Cheers Big man, as a South African I can definitely confirm that the man has a huge following here and has gained a huge amount of fans from South Africa for Chelsea. Always remembered never forgotten.

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

It was a pity we didn't have the Pens taken on the Chelsea side of the pitch as it would have looked awesome with the crowed going bonkers, but then again to see the Bayern fans just sitting there was also priceless. Still might of preferred it on our side though. -
You can never tell if a player is going to be a great fit you have to give the player a chance and if he wants it enough he will take it. This guy shows determination and for me has a great future ahead of him if he keeps focused. I for one want to see him play at Chelsea with a correctly rotated squad. Lets build another LEGEND of Chelsea FC and not waste a great opportunity. Drogba himself didn't have the greatest start to his career and now we are forever grateful for what he has done. Time will tell.

I'm getting the Medal box set, the long sleeve CL shirt and the Short sleeve Home kit with one of our new signings.....Hopefully Hulk or Hazard.

Neither of mine do much at the moment, so they actually just get in the way when I run.

I would have given my left nut to be there. All I want now is a signed shirt by Drogba.

Cech dove in the right direction for everyone of their penalties, He was so close to saving all their attempts. LEGEND! -

Big ears is where it belongs. -
Didier Drogba forever in my heart!

It was on Ramires but it was not as bad as Essiens. Not that I am complaining.

I am so nervous for the final it is not funny. What worries me, is that against Barca everyone knew the tactics needed to stand a chance of beating them. With Bayern its a bit more different. How offensive should we play? How defensive should we play? Do we hit on the counter or try keep the ball. All I know is Bayern on the counter are really good with Robben and Ribery. They can pump the long ball into Gomez and the can play tight if needed. They are a versatile side. Their defense is suspect with key players out (like ours at the moment). IMO they are actually a similar side to us just with better players out wide. Its going to be interesting and I cant wait anymore,,,,,,,,,bring it on. -
If you had to compare this performance to the general performance under AVB this performance was actually good. If you compare it to performances under RDM this performance was slightly under par. I just feel like Newcastle were better organised and deserved the victory. I am not at all disappointed with our performance under the circumstances.

Is it Time to Start Drogba and Torres Together?
Drogzola replied to Justin_3d's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Its hard to judge from last nights situation as they had parked the bus by then and also we were chasing the game. I felt we looked better with Mata, Drogba and Torres in attack in last nights game than with Sturridge, Malouda and Torres. -

I voted yes, we might as well experiment with formations and starting line ups in PL. Drogba up top and Torres just behind him. Drogba can give great assists and we have seen that Torres likes a bit of space to work with. Would something like this work? Also the Question mark is for a suggestion for a player in that position. Cech Ivanovich Cahill/Luiz Terry Cole/Bertrand Mikel/Ramires KDB Mata/Lampard ?/Piazon Torres Drogba -
Yeah Bosingwa allows them to cut inside so easily, its actually embarrassing, Sturridge needed to get back into our half to be able to see what foot Santon uses.
-
Totally agreed. I would of thought a clear instruction would have been given to someone like Mikel or Ramires to pick up on Cisse you dont need to be a rocket scientist to see the man is in amazing form. Mark him out the game and the game would have had a totally different outcome. Oh well whats done is done. Would have like to see the Drogba and Torres partnership for a longer period of time.
-
Also if you watch Brana is guilty of ball watching and not getting a bit closer to Cisse.
-
Well that's why I am baffled at why we chase these players that not only cost to bring them over but generally have really large wages too. I have always liked a side that can carry youthful energy and older experience. Lets hope this next window it becomes one of opportunity rather than one of stupidity.
-
I feel if their is a side that should get praised for their signings it should be Newcastle. They don't break the bank for players but they all seem to be worth the money spent. I have respect for them. That said, we really need to put them away, it will make a huge statement considering our bad run earlier in the season.
-
Well now that Liverpools Suarez and our Torres have both scored Hat tricks it will be interesting final. I would still start Drogba and if things are or even aren't going well I would play both of them up front together. I think with the form they both in it will be a great thing to watch.
-
This is the first chance Im getting to comment on the game and wow. I couldn't fall asleep last night because of the emotions and adrenalin running through me. I also saw Torres risky movement he made and I called for the defenders to just pump the ball up field and when it happened I couldn't believe it. Cech was my MOTM and his save with his feet to deny Messi was pure class. All I know is it must be our year for glory. If it doesn't happen I will still be proud of what we have done.
-
I felt that it wasn't a totally disappointing result but did leave a nice aftertaste when Spurs lost. What I cant understand is we didn't have Lukaku on the bench but we had Merieles and Lampard, why not keep another CF on the sideline and if Torres wasn't firing on all cylinders well you have another fresh option. He seems to be a mighty expensive bench warmer.
-
Would be a great thing if Mata could score past them. i would love that.
-
I like how after he tackles him he looks back and admires his work.

I think both Ashley Youngs dives were worse than this.
