If we keep on starting Torres ahead of Ba his morale is going to drop surely? Especially as he can see Torres isn't effective up front alone. Ba is a must, also players that return to their previous clubs always seem to score against them.....Lets do this KTBFFH :cfc:

I too wont loose my shit just yet. For the first goal Ivanovic could have blocked it but the commitment wasn't there, he didn't fully commit to the block, he also gave the ball away numerous times. Also Oscar has scored some great goals before tonight cut the boy some slack, the great turn and shoot in the Champions League, when he volley chipped the keeper and last weeks one against Brentford so I don't think that its not that he cant finish rather than he might not be as sharp as he could be, and that's down to mental state and training. Rafa needs to get the best out of our players and I don't think he is, IMO

Ramires is awesome not only does he get in tackles but once he breaks you cant catch him. He doesn't use trickery to pass defenders but he uses a touch around them and his pace. With regards to his decision making lets not forget the pass he supplied to Drogba against Barca in the CL. He is also entitled to have a rush of blood to the head and take a shot. Yes he should of got his shot on target though, but he tried to kill the keeper and skied it. I also thought Oscar was good, he worked hard when they countered and was good with the ball. All in all it wasn't a loss and that's what counts right now.

Also they will claim they didnt use Jack Wilshire, their secret weapon.
-
I am patriotic but I do understand why he chose to take the decision he did.
-
The real recipe for beating Arsenal is a big cup of DD11.
-
I also felt he would have fitted in well here, the Bafana fans were upset that he retired as he was one of our hopes, they calling him a coward. They feel the fact that he can play for the Toffees and not his Country is pathetic.
-
He has retired recently from our NT, he never performs because even though he scores the odd goal for Everton he is more of a creator and he does that well. The problem was we had one decent striker (McCarthy) when Pienaar wasn't involved now we have a striker that doesn't provide much option for Pienaar. I think he retired out of frustration.

Not my team, Bafana Bafana dont know what a goal is,,,except maybe for Tshabalala.
-
Yeah I think its a great place to find a few hidden talents and we can get to watch Didier again.
-
Just thought I would ask the question of whether many people from around the world watch the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) or is it only people that live in Africa?
-
Please don't post a video of that on here .
-
My worry about Romeu is that he had no pace and now with this injury I hope it doesn't slow him down even more.
-
I felt Cole was very sloppy going forward, his crossing was bad and I feel he often doesn't react offensively like he used to. Defensively he was solid but down the flanks not so great. Brana had a bad game but man this guy is consistent most of the time so shit happens. I felt we moved the ball nicely we just couldn't break them down. Torres seems to have lost his passion for the game and I don't want to see him start for a while. I am going to stay optimistic and say we are going to come back in the second leg, Brana will score one of the goals if started.

Great win its a pitty its not with a great end result. One thing that pissed me off is when so many people in the crowd leave, stand by your team to the end.

We can take a few good things from this game, the only thing that worried me on defense particularly on the left side was when our players were sucked into the middle and City passed it back out wide we reacted on closing them down very slowly at times, which either gives them space to run at us or have time to give a half decent cross. I felt Ashley Cole reacted a bit slow at times when we were on attack. He missed a couple of good chances to maraud up the left touchline. Torres is too weak he only showed aggression once decisions weren't going his way instead of starting the game with a bit of fire. All in all I have kept my feeling towards Benitez to myself as I to be honest felt divided on the situation from the start. I loved Di Matteo and was upset about him being sacked like he was but also I felt that something needed to be changed. Hopefully we buy a half decent striker soon as I feel this is our biggest issue right now.

What a disgrace! This is a proper embarrassing moment for our beloved club.
-
We all know inside that nothing is going to be done about Torres in the near future. I hope I am proven wrong as I would like to see Sturridge given a good run out, NOT against Man United though as I feel we shouldn't rock the boat just yet.
-
I actually didn't want to read the thread because I thought it was another one of these, I think Chelsea will end 4th this season, I would have read it much earlier if it said something regarding kit sales.
-
I am so glad I missed the Norwich game and recorded it, now I can watch it this week and it will make this break so much more bearable.
-
I think we can definitely walk away with 3 points. 2-1 to Chelsea. We must keep our our starting line up like the one against Arsenal. I would also like to see Torres shooting when he gets the chance and stop trying to dribble it into the net.
-
I was at a all weekend Party in the bush so didn't get a chance to watch the game, but after reading all the posts here I will now make a point of watching the whole game.
-
I also felt Oscar worked extremely hard, tracking back and getting in the way all the time. I voted Rami as he was really good except for his very first pass . I see good things in the future for Chelsea and lets hope this team can build into a real force not only in England but in Europe ( Consistently). Otherwise it was a great team effort.
-
Lets hope that the number 11 of Chelsea continues to haunt Arsenal for a long time.
-
Oh I was under the impression that he was used as a holding Mid at times, and that's where I thought he would fit well into our side, hence the comparisons. If he was in the side JT, Iva or Luiz can choose between them who is going to go forward and who would hang back. Just gives us so many options. Fellani also makes a great target man which is something we don't have, as a option.
