  1. Agreed. But there is a little part of me that is gutted for Cahill on a personal level -- representing your country in a major competition is a serious personal achievement for any athlete
  2. I haven't followed the Belgian team much do they usually line-up with Hazard central up front?
  3. Yeah, agreed. I feel that signing what looks to be a more balanced player with potential to improve is a more proactive decision than signing a purely offensive player of Hulk's age.
  4. A player with rapid pace, a deadly right foot and (most importantly) real potential is a far better option than Hulk. Not to forget that he'd be nearly half the price and has proven himself in a substantially more defensive league
  5. I understand the theory behind the three-match bans, but it seems a bit excessive considering that two of the games the ban includes are the biggest cup finals that UEFA has (CL Final and Super Cup)
  6. Forgetting the absolute importance of Ramires' wing play in this last season is a sin. A central midfielder with the ability to push offensively is a far better option (Beñat from Real Betis, for example)
  7. To be honest, not really. Just cameos in the CL/Europa. But I wouldn't think that his style of play in the Portuguese league could drastically improve from what I had seen of him in Europe
  8. Drogba's flops usually had a tactical purpose
  9. Can't say I'm too pleased with the departure of Bos and Kalou (could still be great squad players if we brought in replacements), but it is definitely a way to spur on transfer activity.
  10. I honestly cannot stand Hulk. He's got the muscles of a silverback gorilla but reacts to any slight contact by flailing about and sobbing to the ref. ...and his shots on goal a couple cannon fires here, a surface-to-air missile there, and an endless stream of worthless flicks and tricks that result in nothing but embarrassment and goal kicks. I really hope he doesn't come here
  11. After reading the entire interview, I am amazed that people are still making such a damn fuss... He was gutted not to be picked in a big game, who the fuck on earth wouldn't be? The mental pressure on Nando has been massive this year so you can't fault the bastard for wanting to prove it to himself and to the fans (like he has been recently).
  12. Even without waiting for clarification, it looks to be a textbook case of news media making a meal out of nothing. Just consider those quotes in the context of his celebrations and even his performance last night. It makes little sense that he would say something so pointed and negative so soon. FFS have some damn faith in the guy...the last thing he deserves is a "fuck off" from his supports. smh
  13. "So cheer us on through the sun and rain Cause Chelsea, Chelsea is our name."
  14. Has got to be our cup. Munich has been absolutely unconvincing in front of goal. believe.
  15. The more I think about it, the more I can see the midfield missing Ramires' pace and aggression
  16. Gotta slow the pace in midfield and stay composed. When Munich builds momentum our defense becomes unorganized and reactionary
