  4. Didn't agree with the signing of Willian when it happened but oh my, he has turned out to be quality. His workrate, energy and stamina has been immense. The way he shields the ball and run at opposition players with it have also been good, which is important in the team's transitions from defence to attack and vice versa. Would just like to see a better and more consistent end product from him.
  5. Newcastle are likely to be up for this after the derby humiliation last weekend and for goodness sake, just hope we don't screw this up. We already messed up against West Ham and not winning here will be very wasteful especially after winning at the Etihad.
  6. Am a bit shocked that Michael Laudrup has been sacked Swansea but not too shocked either when you look at their poor run of results in recent times - 8 wins from 35 Premier League games since winning the League Cup. Although Swansea play good football under Laudrup, they have always looked loose IMO in the sense that they are not that good tactically and have a soft belly which can be exposed if you get right at them. Should also note that Laudrup did not stay more than 1 season at a club in the last 3 occasions - Getafe, Spartak Moscow and Mallorca.
  7. It's somewhat crazy to see that Hazard is actually winning headers against bigger and arguably more physical players. His progression under Mourinho has been incredible, has gone up a notch, if not a few, since last season.
  8. Not gonna go into a petty argument about this again. Like I said before, takes time to move on. Maybe I have, maybe I haven't but that's hardly the point here. Just find it funny people keep on talking about Mata when some said "get over it" previously.

  10. Judging from the comments above, hardly seem like a banter.
  11. But is there any need to reiterate what we already know, like Mata doesn't suit yesterday's game with us? When people talked about him previously, others said get over it. He's gone, Chelsea goes on bla bla bla and now this. The fact that we are winning games and people still find the need to talk about him. Just get over it.....
  12. José Mourinho and Chelsea's remarkable tactical transformation
  13. That, I believe, was the celebration at the final whistle. He did that before shaking hands with Pellegrini. See the caption for the last picture in this news article below. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2551229/Chelsea-little-horse-Jose-Mourinho-claims-Blues-two-big-horses-Arsenal-Manchester-City-title-race.html
  14. Should note that of the current Top 10, we'll only have to play away at Liverpool and Aston Villa. The rest are done...
  15. Some people just can't get over Mata...
  16. I don't recall about Navas getting past Azpi multiple times. If anything, crosses were let in a tad too much from that side but getting past? No. Navas didn't really have the beating of Azpi like Valencia did early on when we played United recently. Moreover, the problem didn't come from Navas alone. As I mentioned, the issue came when Zabaleta, Silva and/or even Toure at times combined with Navas down the right hand side.
  17. http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1704120/joe-kinnear-resigns-newcastle-post?cc=4716 Joe Kinnear is gone from Newcastle. Hilarious this is happening after the transfer window.
  18. And then, there is this... http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=7509817&sid=aec2cef4064f6e59b8f963cc3ed33265 Mourinho terrified of Pellegrini. Pellegrini is the superior tactician. Double Guess being the superior tactician is why Pellegrini looked absolutely clueless yesterday in having a Plan B or C to even do anything meaningful against us. Couldn't create any clear cut chances. Nothing done. Couldn't even stop our counter attacks. Nothing done. Superior tactician indeed...
  19. Always enjoy the morning (or day) after we win a big game like this. Love it!
  20. Still in a very good position after playing both the Manchester clubs. Maybe, we might just pull it off... (if only 1 of those 39 shots had gone in against West Ham!)
  21. As The Skipper alluded to above, thought Luiz started off like a headless chicken when he was charging around mindlessly to put in tackles but got better and better as the game wore on. And oh another thing, Luiz should not to take free kicks so much!
  22. Agree with most things said there but not the Willian one. He passed it well to Ramires to have a shot at goal but his finishing was a let down. We are only looking at hindsight here and if anything, Willian could have passed it to Eto'o to his right then.
  23. Azpi hardly had a trouble at all last night dealing with Navas (so much for the worries before that!). Matched him for pace and didn't really allow Navas to exert any real influence from that side. The only trouble came when City combined for a passing move down that side especially when Zabaleta or Toure bombed forward. Otherwise, he did well and even made some crucial interceptions, blocks and clearances. And to think we only got him for £7 million!
