  1. Again, underrated signing of the season.
  2. Hasn't always said the greatest of things but fair play to Courtois for his recent performances. Made some very good saves in the last couple of matches.
  3. Injured. But in other news, he's been called up to the Italian NT by Mancini.
  4. Shit performance, especially offensively, but FA CUP CHAMPIONS!
  5. Maybe but on the other hand, you have someone like Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is only 19 years old and hardly looks big, playing in defence and helping Liverpool to reach the Champions League. Then there's also the case where Spurs bought and started playing a 19-year-old Dele Alli in their starting XI 3 years ago.
  6. Scenes when they still don't give a shit and just sell him anyway.
  7. It was the right call not to take Shelvey, IMO. He has only been great in recent months and he has never been consistent (or world class). Taking players to the World Cup because they perform in last few months of the season is a big NO-NO. It's like buying players only because they did well at the Euros or World Cup when they are in actual fact a bad player.
  8. That's what I always do.
  9. We still have one more game to go - a huge cup final - but the players are already out spouting things that may damage morale ahead of that game.
  10. Think we all can agree 1000000% with what he said about getting better, quality players but this cat and mouse game he has been playing is getting tiresome. This is a player who has been flirting with Real Madrid for the past few years and now suddenly threatens to leave if we don't meet his demands? I understand a player's career is short and they want the best but if we're really talking about 'love' or even 'loyalty' here, then shouldn't he stick with the club through thick and thin? If he genuinely loves the club, then shouldn't he just sign the contract? Plus, is he now suddenly making these demands because Real no longer want him or aren't bothered about him at all? Didn't hear him saying this at all prior to this.
  11. I don't necessarily mean he's lying about his relationship with Emenalo but more of the fact that he's just gonna say whatever convenient to absolve himself of any blame for this season's failure.
  12. At this point, it's tough to take Conte's words seriously anymore. Anything that comes out from him these days feels more like excuses than anything else.
  13. You're right about the need to replace the bad players with good ones and have a different approach with transfers but at the same time, I do not want us to keep the manager for the sake of keeping it. As Tomo alluded to above, had Conte been trying to get his best out of the squad but still came up short, then yes, I wouldn't mind us keeping him at all. But he has been sabotaging the team's attempt at success this season, especially in 2018. We all can agree that this squad isn't good enough to challenge at the highest level at the moment but it's still good enough to finish in the top 4. But Conte went AWOL and decided it's better to prove a point to the board by making hopeless team selections, tactical decisions etc.
  14. Second time we go into a game against United on the back of a 3-0 loss this season...
  15. Has anyone been keeping count the number of times Hazard lost the ball this season because of the silly backheels? Asking for a friend...
  16. Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United PRE/POST-MATCH DISCUSSION, LIVE CHAT AND ANALYSIS 2017/18 FA Cup Final 19th May, Saturday, 2018 Wembley Stadium 17:15 Kick Off (UK time)
  17. If previous experience is anything to go by, I'd keep Pedro. Has the experience and demonstrated the know-how of how to play that kind of attacking football.
