Sunderland have actually only won 2 of their last 21 Premier League matches and both came against 10 men - Wigan and Fulham.

They don't score a lot but also don't concede a lot. And we hardly looked like scoring either. Expect another bore 0-0 draw.

More like our board if anything. Who on earth in their right mind will allow the team go into the season with just 2 strikers and then letting go 2 CMs on the last day of transfer window without bringing out any replacements and expect the manager to work wonders with a squad that lacks depth and is unbalanced?!

So? Their main job is to assist and create chances. Scoring comes second and when you compare Mata with other CAMs around, we should already be thankful that he scores than most of the others already.

This is where @SeB will say "I told you so!". Despite Falcao's impressive goalscoring form, is he really what we need if he's just a striker that depends on service or otherwise he won't contribute much elsewhere? I'm sure many will use the reason of that shouldn't be a problem when there are Mata, Hazard and Oscar playing behind but in the really big games where chances don't come often, can he offer anything else upfront? I'm not sure personally.

Torres and Moses were also culpable, not just Mata and let's not forget that he is not a natural finisher even though he probably should have scored it.

Turned out to be yet another customary win for Real over Atletico in the Madrid derby. Standard. Don't think they are anywhere near good enough to win the title. Lack quality players in their team to truly trouble Barcelona and Real Madrid. Only way they can win is if Barca and Real completely go on a slump.

We have been playing poorly for a month now and yet somehow, we still sit in 3rd. Just goes to show how inconsistent and poor others are. If we did not have this annual winter slump, we would have pulled clear of the teams below us and well challenging for the title at the top. Absolutely depressing!

We drew 0-0 against Fulham at home but Spurs went up to the Cottage and smash them 3-0. Only Chelsea have the capabilities to make average/mid-table teams look world class.

The situation right now is just depressing. From the highs of overcoming Napoli, came back from the dead to beat Barcelona and Bayern and win the Champions League in May, buying exciting players like Oscar and Hazard, playing expansive football and winning games earlier this season TO the lows of experiencing our annual winter slump, sacking RDM and appointing a man that we all hate as well as getting into this mess with the team and club. Why can't we ever have a peaceful and straightforward season without the team being in some doldrums because of matters on and off the pitch for once?! *sigh* Additionally, if you look at the league and how other teams performing right now, it's just bloody depressing that we are experiencing this poor run of form and have a flop blondie as our main striker. If we had 1-2 top class strikers right now, we would well challenging for the title and could even be running away with the league now! *sigh*

Next weekend: Arsenal v West Brom Sunderland v Chelsea Everton v Tottenham Our rivals are playing each other. Points will be dropped there but I'm not sure if we're gonna beat Sunderland.
