  1. Caballero is "weird" (to put it kindly), isn't he? One game, he looks decent and the next, he looks like an absolute disaster. Why did he even bother coming out to stop the Huddersfield if he's not even committed about it? And oh, there's also that nonsense mixed-up with Rudiger in the second half where we were lucky to get the free kick and Huddersfield couldn't make it 2-1.
  2. Useless. Absolutely fucking useless! Conte needs to go, like NOW. Why did he make SIX changes? Why did he rest Hazard, Giroud and even Moses when we had to absolute win this game? I know we had a tough game against Liverpool just 3 days but we haven't exactly been playing every 3-4 days, for fucking sake! We put ourselves back in the contention for the top 4 and he fucked it up by stupidly changing the starting XI when there's much at stake! It's almost as if he went back to trying to prove a point to the board about the squad. Also, his obsession to start with the back 3 in every game is infuriating. Huddersfield were clearly going to sit back and defend and yet we stuck with the same formation until we went 1-0 down. Didn't even make the change at HT!
  3. So if some think a player is good, I have to agree? Suarez has the skills but back then, his end product was horrendous and that was the point but I guess you ignored that since you only knew how to take things out of context and say, not even bothered reading the replies. That's funny. I seem to remember it was you who quoted me yesterday to begin with in the Conte thread. And while I did do that in this particular discussion, you could have just ignored me but you didn't. In any case, ta.
  4. Oh god. How desperate were you that you had to go dig out one of old my tweets? And imagine my shock at people taking a point at that particular time out of context. Suarez was hardly a clinical goalscorer for Liverpool back in August 2012, only became one after that!
  5. To be fair, today's result doesn't change the fact that Huddersfield need results to survive. Instead of needing a win, they just need one point from their last 2 games.
  6. My point was Dybala may have impressive numbers but he hasn't backed it up with his performances on a consistent basis. There were criticisms of his performances in big games and IIRC, he was even dropped by Allegri in some key games. Heck, he even got taken off at HT against Napoli recently! You talked about ranking and isn't that based on the ratings of the player? Did you actually even read what I typed? Where did I explicitly say we should not sell Morata and get Dybala in return?
  7. Irrelevant? I refuted your point about using Whoscored's player ratings system and even gave an example as to why it's unreliable. Are you really gonna ignore the fact that their system has only 0.83 difference between Hazard's performances and Bakayoko's? Do you really believe that the latter has been good enough to merit a 6.93 rating? Not even sure if you are taking the piss at this point. Have no issues whatsoever if you think Dybala is the best player in Serie A but if player ratings is all you got to back that up, then...wow.
  8. All he did was scoring a key goal. Hardly did anything else. The metrics for Whoscored's Player Ratings is broken. It has Bakayoko at 6.93 rating or Fabregas at 7.07 and it isn't far behind Hazard or Kante. Do you think really think Bakayoko or Fabregas deserve that high of a rating when you look at their performances?
  9. Meh. Those numbers don't tell the whole story.
  10. At least Morata has the excuse of this being his first season in a new country, club etc. Plus, he has scored some big goals in big games and has a decent goal record despite his issues. Dybala has been at Juventus since 2015 and his career has yet to really takeoff.
  11. Dybala has hardly been setting the world alight at Juventus and there were even criticisms that he doesn't do enough in the big games.
  12. I'm fine with people defending Conte if they want but using 'loss of motivation' because he couldn't get the players he wanted in January as an excuse for going AWOL for 3 months is laughable. It wasn't the first time he didn't get what he want since joining us. If he could do his job like he's supposed to on previous occasions, why not the same this time? If he couldn't give a toss anymore, then he should have just left rather than jeopardize our season because he decided to throw his toys out of pram like a baby.
  13. Conte's approach on Sunday wasn't too different to the one we saw against Barcelona or Spurs. Only difference is, no one screwed things up defensively. This. Conte credited the players yesterday for making the "mission impossible" of finishing in the top 4 possible after yesterday's win, which is BS from him on so many levels. We were sitting comfortably in the top 4 going into 2018 before going AWOL for 3 months and Conte did nothing to stop the rot earlier. He's now making it as if we have been outside looking in all season and are now trying to sneak into the CL spots in the final week.
  14. Rudiger had a brilliant game too. How come you have not commented in his thread?
  15. Here's hoping but at the same time, it's the hope that kills. So, let's see.
  16. Not today. Given we were sitting deep and content to defend the lead, needed Giroud to be strong in his hold up play to relieve the pressure but he didn't really succeed at that. Did feel we needed someone quick at Swansea though. To be fair, he has stopped falling often in the last few matches. He definitely has things that need to be worked on but I don't think he's been helped by the fact that Conte deploys him as a target man. I mean, he can hold up the play decently and link with others but that's not his strengths. That's why Giroud has looked at home in the XI because what Conte wants from the striker suits him more than Morata.
  17. Underrated signing. Mentioned in the match thread, he's done a quiet, impressive job all season.
  18. That save against Firmino early on was good.
  19. Rudiger has been an underappreciated signing IMO. Has done a quiet, impressive job all season and today's performance was the best of the lot. Didn't give Salah an inch and looked adept in dealing with his pace as well. Backed up his words in that BBC interview. Disagreed on Giroud though. Took his goal well but didn't hold up the play as well as he should and made some poor decisions with his passing, like that one counter attack involving him and Hazard late in the second half. Hazard was great, Liverpool couldn't deal with him. THAT moment when he left 2-3 players bamboozled in the box was fun! Kante was good, as always. We still gotta do our job obviously (a lot of fans, not here, seem to think Huddersfield and Newcastle are foregone conclusions) but I highly doubt Spurs and Liverpool will drop points in their final games. If anything, I suppose our pressure (we've become the thing we mock Spurs for, FFS!) might make them nervous and screw up more than hoping for Newcastle/Leicester/Brighton to turn up and do something.
