Oh look. Nobody answered my last question... Guess I'll just post the scoreline back in the thread's title then.

Just to inform in advance, I'll write up a news or article on the Champions League group stage draw next week. It will be held on next Thursday (29th August) if anyone is wondering. Will probably also do one for every draw once in the KO stages if/when we are there. And also, I'll probably just write a short article to round up every round of Champions League games that involved us and the teams in our group during the group stage. Will also do if/when we are in the KO stages. Should I also cover the other groups/teams/matches or just focus on matters concerning us?

TBF, AVB has always reacted to goals scored, chances missed and any other things that happen on the pitch in an animated way. Was the same at Porto, here and now Spurs. He celebrates overzealously in fact and sometimes, it does look OTT.

Four Four Two did a short interview with Shreeves in their latest September magazine edition and asked him about that interview. Don't play Ramires?! Against the pace of this Villa team, playing Ramires would very useful and crucial. Would be dreaded to see the slowness of Mikel or Essien in his place dealing with that! By the way...

C'mon now, let's not get all paranoid just because Ivanovic has mainly been starting at RB under Mourinho so far. Azpi has yet to reach 100% match full fitness after returning later in pre-season from his extended summer break. There will be games where Ivanovic is rotated and being rested with Azpi then taking his place at RB and vice versa too. Moreover, there will be injuries and suspensions which will see the 2 alternating to play at that position AND with Ivanovic being able to play at CB, he might be used there at times if Cahill/Luiz/Terry is injured, rested or suspended or Mourinho decides to use Luiz in midfield. Another case it would be Mourinho picking the right RB to play in the right matches. If we were to come up against physical oppositions such as West Ham, Stoke or teams that are weak from set pieces/aerially, then Ivanovic is likely to play. If we come up against teams with quick wide players and all that, then Azpi is likely to start.

True, he was never the quickest but at least in his younger days, he would have the legs to recover and try to tackle opponents should they get past him. Now, he doesn't even have the legs to do so anymore. I would be worried if he starts against the pace of Villa.

Unfair? No. Don't completely disagree that his movement was decent but people are making it out better than it was. It was only decent at times. At times. For most of the other time he was on, he looks disconnected with others and still carrying that usual body language of not being interested. And speaking of movement, I actually couldn't believe what I saw when Hazard won a free kick near the halfway line on the left flank very very early on in the game. Hazard was looking to charge down that side with the ball and Torres suddenly decides to come over from the middle and run into a position and stood directly in front of the space Hazard was getting into.
