and Drogba )

sell Torres and GET THIS MOTHERFUCKER!!!! (in summer offcourse)
-
If he can do a 'Taarabt' with end product, I take it. He is good dribbler, but has not best finishing and ending actions. Lot of dribbling but no end product. I think he would be good for squad role and maybe turn great, BUT if he wont I realy dont know what will we do with him. He will probably play less big but still important games and if he will be frustrating and with no end product, I dont see sucess in that. If he turns in Valencia of Utd, he will be very very useful. As I watched only game or two of him (when he played in EL) Im not the judge and will give him chance to prove. The only downside I see is that signing such player will limit Feruz, Piazon chances... Why not give Feruz a run and see how he does? Hes young but without trying, believe and patience, we will never create a big player from our youth school.

I realy hope we get Benat in january and maybe a striker (David Villa on loan?) who offers something different. A winger like Zaha would be nice too, as he isnt expensive, but homegrown and we need such players. In summer we should buy Cavani who would be our 1st choice, Fellaini who would offer power and versatility in midfield, Micah Richards to add some defensive options and if Cole leaves a good LB (Baines, Coentrao, Nacho or Filipe Luis). Sell Malouda and Torres in summer then. Team: GK: Cech, Turnbull, Courtois? RB: Iva, Azpi, Richards, Wallace? LB: Cole?, Bertrand, Richards, Baines/Coentrao? CB: Terry, Luiz, Cahill, Richards, Iva CDM: Mikel, Rambo, Fellaini, Romeu CM: Rambo, Benat, Oscar, Fellaini, Kdb, Josh?, Lamps? LW: Mata, Hazard, Moses, Zaha, Marin, Kdb RW: Mata, Hazard, Moses, Zaha, Marin, Kdb CAM: Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Benat, Marin, Kdb ST: Cavani, Ba, Villa/Bony?/Torres? --- Not realy sure we need player like Isco or Zaha, Richards but we will need english players at least. Right now a priority is CM, in summer top striker, DM and defender.

Who will be Lampard's long-term replacement?
BlueLyon replied to The only place to be's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
There wont be new Lampard by any meaning. There wont be new Terry, Xavi, Messi, Ronaldo, Zidane. But there will be new players who will try to achieve (and some will) the legendary status that their idols had. A 'new' Lamps could only come in Mceachran as he is english and chelsea youth academy kid (even Lamps wasnt that). He has Chelsea written all over him and with world class performances, he will go to history as big legend. Kdb, Mata, Oscar, they dont have english culture in them. They dont have that big character. Anyway from current players, Mata will take Lampards role, but he wont be new Lampard. He has leading abilities, he has passing skills. Also he has loyalty. But he will need to get older to achieve the respect like Lamps has. -
Today, there is no one similar to Alonso, but maybe Busquets. Either CMs are more offensive (Moutinho, Modric, Cabaye,...) or DMs (Mikel, Song,...). Busquets is closest to what Alonso is, but even he doesnt have such great long passing. Maybe Javi Martinez will evolve to Alonso, but he is very defensive now and doesnt have same ball control as Alonso. Another mention is DeRossi but he wont leave and is also older. I think Benat right now is very good choice. He isnt exactly Makelele or Alonso in defending, but he is much more tactical if you compare him to Moutinho, Modric,...he sticks in midfield and works there very well. For I say 18-20mio, he would be very good buy.

Im not that sure about Mou. Im realy happy for what he did for us, but now he is just different person. Specialy in this season, he realy fucked up RM. Terrible results, shit play, benching Casillas, exuses,...he once was that love-hate person with great charisma, big entertainer, with his own methods. Bit arogant, but always for team. Now he looks on himself more, his charisma blend and his arrogance rised. It could be Real, but U think he realy doesnt give shit about that club. He just keeps doing weird things and cant pull the best of players. Modric was also terrible buy, while he still didnt fixed RB problem. Right now, with youth and all we have, he will come here and buy few new older players he wants and bench young ones. He never realy evolved talents into world class players (except at Porto maybe). He has Jese Rodrigues, Morata, Nacho,...but he just doesnt use them. Also he needed Rb and he sold castilla player Carvajal who could easily step in bigger role at RM. Right now we need player who has very good understanding towards young players. Someone who knows how to use them and be patient. Pep, Klopp, maybe De Boer from Ajax.

Hm, so Oscar is what, Air? We signed him to compete for CAM with Mata and latter moves back in CM. I dont see Oscar moving to CM, so if you ask me, Oscar is good enough to backup Mata. He is just very young and doesnt have the playmaker skills yet, but with experience he has all to be world class. I dont understand why you dont trust Oscar. And there is also Kdb coming... We have Matas backups, but sure they are not that good as Mata. Still you dont need world class backup realy. We aint Rm or Barca and we aint City. I say keep the quality (and good player relations), not quantity.
-
Just because he is spurs player, it doesnt mean he is shit or whatever. Great player that offers direct play and completes actions. Would take him in a beat for anything up to 35mio. But Spurs want 50mio and he is RM fan so this topic should be closed.
-
If we sign him, it will realy remind me of city buying Nasri when they already had bunch of players on that position...Fantastic talent but it doesnt makes sense unless we will buy 4 players this month (Ba, Isco, CM and defender-DM/CB)
-
I would have nothing against him if he comes (after all he was picked as best U-21 player in the world), but right now we need other positions to strenghten more...
-
Micah Richards would be great signing if you ask me, english, versatile and young. A good CM is necessary too. Fellaini was linked lot, maybe Benat, Pjanic or xyz. Cavani in summer and Torres out.

In terms of passing football, Barca will be ahead of us for another 10 years at least. Last year we won CL with our game. If we go Chelsea tikitaka vs Barca tikitaka we will never win against them because they are better in that. We are (were) better at defending and taking chances. Play our game, not being defensive and park the bus at all, but for fuck sake, dont copy barca. We are fucking english team and should play like so! Not that classic strong harsh nasty football, but as english team, we could also be offensive and creative and play beautiful. This comparising to barca and that we are making barca tactics is pissing me of. We are CHELSEA. Not city to be overloaded with unhappy players etc...We lack some balls and experience. Get a powerful CM, keep rest team as it is, involve youth and we will have some great team in two years. Why the hell we need another CAM like Isco? Cuz Oscar isnt good enough? And sell Kdb? And have 10 pissed CAMs on bench? Yeah lets buy buy buy and sell what we already bought. And in two years, a new super talent will come and we should buy him too and sell Isco then and...brilliant logic. Some people just dont trust our players. I mean, Kdb is doing great so far, but you would sell him just to bring in Isco? Just because he is more fancy or what? I wont be surprised if Kdb becomes bigger player than Isco in the end... ...rage over...
-
Also we are short on real wingers. Only Moses is realy winger and party Marin. Someone like Bale/Alexis Sanchez/Dzsudzsak/Wallcot would fit us better.
-
So you think we should have great chemistry among players with Hazard and Mata starters and Isco, Oscar on bench? They are way too good to be on bench and that will ruin whole team understanding. We dont need Mata type players on bench. Does Barca have Xavis and Iniestas on bench? They have Thiago, Song,...And you say Oscar cant replace Mata? Sure he cant, cuz Mata is our motor and heart playmaker. You dont have two such players in team. We aint barca btw either...First things first, we need CM (who could easily play in more attacking role if Mata needed rest). Then there are Kdb, Moses, Oscar, Marin all fighting for one place along Mata, Hazard. But you would still buy buy buy right? You Would never play Kdb etc then would you? We have players and board will give them chance, thank god the Isco rumours are unreliable. Also we are in TRANSITION. Patience and we will have hell of a good squad soon. But at the moment we are not Top club. If we were, we would be in CL and we would be world club champions. We are building on new team and if you dont trust me that toi many players is not working, then check City and united. City full with longest world class bench out of CL, while United with one of shittest midfields and defences they still do their work on top level (they win matches). Its not bout Quantity but Quality! Mind that will ya?
-
First of all this player is fantastic player. However he is NOT what we need. He is CAM. And we have Oscar, Mata, Hazard, Kdb and Marin who all play there. And 4 of them could easily be starters and should be. We dont need Isco to be backup, competition or whatever. Oscar is already there, as well Marin and Kdb on the way. Too many players is not always best thing. The second thing is that we need CM to play in pivot. Even a CM puts some doubts that Oscar will ever be our starter if some good CM actualy comes. With Moses, Mata and Hazard I dont see starting spot for Oscar. That means, Isco is totaly unneccesary, he is great talent but we will never have them all and we shouldnt. Go after Benat, Camacho, Essien, Kdb, Capoue, Bender , Gundogan, Sissoko or Hernanes instead...
-
Yeah he fucks up quite some chances, BUT he is direct, strong and very good dribbler. Guy is young and offers a lot of pace which needs more players to cover him. That said, he is required for our team. With experience, he will be more calm and wont waste the chances. And I seriously dont see point why must you keep bashing every our player who makes few mistakes. Messi loses most balls of all Laliga players, but he does important job for Barca and no one blames him. Moses is becoming very important to us too. Chill the fuck down!
-
Very happy for Ba. Keep doing good work, he realy fits the team, if I was some guy who never watches football, I could easy say Ba has hid club all over his heart. Very humble player and very honest too, you dont see that many times. Him and Mata make great pair. Im sure Nino is jelous, but he had 1000 chances to prove and thats it. He just isnt Chelsea sadly. Great performance from team overall, except we have huge unstability right now. Some huge wins and weak defeats. I guess the team is young and needs to play more together thats all.
-
Hm, Adam Lallana would be nice backup for our cm creator...english and young enough to show more.
-
We finaly got a big black striker again. Chelsea just isnt chelsea without it. And seriously I hope he wont be backup for Torres.
-
I realy feel this guy will be our legend in couple years if he wont have knee problems. He seems so nice guy and maybe he wont play as good as Drogba, but he has that great character as person. Wish you all the best Ba at Cfc
-
Well fuck you too if you mean serious.
-
League is now lost, keep third place or go on second, but no difference realy. For this game, I honestly dont know what to expect. Its Chelsea vs small team, could be trashing them or some weird defeat in the end...our morale is low, dont expect to win, unless good performance...
-
Well he was allround mid in Arsenal, but I remember he was in pivot with Song many times. Obviously he had more offensive role than Song...
