  1. It's still early days mate. Still early days...
  2. Here's what AVB said ahead this game yesterday. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/oct/07/andre-villas-boas-tottenham-chelsea?newsfeed=true
  3. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1184559/ryan-bertrand-replaces-injured-kieran-gibbs-in-england-squad?cc=4716 Bertrand has been called up to the England squad after Gibbs pulled out with an injury.
  4. Cole charged for a tweet. Van Persie escaped punishment after elbowing Cabaye. Summed up what Cole said perfectly about the FA last week (even though it was wrong of him to attack them publicly).
  5. Still injured apparently. Forest are working closely with the club on his recovery.
  6. Yes, I get bruises on my forehead a lot.
  7. Football observation is subjective and can differ from one person to another. And while stats may be there to back up what you said, it doesn't always tell the whole story. Lampard is no longer dynamic, mobile and doesn't have the legs anymore to be playing in such big games, not everyone of them anyway. Also, this situation now is rather hilarious. Before this, everyone wants RDM to keep Lampard out of the side because he leaves Mikel exposed and now just because we're playing AVB, people are being sentimental more than anything else and want Lampard to start.
  8. If there is one thing I can't stand about him right now is his overzealous celebration in almost every game. The way he celebrates every goal that his team scores every time is annoying. It's like he has won the title or something. Can imagine him doing the same like he did at Old Trafford the other day IF he beat us in this one. If that happens... :banghead:
  9. Awww, how nice of you. It would be so typical of fate IF we were to lose to AVB's Spurs.
  10. Especially the one proposed against Swansea, Shakhtar and West Brom.
  11. Yeah and that gives us a bit of cushion ahead of our match against Spurs and United. Hope we can get at least 4 points from those two games.
  12. Another impressive result for Napoli yesterday, beating Udinese 2-1 at San Paolo. They have matched Juventus stride for stride so far, both have won 6 and drew 1 of their first seven league games. And after the international break, they go head-to-head in Turin. Will be a big test for Napoli to see if they really have the credentials and are the real deal to challenge Juventus for the Scudetto this season.
  13. Easy to say that. It's one thing to have the desire and determination, it's another to be able to do it especially when Lampard is nowhere near as dynamic and mobile as he was 2-3 years ago.
  14. Meh. United strolled to a 3-0 win in the end. Oh well, still 4 points clear at the top.
  15. Just only realized that Spurs have won their last 4 league games after losing 1 and drawing 2 of the first three...
  16. So, Spurs beat Villa 2-0 in the end...
  17. Our scout, Mick McGiven is currently at the Lane scouting Spurs.
  18. Not sure if anyone have came across this but there was a story in the Four Four Two Magazine October 2012 edition stating that Sao Paulo hid Oscar from Fergie when he was only 15 y/o. United contacted them, sent Oscar invitations to train with them and offered a deal but Sao Paolo chose to hid him and told him to fly to Spain because in Brazil, a player can't sign a contract until's he's 16, which meant if Oscar had left then, the club wouldn't receive any compensation. Instead, Oscar flew to Albacete in Spain and was hidden there for about a month to hide him for big clubs and scouts that were interested in him.

  20. Forgot to mention this but the cross he delivered in for Torres's goal yesterday was quality. First time he has done that in ages! One of the biggest factor in that was how quick he crossed the ball. Once Mata passed the ball to him, he immediately delivered it into the box at first time. Otherwise, he would have taken 2-3 more touches like most of the time and allowed the opposition to close him down and get back into their defensive shape which by then the chance have gone.
