UEFA's draw looks uncomplicated all of a sudden.

We have been drawn against Bristol Rovers/Bristol City but Bristol Rovers face Cardiff City in the first round and Bristol City have beaten Wycombe. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!

We'll face either Bristol Rovers or Cardiff City at home in the second round.

At the moment, it looks like there's more chances of us selling the entire squad than buying players to bolster the squad.

You do realize we still have Ivanovic-Cahill-Terry in the back 4, right? That's without mentioning the half-functional midfield.

I'm sorry but that's a stupid thing to say. Having superior talents doesn't win you games. If that had been the case, we wouldn't have taken just ONE point against West Ham last season!

In an alternate reality, we would have Pogba and Stones right now. But instead, we live in a state of depression and still desperate for reinforcements.

If we actually have a target, we wouldn't be sitting here having this conversation right now. No. It's the lack of foresight and proper scouting that's got us in this predicament. Everyone, I'm sure you do as well, can see the problems with this squad a year ago (or even 2 seasons ago) and yet, we have done nothing to improve the squad.

FFP is like a myth at this point if we look at how much the other clubs are spending and the lack of Champions League football money hardly hurts when there's the new TV deal money.

Like not knowing who to get? If you have read through what I said, you knows what that means.

If reinforcements have been identified, we wouldn't be taking a scattered brain approach in the transfer market right now.

Adding to that, with the new TV deal money and the inflated transfer market, the chances of getting a good player by paying a small fee are low these days. Gotta pay big money to get the good ones.

Given the state of our defenders, think any one would have improved our defence! It's quite unforgivable really. The transfer window has been opened for months and we still have not signed any defender. Heck never mind this transfer window, if Conte and/or the board has been watching the team carefully, they should know our defence has been on the decline since a year ago and should have been started scouting, searching for defenders, proper defenders. But no. We ended up buying some duds last season and till now, we're still finding the right players. Reinforcements should have been identified long ago and bought early on. It should have been our main priority this summer but we ended up wasting plenty of time on getting players further up the field. We shouldn't be waiting till the very end to sign players for an area we desperately need to improve.

Be patient? THREE months into the summer transfer window and we're still looking for a defender! It's unforgivable and who exactly are we even looking at anyway? We've seen so many players being mentioned but not one seems to be a proper target. Never mind getting the right player, we will soon be in the getting any player period, if not already.

If only we are as ruthless with players as we are with managers.

God, if we don't win the league this season (which I doubt we will given the state of our defence), I hope City win it! Would be glorious to watch Mourinho (and Man Utd) fail after spending so much on Pogba, Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan.

The season hasn't even started and he's already looking cranky, taking aim at everyone and attracting controversies. At this rate, he might actually implode faster that he did in his previous jobs.
