  1. All about being adaptable and versatile and AVB doesn't have those qualities as a manager after what happened here. Kinda makes you wonder what he learned from Sir Bobby Robson and Mourinho to be making so many mistakes like that.
  2. Yeah but that might be a problem in itself. Not sure if either Cech or Courtois will be happy sitting on the bench.
  3. Maybe more suitable to be the vice captain then. And this Courtois-Cech keeper issue is rather annoying!
  4. But by then, Courtois could have already be in the team after all the loan plans, if you know what I mean.
  5. True but maybe his over-jovial character could work against him. That said, he definitely needs to sort out his defending and recklessness first. Players won't have faith in him if he's not reliable at all on the pitch. Leaders also need to lead by example.
  6. Cahill was the vice captain at Bolton and has been as captain several times too over there.
  7. Yeah but it takes time for some right now to be fully comfortable at the club given that we are slowly overhauling the squad. Definitely also need some to step up like Luiz, Ivanovic etc.
  8. Will need to break into the 1st team and establish themselves first though. Care to elaborate why?
  9. I'm sure RDM will make the right choice, rotate well and give them both a fair amount of games throughout the season.
  10. Are you a Torres fangirl? Agree. Maybe Cahill as the captain and Bertrand the vice captain? Could work.
  11. Goodness me. Like I said, I was just saying that given the 2 better options we have now on our RW, Moses is more likely to start when compared to Marin(only!) for obvious reasons. Is that so hard for you to understand FFS?! Holding a grudge here!
  12. Perhaps this is the time to start discussing about who is gonna be our main leader on the pitch in the future. As we all know, Terry and Lampard can't go on forever. The former is already 32 y/o this year while the latter is 34 y/o. From the different types of characters in we have in our squad right now, who do you think is suitable to replace Terry and Lampard as captain and vice captain respectively? What kind of characteristics do you look out for particularly to be a captain and/or vice captain? One of my choice right now would be Cahill. Reason being that he is like a clone of Terry. Possess similar playing style and more importantly, he's a strong and wise character on and off the pitch. He is by no means a finished article just yet and can definitely still improve but he has the qualities to be a great leader of the team. Tends to speak quite well to the media too.
  13. I'm overestimating Moses? Where on earth did I say or even imply that?! I was just merely stating that the chances of Marin, given he just returned from injury, is low compared to when you have another healthy option in Moses. And just because Moses is regarded one for the future, he can't start a game now?!
  14. Moses is more likely to start at RW than Marin against QPR. No way RDM will risk him immediately after he has just returned from injury. He will come on as a sub, if anything.
  15. Yeah but the fact he always hit it with so much power and pace along with accuracy, the keeper has never really got any chance to save it. His penalty record speaks for itself.
  16. http://www.thefa.com/England/News/2012/john-terry-ashley-cole-update Cole has been ruled out of England's WCQ against Ukraine on Tuesday, according to the FA. Still recovering from the ankle injury he picked up. Hope it's nothing too serious. And Terry is still receiving treatment on his injury from yesterday.
  17. Not just in Israel really. Most especially the fangirls still think he can.
  18. Goodness me, can't believe are even talking about or believing what the clueless Neil Ashton wrote on Daily Fail.
  19. As long as he produces it for us at club level, I can't be bothered with how he performs with Belgium. Club football >>> International football
  20. Judging by some of the comments here, you would have thought we have lost all our first 3 league games and Lampard was the main culprit for each of them...
  21. Lampard may be nowhere near his best yet but it's only like 4-5 games into the season. Don't see any reason to go anywhere near being panic just yet.
  22. You are not going to read too much into his performance against Moldova, are you? No disrespect to them but they are no world beaters. Just wait for the English media get on his back again when England face a much stiffer opposition.
  23. All would probably come in the cup games. Can't see him feature in the Champions League except maybe against Nordsjaelland. Likely to play in the Carling Cup and if we go far, then he will certainly play a lot.
