Putting that aside, it's really BS from Conte though. Yes, finishing 5th is obviously better than 10th but he's made it like some sort of achievement to finish higher than Mourinho in 15/16. Your stats say Morata isn't good but since when they became a sure thing to judge how that person will turn out? It's like saying someone will guarantee fail in life because he or she constantly fails exams in school. Not even sure why you are continuing this when we are not going to be on the same page. I know you think Morata isn't good and needs to be replaced but are you really that desperate to get others on board with you?

Just because someone hasn't been good, doesn't he/she can't become better. Not everyone hit peak form at the same time. As I've mentioned several times, I'm willing to give him another season, based on the good things he did in the first half of the season. If he can become consistent next season, then great. If not, sell him. Our striker situation isn't exactly bright and sunny at the moment but we have far bigger problems in the squad that need immediate fixing - like the midfield and wide attackers.

Morata has got 13 titles - 8 with Real Madrid and 5 with Juventus. Where did you get the two from? Easy to say now on hindsight. If that 04/05 Drogba was playing now, wouldn't people be calling for him to be sold? It is a tired example but sadly, it's still a relevant one. Maybe because you and I view "flop" differently. Morata wasn't a resounding success at Juventus and Real Madrid but was he a flop? Not for me. He's in the middle. Just because someone didn't too well before doesn't mean he can't reverse his fortune going forward. Easy to say that. If Dybala had been in Morata's shoes this season, you would likely be complaining about the same things. Erm, I think you compared them both to begin with.

If you want to start talking about titles, then Morata has won them ever since 2011. Yup, the "first season in a new country" is cliche as fuck but imagine if we had sold Drogba after only one season back in 2005? My original point wasn't even about Morata being better than Dybala or Dybala being better than Morata. More of the fact that, despite his goals and assists, Dybala hasn't always hit the heights on a consistent basis. Putting Morata aside, even if we bring Dybala in, is he even guaranteed to be a success with us? Continue with this turgid style and players like him are never going to shine on a consistent basis upfront.

I get your point about concentrating on the league but we can't exactly throw away the Europa League either, unless we somehow run away with the league. It's our back-up of getting into the Champions League.
