Could care less who said it. This could be all just empty talk for all we know. Furthermore, if Werner is Lampard's long term plan to be our #1 striker, then I don't see how it makes sense to get Haaland into the side. Neither is going to be happy to sit on the bench and even if we move Werner out wide, it will solve one problem and create another when we have a number wide attacking options as well as tons of midfield options. And constant chopping and changing the team isn't going to help anyone. As I said, let's see how Lampard develops the team this season before before we start thinking far ahead into next summer's transfer targets.

How is this even comparable? On paper, yeah, Haaland is obviously the much more fancier name and player than Rice but if you look at what we need in this team, we need a defensive midfielder more urgently than a striker. Personally, I don't believe this Haaland rumor one bit - especially if people are gonna base it off a quote - and I would be more curious to see how the current team develop and play out before we start to worry about next summer's potential transfer targets.

Find it bizarre that club managers have not made much more noise about players playing international matches in this congested season, especially when the COVID-19 cases are flaring up again across Europe.

https://theathletic.com/news/chelsea-transfer-antonio-rudiger-germany/LZwqxmLRk4Oh How close did he come to leaving Chelsea? The 27-year-old is yet to feature for Chelsea this season and acknowledged that he had opportunities to leave Stamford Bridge this transfer window. “Naturally, I looked at a couple of options in the two weeks before the end of the transfer window,” he said. “There was a possibility of a loan deal, in order for me to get more game time. Due to many different reasons and the shortage of time, nothing materialised in the end.” Did Chelsea really want to move him on? Rudiger has been a peripheral figure for Chelsea this season and The Athletic understands that Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Roma and Barcelona all expressed some form of interest in the defender during the transfer window. But Rudiger claims Chelsea were not determined to push him out of the club. “The club didn’t tell me that it was absolutely necessary for me to find a new club and that they definitely didn’t have me in their plans for the next few months,” he said. “I also turned down one or two options myself. I wasn’t prepared to pack it all in simply because I had been left out a few times. I enjoy living in London and like being at Chelsea.” What does Rudiger’s future hold? Rudiger is hopeful that Chelsea’s cramped calendar will afford him a chance to come back into the fold. But he also hinted at his need to move on if he keeps being frozen out. “It is what it is now. I will accept it for the time being and try to show myself in every training session. We are in many different competitions, it’s two games per week all the way from now. “Sometimes in football, things can change very quickly. That’s why I will continue to give my best every day and try to convince the manager.” Chelsea return to Premier League action with a home match against Southampton on Saturday evening.

Germany are sleep walking into another potential disaster under Jogi Low at next year's Euros.
-
If that had been Abraham, you would have been shouting from the rooftop over it. You could maybe argue that one of the defenders should have just taken him out (and maybe risk him getting injured!) but it's never easy to stop a player suddenly running at you, especially once you start backpedaling, and he still had a lot to do to score that goal.

'It's crazy I am here with them now': Timo Werner says he can't believe he's now at Chelsea alongside Frank Lampard, Petr Cech and Ashley Cole after watching them in the Champions League as a boy
-
Is Werner playing on the left of the front 3? Also, how is Jogi Low still in the Germany job? Already looking like a manager who has run its course in the job.
-
Has more goals for Germany than us this season..

Scored again for Germany...

I can't promise I know how to fix it but err, possible to share a screenshot of the error message?

Ronaldo tested positive for COVID-19 and he posted yesterday... The rest of the Portugal squad tested negative apparently but eeek! CANCEL THE NOVEMBER INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL!!
-
We bought him for the long term and for all we know, his withdrawal could be just a pre-cautionary move.

IT'S ALL LAMPARD'S FAULT!

Seriously, who gives a fuck what others think about our transfers?
-
LOL He hasn't even returned and played yet...

The problem with this is that players are going from one bubble to another bubble, filled with players coming from elsewhere. We do not know how others are managing their bubble and/or what the other players have done before coming into this international team bubble. We have already seen cases of players pulling out of their NT because they got the virus. This hasn't blown into a full crisis yet but what happens if for example, one of our players got the virus because of some player coming from elsewhere in the NT team got it? And situation like this just happened 3 days ago... It's already stupid enough to have international games at this point, putting the players at risk with all the unnecessary travelling from one country to another etc and even more so, when it's only for international friendlies!
