The difference between Oblak and Kepa is that Oblak is actualy world class and Kepa was just a potentialy good. Much like Joao Felix. It just baffled me why would anyone pay more for a potentialy good player when you can get already world class one. I thought scouts knew something about Kepa and thats why we spent 70m on 7? year deal. Turns out it was just a gamble. Kepa is complete shite since his GF dumped him unfortunely.

Our defence is sadly complete shite. GK, CB and DM will all have to be brought if we want a balanced squad. Oblak, Partey and good, experienced CB would be more important than getting Havertz. Id love Havertz here, but we already have Pulisic, Werner and Ziyech who will play front 3 most likely.

He would be a realy good sub choice because he had that direct impact and instinct to present danger for tired defences. Those games against Psg, Arsenal and Fulham were great too. Sad to see him retire so soon but all the best in his future plans.

Oblak in my favourite team would be crazy. I never thought anyone from here would be good enough to play at the very top top level.

Leicester has to play Sheffield and Spurs, also United and Leicester play eachother on final day. I think we have the chances to finish in 3rd, but not with performances like today.

Juve is slowly but steadily going down with each transfer since Marotta left. First Danilo, Ramsey etc, now 70m for Arthur...and this. If they offload Sandro, they will be even worse.

We are not yet anywhere near the very top, which was evident in Bayern game. And this game or season isnt just building the team but also building the team and finishing in top 4. Every game we aim to win. If we went gung ho against city, we would probably be done by halftime. Also taking the chances when they make mistake is great because we were finally efficient. I dont worry about our game plan because usualy we create a ton of chances. We are only behind city in shots this season. Its just incredible how more creative we are compared to last season and before where we struggled. We arent clinical however and our defence has issues; once we fix that, we will compete with the best. Still City games, much like Barca in the past demand to be very careful with approach. Patient and wait for chance, unless you desperately need to score. IMO Lamps tactics were spot on.

And are you arguing or agreeing with that? I mean in big games, its important to win, not embarrass them. There are other 16 teams in PL we can embarrass. Against Pool, City, United as long we win, its enough for now.

Yes, but we played City. They are far superior team. Couldnt care less how, as long as we win these kind of games. We will however need to build on the consistency against weaker teams. Also tackles are last resort. Kante was just disciplined and kept midfield tight. City was in crazy form (8 goals in 2 games) and they didnt score against us from open play which is totaly fine for where we stand right now.

Whats the point of this? Valencia cant afford to pay anywhere near 70m and we wont have the money to properly replace him for the next 2 years. I honestly wonder how much can we get for him at all, if we do sell him. And how can we buy a new top gk if we dont sell Kepa first. Seems we are stuck with him. That said he wasnt bad in last 2 games.

United, Spuds, Arse have all easier schedule. Im not worried about Arse, but other two will certainly pick it up. We simply have to win these games or it wont be easy to finish top 4.

Yes which means less time for Tammy. Also I meant this in general, including Werner/Ziyech. Mount, RLC, Odoi,...certainly wont all be starters now. Not saying they are good enough or anything, but now they almost certainly wont get enough playtime.

While I think Havertz and the likes are great, Id actualy prefer to see Mount, RLC and others develop. They have enough potential to make us a top top club but just more patience and time.

A LB is certainly coming or we wouldnt be this interested in Chilwell/Tagliafico. If they meant one of those as marquee signing, thats a different thing. Money wise, we still have some cash from Hazard and Morata sales. If we buy LB, one of Alonso/Emerson will go. Bakayoko has no place here either. Jorginho is definately wanted by Juve, at least by Sarri. If they try to get him depends on Pjanic leaving. I guess money for Havertz is there or at least could be collected. But its also very likely we have no interest in him because we have many AMs already. Unless we play him as false #9, but its impossible to know that by any journo, so the rumours are probably false.

If we sold Kante, we would need to buy either Ndidi or Partey. Our defence already looks poor and if we plan to go with Jorginho, Kovacic, Gilmour and the possesion football, literaly any team could punish us on break. Thats how slow and weak that midfield would look. I hope we keep Kante. With all the attackers we have, it only makes sense we go 4231 anyways.
