  1. Anton snubs both Terry and Cole. He loses over the matter in a court of law, resorts to social media to complain in the public forum, and loses his dignity snubbing the handshake of a fellow man. He is a damn fool. Plus, have away fans not realized the more you boo JT the better he gets. Pshh QPR are fucking amateur. Let's stick a fork in the fucking tools
  2. What's so bad about a defensive-minded lineup in a hotly contested derby match? We haven't won away in the capital in 7 games. The knee-jerk reactions are annoying have some faith in Robbie eh? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see RDM pick sexy attacking teams, but I'd hate to see it backfire and get caught with our defensive pants down.
  3. Why don't our PL kits have gold PL numbers? Swansea's home kit...
  4. Assist was typical Branna RB play...making use of some space and cutting a pass into the penalty area. The goal was a screamer, smashed a low shot from about 20 yds out
  5. Welbeck still cant fucking score, but at least its a lampard pen. That play was made by ryan betrands acrobatic save though
  6. I expect Ryan to get the nod for this one since Ashley is nursing his ankle injury and RDM will need him 100% for the Juve game.
  7. He won't be match fit for the QPR game because he's on an individual fitness plan, he's yet to full first team training. I'd expect to see him making a sub appearance or start against Stoke or Wolves in the league cup
  8. To address your statement: again, I agree...but I wasn't arguing over that, I was mostly just qualifying what Cap had to say.
  9. Essentially, kinda...yeah. The 'ghetto resident' thing is mostly just a stereotype, honestly. But certainly athletics are given presidence over academics. This argument is pretty pointless...the 'european' youth football system is far superior on all levels
  10. No the best players used to be allowed to go from finishing high school straight into the NBA (Lebron, Kobe, etc) but a couple of years ago they made a regulation of at least one year of college before entering the draft. The logic behind it is sound but it doesn't really solve any problems because colleges will recruit the best players regardless of academic aptitude.
  11. Yeah he was the US media's poster boy for about a week when he had a reasonable run of form. Mainly because he graduated college when most of the NBA didn't even graduate high school
  12. Jeremy Lin graduate Harvard with a 3.1 GPA http://www.ocregiste...a-american.html EDIT: But to add to the debate, 'soccer' is extremely under-funded at a vast majority of schools that have large endowments. College football (american) and basketball draw huge TV deals and ticket/merchandise sales. We're talking like large as, if not larger than professional teams. Plus, a huge amount of legislation was passed in the 60s to balance out collegiate athletics in the states (mainly men/women balance). At the end of the day, the college is going to spend its entire share of 'mens' funds on development of a football or basketball team (the economically productive option) and leave most of the other men's sports grossly under-funded -- note that the funding is balanced by gender and not by sport. So basically, most professional football league clubs in england and top flight teams through europe will have funding and resources that a mere handful of US colleges do.
  13. A Marseille fan in the transfer thread mentioned he was a javelin player in his younger years and that a long throw was a weapon of his. Never know when it could come in handy
  14. Anyone know why McEachran didn't feature in the squad for the game against Azerbaijan today?
  15. The bits about Mikel playing horizontally and Lampard folding when pressed are spot on, but I'm more than sure that Robbie would've noticed those problems too. Onwards and upwards boys... no reason to dwell on a game where the lack of fight and care in our players played as big a role as the tactics of the opposition.
  16. Yeah one's his sister one's his wife I suppose. There's another one on his instagram where they are out at dinner with David Luiz. He must be a ridiculous housemate
  17. Did you know that he's married already? Edit: apparently the girl in the dress is his sister and the one with her arms around him is his wife Ludy Emboaba
  18. We know Bertrand can own the LM spot in our 4231, but the 433 we played against Newcastle looked a much sexier, more flowing style of play. I wonder if Bertrand can produce on the left in that more compact middle 3...
  19. I guess the money justifies it all. From a footballing perspective...they are in the CL, so it's not like they are joining a graveyard league.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC7IonfqU1w #bringballackback It's not on the same level as Scholes retiring from ManU and then still coming back 6 months later. He's still an active player...it might look desperate to some of us, but why not?
  21. Trust me brother, I watched every minute of Brazil's olympic campaign and the 4-3 thriller against Argentina. I was one of the first to jump on the Oscar bandwagon... who couldn't love a kid with his amount class and skill? But enough of me qualifying my faith in him, I was just trying to explain that RDM will probably like to ease Oscar into the team instead of throwing him into the first XI instantly.
