This is the first chance Im getting to comment on the game and wow. I couldn't fall asleep last night because of the emotions and adrenalin running through me. I also saw Torres risky movement he made and I called for the defenders to just pump the ball up field and when it happened I couldn't believe it. Cech was my MOTM and his save with his feet to deny Messi was pure class. All I know is it must be our year for glory. If it doesn't happen I will still be proud of what we have done.

I felt that it wasn't a totally disappointing result but did leave a nice aftertaste when Spurs lost. What I cant understand is we didn't have Lukaku on the bench but we had Merieles and Lampard, why not keep another CF on the sideline and if Torres wasn't firing on all cylinders well you have another fresh option. He seems to be a mighty expensive bench warmer.

Would be a great thing if Mata could score past them. i would love that.

I like how after he tackles him he looks back and admires his work.

I think both Ashley Youngs dives were worse than this.

Football is really unpredictable. All we need is a moment of brilliance and that is all they need too. So lets hope we have more of those then them and keep the basics good. We have players that can be amazing and pull anything out of the hat. Drogba, Ramires with his runs, Lampard, Luiz, even Torres (his volley against Fulham was sweet). Keep the faith and lets roll them over.

Do you think we going to have a huge clean out? I am hoping we don't sign a whole bunch of big names they come with too much Baggage. We need to find players that are young and hungry for the game and to make a name. That Frei kid from Fulham was class.

What I cant understand is why if we don't have wingers we keep playing wide. Would it not be better to try bring it up through the middle with tight passes and little triangles. Lampard is slow and so is Raul but they can definately adapt to playing quick passes. We dont have a force in the air with Torres and with Mata it makes sense as he likes tight situations. We didnt get onto one cross from open play and when we could have it was Kalou on the end of it who is not known for using his head (in more ways than one). Keep the game tight and it might work out better for us.

I see. Well lets hope Essien will be back to his normal self. He seems to be protecting his injury which is perfectly normal.

Kalou was awful, he cant even run at a defender and his passing is soft, reason Ramires missed the goal was because he expected a firmer pass (no excuse I know) so he went through it too quickly. Lampard got my vote thought he passed crisp and got stuck in when he had to. Total performance was comfortable as if we put it in cruise control. Ramies was also bad. Not a fan of Mereiles but he really put his foot through that. Not a great win but its still a win. Ref was shit and card happy. Bring Barca.

If we go through to meet Barca all I want is for us to give them a go and make it hard for them, if we beat them it will be fantastic. I would play Drogba in these games because he will have a score to settle and if he wants too he will break Puyol and Pique. I'm optimistic but still have this one part of me that says it is a task that is going to need a huge effort from all our players. Cech is going to have his work cut out for him.

The pitch didn't help Barca in the first leg. Barca will beat Milan on a pitch prepared for their style of play. Hope for a great game though.

It was just my honest feeling I felt after I read his post. Its actually not to be volatile its more out of jest.

I feel we could have put another goal away on the counter, especially towards the end of the game. I know we had a game plan and it was done well but just imagine two unanswered away goals! Luiz was awesome and Ferreira was also great, why only use him now, he is better than Bosingwa? I would have liked to see Drogba in the last few minuets as he is great at ending a game and he has some of the best defensive headers I have ever seen and they were sending in the long balls. Otherwise a decent performance but we not home and dry yet.

Lets hope that if we do start Drogba this whole thing gets him fired up and he can silence Jorge. What I cant understand is why cant he show some disrespect? I know being humble and all is the way a footballer should carry himself but also showing too much respect before the game might lead to showing too much respect on the field. Lets get the two teams fired up and make a game of this. IMO. :cfc:

He has nothing to offer us. He scores great goals once in awhile but otherwise his passing has been shit and he is not a great tackler nor is he strong or good in the air. Oh and get a proper fucking haircut!

True that.....I was amazed at his stamina. Also he generally times his slide tackles really well, abnormally well.
