  1. Might just impose a football blackout on myself if Arsenal win the league. We'll never hear the end of it.
  2. Chelsea spell offers Guus Hiddink the opportunity for a perfect farewell
  3. So, we're now using executing rabona cross as a judging criteria?! Oscar had great games under Mourinho as well, like in the 2 previous seasons. It is ONE game and it was against Sunderland. The reaction to his performance (or anyone else for that) is just ridiculous and over the top. If Mourinho was still around, oversaw that game and Oscar and the rest put in that kind of performance, people would be urging caution and said it's only Sunderland. I'll wait till he put those kind of performances in the upcoming matches - Watford, Man United, Crystal Palace etc - and do so consistently before coming to any conclusion.
  4. People seem to forget that we played Sunderland, not City, Arsenal or even Leicester! And it's also funny that when the players put in a decent performance to win a game under Mourinho this season, people urged others not to get carried away because it's only one game or the opposition was rubbish etc. Now, Mourinho is gone, the players put in ONE decent display against a hopeless side and people think the players are getting back to their best already.
  5. I imagine the home crowd would protest even more this Saturday if United hire Mourinho before then.
  6. Surely our defenders won't be as pussies as Sakho and Srktel were yesterday? Speaking about Sakho, my god. He was completely taken to the cleaners by Watford. One of the worst ever performances put in by a centre back this season.
  7. Bloody hell. What has this thread turned into?!
  8. Chelsea have contacted Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini about manager's job, say reports in Spain
  9. Guus Hiddink confirms plans for Didier Drogba to return to Chelsea in coaching capacity
  10. Guus Hiddink confirms plans for Didier Drogba to return to Chelsea in coaching capacity
  11. Wonder if we'll see some rotation for this. Our game after this is on the 28th and it's at Old Trafford.
  12. Now that Ancelotti has been confirmed as Bayern boss, I've removed him from the poll...
  13. German pundit Raphael Honigstein on Guardiola... (from 3:55 till 4:43)
  14. Exactly. Ray Wilkins mentioned a fair point on that on Fletch and Sav yesterday (from 2:00 till 3:15 in video below).
  15. Considering the kind of attacking quality we have in the squad now, I wouldn't say no.
  16. Better hope we're getting the 2009 version Hiddink rather than the subsequent ones. Then again, he can't do any worse than Mourinho, can he?
  17. He's probably praying hard right now that Mourinho does not end up at United... But IF that happens, can we go and get him back?
  18. Maybe. United do want success but I'm not sure if they are THAT desperate till the point they will hire anyone who can bring them that. Managing a global brand/club like United is more than just winning trophies, it's also important to maintain a good image in the public. I'm sure they would ask among themselves whether Mourinho is really worth the trouble despite the guaranteed success. We all know his antics can grow extremely tiresome after some time and they would have noted how ridiculous things go with him this season alone.
  19. Pep Guardiola: a genius with a gift for coaching and a habit of arguing
  20. Courtois is quite blunt and honest, isn't he? Like that.
  21. Diego Simeone declines to comment on speculation about Chelsea job Diego Simeone may value sense of belonging at Atlético over Chelsea’s riches
  22. To be fair, he did have those kind of games under Mourinho as well. But it's like everyone else has said, the problem with him is inconsistency. And it probably won't be long before we see play like some sort of Championship player again.
  23. Think you're over-exaggerating there....
