Another incentive for him to score a goal.

Similar right?
-
Another assist by Torres eh?

Mikel has done really well under RDM.He's shown that he is a force to be reckoned with and that he shouldn't be considered as a 3rd choice for the cdm role. I honestly feel that Essien is much better at that role.Essien can offer much more than Mikel,he's fast and can take some lethal long shots.Romeu is also a class cdm.He makes those quick passes up ahead and is solid at the back,he's like a 5th defender for us. Reports have suggested that Juventus are interested in Essien. Now I feel if they offer more than 10m then we should sell him.Essien is too injury prone and its time we sell our players at the right time. The man is almost 30 years old and it can be fair to say that he wont be here for long.Mikel's performances can be erratic but then we also have a consistent Romeu who may choose us over Barcelona when the time comes.David Luiz can also play as cdm,a role which he favors and is quite good at times. So there are many options. I am not really a huge Mikel fan but when I see a player work hard and play well, its my duty as a Chelsea fan to appreciate such performances and praise him.

I am sure Torres wouldn't even have anticipated Mata's pass that eventually led to the goal.Even if he had,he surely wouldn't have been able to convert it to goal like Drogba. At 33,Drogba can offer more than a 27 year old Torres.

Like many of you here I totally disagree. He wasn't great today but he certainly wasn't terrible. He helped out his defenders whenever he could and made some exceptional runs and passes. He is able to offer us so much and lets not forget that glorious free kick chance. Its sad to know that there are some who don't believe in him and criticize him for no reason. The man scored his 100th premier goal for us!Surely he deserves some respect if not appreciation.

We could have played better but one thing is for sure we play more like strong team when both Mata and Sturridge are on the field.
-
Why isn't Mata playing?
-
Syed Mohammed looks like Frank Lampard.
-
He did quite well at City and with that kind of experience I think he may be a success at Chelsea considering he played for us as well.I am not saying that he should be the main contender for the job but should be considered.
-
why not?
-
I would really like Mark Hughes to be considered for the job.

Chelsea played better than how they used to.To my surprise,Mikel and Kalou had a good game and Ramires was just brilliant. His work rate and commitment on the pitch can't be matched by any of our players.I am glad he signed a 5 year contract with us.I don't if many of you noticed but a few our players like Mata,Ramires and Raul looked very irritated yesterday. The only possible explanation would be the sacking of AVB and I am sure they weren't happy with that decision. Chelsea played like a completely new team and at some times played some good football but most of the time a lot of the plays were congested with our players.Luiz played more like a sweeper than a defender, which I didn't like. Its good to know that Terry is near to full fitness and hopefully we will see a Cahill-Terry partnership against a very tricky Stoke side. I know its too early to decide about RDM's managerial skills but I think he did a great job.If he can overcome the Napoli deficit or like Arsenal show some determination and courage like they did against Milan then I don't think we should look for another manager but first, lets see how he does against Stoke. Can't judge him based on only one game but so far he's done a good job. Have to post this twice to make sure my point has been understood.

Petr Cech,so then he will have more goals than Torres
-
I am sure he would have missed the penalty.Heck I doubt he would have even hit the target.
-
I think the reason why RDM gave Kalou some game time yesterday could be because he wants clubs to be interested in Kalou so that when he finally decides to leave Chelsea,he will get a chance to play for another top club and possibly a high transfer for the player.RDM should do the same to players like Hutchinson,Piazon etc.He should give them some 10 minute games so that other clubs will get to see their potential and then decide upon a loan move for them.Making them sit on the bench won't attract many offers.
-
That left foot shot of his was terrible. Many of you complain of lack of service but when he creates his own chances he doesn't take them.He takes a 1 step forward and then 2 steps back and then side passes it to some midfielder. The guy is more of a midfielder than a striker and the fact that he is not scoring goals doesn't really bother me now,its that he is a blocking a starting place for Lukaku.

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

I think managers will come here only for the severance package. -
Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

AVB's salary was 8m but 15m a year is a lot even though he's regarded as one of the best managers in the world. -
So you think Raul or Malouda is better than Lampard? If you do then you seriously need some help.

But I read somewhere that Pep wants 15m a year.Surely that's too much even for Chelsea pay standards. -
He has scored 13 goals for us so far. That not good enough for you?
-
Maybe Lampard wasn't responsible for the sacking. Many of you are speculating that he did.
