The only thing that worries me is that Cesc is being invisible in big games, therefore I dont see him as matchwinner like Lamps was...and it could be concern because Cesc is one of key players now and wonder how will his performances affect our team in big CL games.

I say we sell Cesc in january after only half year here and Oscar after he just extened contract. And buy Koke and Pogba instead. Maybe then people will be finally happy here.

For Chelsea, Mou and current system we play, than pretty much yes. Dont get confused with most valuable or best n10 tho, there is difference.

We arent barca or Peps bayern and those stats mean shit to Chelsea, because we play different system. We play counter attack and single goal is more valuable for Mou than all those 10372829383 passes Thiago would make. But why does matter who would barca prefer to be xavi successor anyway? Are we barca? It just proves Thiago fits tiki taka system more, it doesnt tell who is better player. For example, put Thiago in defensive team with less ball and he wont be that important at all.

Basicaly everytime he played, our right side was more open, more than when Willian plays. All Im saying is that Mourinho game is based on counter attacks and you need players who can finish, pass, cross or dribble, depending on situation to get such tactics efficient. And Schurrle (partly Willian too) have been too hot/cold in time here. While Schrrle is still young, Willian is on his peak most probably. But I see Schurrle as impact sub, nothing more, sorry. He is good player and can score goals, has top runs, but thats about it.

Yeah he has intelligent runs, but in terms when to pass, when to shoot, when to cross, he is average. He cant step on the ball and create attack. Well obviously he can once every 10 attempts, but that is just poor. And he might track back, but his way of defending is not good. I remember him and Iva being caught out few times. All in all, even if he starts scoring, I think he will be an impact sub at best. He is that in Nt and he is that in Chelsea. Im OK with Schurrle (unlike some who want to ditch him after few bad games), but IMO he just isnt allround enough to be a starter here.

Only flaw Cesc has is his inability to perform on top in big games, elsewhere he is better player, until Thiago actualy completes season without spending 6 months on sidelines.

Obviously not, but everyone will want Reus. If we miss on him and Schurrle wont improve, both are interesting options. Cuadrado is fantastic dribbler and Turan is quite some leader in attack, something we lack. He knows how to dictate tempo, only Hazard, Costa and Matic did that for us in big games this season. Also Arda and Cuadrado have tons of stamina and are work horses. Something Mou appreciates alot. That said, if Schurrle improves, we obviously wont even need another winger, not even Reus. But I have my doubts over Schurrle as his allround play is quite poor and his tracking back is terrible. Neither is he inteligent as Turan, Reus or Cuadrado in attack.

Carvajal, Azpi, Moreno, Gaya, Bernat, Alba. Spain has shitload of quality fullbacks for next 10 years. It will be interesting which two make biggest legacy there.

If not him, there are always alternatives like Turan, Cuadrado,...

I dont get why the hell we have 20-23 years old 5th choice AM, who needs playtime more than anything else and when he actualy comes in play, he cant offer almost nothing because he has no form, no play time and no experience or whatsoever. I understand if there was youth project and Salah (or whoever) was part of future, but I dont see Salah anywhere near first 11. We will probably buy 5 more AMs if required before giving Salah a real chance. Neither is he homegrown to fill that quota. I must say, I have nothing against Salah, but its plain waste of his potential and space in squad to have him here. An experienced, 30 years old proven AM who is ready to get a game once in a month would be better choice in those games, because he has experience how to act. Not to mention such player can help defence and attack better in crucial game, rather than someone like Salah who wouldnt even know what to do in those situations.

I didnt say we should sign Pogba, but that I think if we sign another CM, it will be Pogba. And if that happens and why, I leave that to Mou.

Lol. We just signed Cesc and people already talk about his replacement. Not to mention, Oscar just signed extension. If we sign another midfielder, it will be someone like Pogba IMO.

Would be nice to get back to get big win, like 3:0 or 4:0, but I can see quite opposite. Their GK will have game of his life and we will concede from stupid counter attack, then rescuing points in last 10 minutes. But come on, just trash them, its been too many tight wins recently for us, we need to get the job done early.
