  1. To be honest, I wouldn't read too much into today's game considering it was Sunderland. The next few games will tell us - Watford, Man United and Crystal Palace.
  2. I really have my doubts whether Mourinho will actually be able to get that United job. 1. United want success but they won't tolerate having a manager who incites trouble and creates negative headlines at every opportunity. Even Bobby Charlton, who has a strong influence at the club, has voiced his disapproval at the possibility of appointing Mourinho in the past. 2. United want their team to play attacking football and as we have seen with our own eyes, Mourinho is not the man to give them that. If their fans are already complaining about the style under Van Gaal, then there's every chance they will do the same with Mourinho even if he gets results. 3. United have a tradition of integrating youth players into the first team squad (whether they are actually successful or good is another story) and again, we have seen it ourselves that Mourinho doesn't do that. Giving them the odd game here and there or some minutes here and there really doesn't count. Varane is like arguably the only young player he's managed in the last 10 years that he's actually used prominently. The rest are almost tossed aside and used only a few times.
  3. Not sure if we were good or Sunderland were just really bad today but the win is certainly most welcomed. On another note, I do wonder whether I'm supporting a club called Chelsea FC or Mourinho FC. The players deserved to be criticized for the mess we are in this season but booing them and even having that '3 Rats' banner is just petty and ridiculous.

  6. Here's two extremely long (not exaggerating) but good articles on why things always go wrong for Mourinho in the third season... Pt 1 - https://www.theblizzard.co.uk/articles/the-devils-party/ Pt 2 - https://www.theblizzard.co.uk/articles/the-devils-party-part-2/
  7. There's only one man for the job. The exotic version of Neil Warnock, as @Leif once put it...
  8. PIERS MORGAN: The sacking of Jose Mourinho is the worst decision in football history - shameful Chelsea should have let HIM sack his treacherous prima donna stars for playing like Christmas turkeys and conspiring to bring him down
  9. Not sure who put 'Sacked' in the thread title but I don't think there's any need for that. We all know what happened and some respect for the club's most successful manager would be nice.
  10. Who should our next permanent manager? http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/20543-who-will-be-the-next-chelsea-manager/page-6 Get your votes in!
  11. Well, time to re-open this thread me thinks...
  12. Although the decision had to be made, it makes no sense that we let him prepare the players for 1 1/2 days for the Saturday game and then proceed to sack him. Don't even know who's doing what now ahead of the weekend.
  13. That is true and I don't disagree but where's that ambition and pride to win matches, to win trophies? Don't they want to achieve things and where's that obligation to win for the club and fans?
  14. Please calm down @didierforever. We know you are pissed and all but we get your point. Don't have to go on a rampage with the same posts.
  15. That's fair but putting aside playing better football, what does it say about the players if they suddenly turn up and put in a performance this weekend or the next etc?
  16. The club have, unsurprisingly, cancelled the presser tomorrow. So now, we don't even know who's doing what ahead of this game. The club is seriously a fucking mess right now! Big Sam is probably laughing himself to 3 points now.
  17. Probably not but they certainly haven't been anywhere near their best. Blaming Mourinho, the shit offensive style etc can only go so far. At the end of day, the manager can prepare everything with the team but if the players don't go out there and perform like they should, then what can he do? (not saying Mourinho is faultless by the way)
  18. This home game and the next one against Watford is going to be fun...
