I agree. Emery or Cesc (vibes but seems to have a sharp team around him) would be the ones I'd look at too. I worry that Rosenior will be a lightning rod for the fanbase's anger against the owners and will be walking into a tough atmosphere.

Seems like there's no other manager in the frame. Any serious footballing operation would have a serious replacement readied behind the scenes. If Rosenior is heading the shortlist (as it appears so far), we are clearly run by an unserious bunch.

We don’t have a better team than Villa. Few players better than the ones in their lineup but they’ve consistently been in and around the top 4 for a few seasons now - we marginally pipped them in the only time we finished above them. They have a settled squad for years + the know how to manage games in this league unlike our squad which is refreshed every year and has super inexperienced players in key areas.

There are marginal gains to be made with a different manager. We need the owners to change their policy and put together a serious squad. Some of our starting players are too young and inexperienced and they want to compete in the toughest league in the world with that squad.

I dont think this is true at all. We are weak in key areas - CB, LW, ST (JP is a second striker) + we have the youngest squad of the lot The team played well vs Newcastle, Villa and Bournemouth but came away with 2 points. We've had very few professional, no-nonsense 90 min performance this season and that's because of the squad we have assembled which was not a Maresca call. Maresca is not 90% of the problem at all. We will need a new coach but more than that, we will need to refresh the starting XI with experienced players.

No one Wait till the summer and see if Emery or anyone else (Cesc?) becomes a serious option.
