Just want a simple and straightforward win, if possible and hopefully. Don't care about by how many goals we are gonna win this etc. It may be against an average QPR but it is a London derby after all.

That doesn't mean our wide players have to be one of them. Not asking them to be excellent in defending as that is not the traits of wingers, as you said, but at least somewhere decent to good enough to protect their FB when needed.

Yeah but it's not just that. Letting BOTH Meireles & Essien go leaves us a bit short in midfield in terms of depth. Say IF Oscar and/or Romeu are having a bit of tough time and/or struggling, we will not have many other players to call upon, and players that have experience.

Not just to maintain the balance though, it's also about the defensive side of things. If any of the wide player on the right flank can provide solidity and do their fair share of defensive work every time, then I'm sure RDM will play him rather than Ramires there. But we don't quite have that at the moment.

Don't think anyone is really saying Azpilicueta is the better RB than Ivanovic right now. What we're saying is that Ivanovic probably needs to be dropped or rested, if you like, because his form has been dire as of late. Can't just keep on playing him if he continues to put in poor performances. Will just leave us exposed at RB.
