  1. XI 4-4-1-1: Begovic, Zabaleta, Vertonghen, Shawcross, Baines, Fellaini, Mata, Cazorla, Bale, Suarez, RVP Bench: Jaaskelainen, Rose, Pienaar, Michu, Toure, Defoe, Ba
  2. i bet Alex Song agrees with you now
  3. still good for 18 months or so. would be brilliant if we get him but i don't see it happening. also, i would like for our deals to conclude our deals early in the window but as of now, don't think we'll sign anyone in the first week
  4. No point grumbling about rafa. he's here for the season and going about his work professionally. i have new found respect for him in the way he has handled the situation. still hoping that we get either Pep or Jose in the summer though
  5. i think this is the price you pay for increased ticket prices. instead of passionate fans you get rich families into the ground which creates a dull atmosphere. i hear that the fans banned for standing were at the "Singing section" of the club or in other words, the "Voice" of the club for ex - Norwich fans on Wednesday were chanting - "Thursday Night Chanel 5" and Chelsea fans replied with a "Champions of Europe - We know what we are" chant. that's what you should have in football. i bet if Norwich fans chanted that at the Emirates, they would be met by silence edit - in all that i forgot the point was trying to make. passionate fans = singing/standing and egging the team on. families = sitting down and having a nice time
  6. nah. the title winning season we were done in by that git Saha. 2-1 away
  7. yes but it is more likely that we will sign One proper striker and One converted striker. we buy Ba and he will be 3rd choice behind villa and torres which he won't accept. we need to spot players like hernandez who will accept 3rd choice roles and yet be good when called upon. Wilfried Bony perhaps?
  8. his redcard was rescinded wasn't it? damn it. everton away is always a shyte fixture to play. we didn't win there even in the double-winning Carlo season. not looking forward to this. i hope rafa doesn't drop Moses now. Baines needs to be contained at LB and also, any word on the Ramires injury?
  9. yep. Unstoppable shots and the Drogba celebration ripping up the Goodison pitch. epic moment
  10. contract ends in 2014. wouldn't be surprised if it was 15 in the summer
  11. They don't have that git Saha anymore. he would always score against us. also, Everton are missing Gibson and Fellaini in the middle of the park. don't think there is a better time to face them. should go for the win. can't remember the last time we won there. 3-2 was it? under Jose. Ballack, Lampard and Drogba stunners from Long range edit: i see it's the 1-0 in 07-08
  12. No Gibson No Fellaini worried about the left side though. Azpilicueta will have his hands full with Pienaar and Baines
  13. Wilfried Bony - Vitesse Arnhem is basically our bitch. David Villa on loan - Problems at Barca and hasn't started since mid-November Demba Ba - 7.5mil release clause Darren Bent - Wants out Theo Walcott - 6 months left on contract Andre Schurrle - Long term Chelsea target
  14. I wanted to know what your Ins and Outs for the window would be. No discussion, no explanation just names. I'll tell you mine -Ins- David Villa on loan Theo Walcott - 15mil Essien Loan Recall -Outs- Daniel Sturridge - 12mil Florent Malouda - 3mil
  15. teams warming up. Apparently we are in the white shirt. don't understand why. we played in the blue shirts last year
  16. Rex and Drayton Green from http://www.norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk have kindly agreed to answer a few questions about Norwich's current season. 1.Firstly, can you tell how long have you been a Norwich City fan? Rex: 48 years. Drayton: 45 years 2. Thoughts on the season you are having? Satisfied? Rex: I knew this would be a difficult season even without a change of manager. That we have recovered from a very shaky start to be tenth at Christmas has exceeded my expectations. However, you can never be satisfied. Sometimes even winning the Champions League is not good enough. Drayton: More than satisfied. Before WBA game it looked like we could avoid a season of being close to relegation. Maybe we still can 3. Last time you faced Chelsea, it ended in a 4-1 win for the Blues. What has changed since then at Norwich? Rex: The team has continued to grow. The style of play is quite different from the way we played under Paul Lambert. Last time round, we were still learning and had vulnerabilities. This time, we are tighter and more focused. Ruddy is out, a big miss, Bunn is a worthy replacement even though he is still developing. The game could go any way. Drayton: I was there at that game. We have a better defence, the team are playing in harmony with CH 's tactics and we are also playing with self believe that we can beat anybody irrespective of the players in it and how much they cost. 4. Who has been your best player so far? Rex: I think Wes Hoolahan shades it but we don't really have best players. We have the honour of having scored the best team goal of the Premier League with 29 passes (I think). Drayton: The team as a whole but in defence Bassong has been immense and in terms of creativity we have been on a great rum since Hooohan has been in the team. 5. What do you think about Chelsea's season so far? Rex: A remarkable turnaround after some astounding decisions by the higher echelons. You have a team that is awesome, when everyone is on song. I hope, for our sake, somebody has an off day. Drayton: Seems up and down and maybe lacking stability due to managers situation. Maybe slightly below expectations 6. Thoughts about Rafa Benitez? Rex: Master tactician, could be prickly. That may upset some of the more sensitive stars. Drayton: Desperate for a job and happy to take flack to get one. He is a good manager and if allowed to run things his way maybe will get a top 3 place. 7. If you could have one player from Chelsea who would it be? Rex: Don't tell the others. I would be in lots of trouble. Lampard. Drayton: We need a striker but you have many attacking midfielders so I would take Mata 8. Predict the scoreline for today's game. Rex: In my heart 2-1 to us. In my nightmares, we score first then you slot 5 past us. Realistically, close. Score draw (2-2) or narrow loss (1-2). Drayton: 2 2
  17. @CHOULO19, i have opposition views from two Norwich fans on http://www.norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk i'll PM it to you, mate?
  18. streams will be there. mostly european. just not aired by ESPN-Asia
  19. F*** THIS! Sunderland ManC being aired. ESPN, I hate you.
  20. exactly and there has been no news of which game will be replacing it. it better be cfc norwich. if they don't air it, it'll be like the 10th game this season not aired here
  21. The Stupid TV Schedule has Arsenal vs West Ham on.anyone know if it'll be aired live in India?
  22. nope. this is a really good deal if we can pull it off. by spending virtually nothing, we've got a striker till the summer and it is important mainly because, whenever we are stuck in games, rafa will have the option of switching to 2 strikers up top. if we sign Villa on loan, recall Essien and sign Walcott on the cheap, i'd go bonkers. HG quota filled, class striker in, midfield depth solved.
  23. highly unlikely in January. Villa, if available would be a brilliant short-term option before buying Falcao or Cavani in the summer
  24. i am worried though. no good striker available atm. we won't be buying cavani or falcao for sure. not when rafa is around anyway. huntelaar signed a new contract. we will be going for the likes of Wilfried Bony etc. also, with Sturridge gone, we are one player short in the HG quota which makes the Walcott move all the more sensible. No better British talent available atm
