Jose's revving up the mind games before becoming Jaguar's global ambassador

There will probably come a time in the future where those 'FFP accountants' will say "Oh. Sell Hazard. The money we gain from him will help us get this player, that player to strengthen the squad further"...

Although Arsenal have become slightly more pragmatic in their approach this season, which is evident at times, one gotta question if Wenger ever drills that defensive and tactical know-how into his team like say Mourinho does with ours. That team he put out against Liverpool may not necessarily be the wrong one but don't think they are tactically sound and defensively aggressive and solid to make it work despite having 5-6 attacking players. Other teams have had many attacking players like them in most games and yet still achieve positive results. Also I was wondering recently, looking at their midfield players, how many of them would actually even get to Mourinho's team when playing the bigger teams? Probably none.

Ricky van Wolfswinkel: I’m glad Yaya Toure has escaped suspension ...

Thought you don't believe Di Marzio or the media for that matter?

But don't think the club confirmed the move, did they?

Before anyone panics, he's speaking about the loan. The person you quoted from made a mistake before correcting it. See my post above.

Erm, maybe the latter? Zouma does feel like a summer signing despite being bought last month. And even if you count Zouma into the spending, it still didn't exceed what we got in return from the sale.

Sturridge is no scrawny but he doesn't exactly have that physical nature in him. Someone like Eto'o is technical but they also have that strength and physicality about them. Jose always seem to have these types in his teams over the years. As for Lukaku, would he stay? There have been rumours circling that he might be sold come end of the season.. But we are not exactly playing on the counter every time only, are we?

Another home run victory for Mourinho... http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/feb/10/jose-mourinho-manuel-pellegrini-calculator

Can he be physical when needed though? I'm not convinced with his overall style of play and that it will suit us. He fits in rather perfectly to Liverpool's one now..

Mourinho has just completely 'thrashed' Pellegrini in his press conference. Complimented him before going on to remind everyone that Pellegrini studied engineering and said an engineer doesn't need a calculator in response to his comments about our spending last Friday where Pellegrini said we have spent more than others. Mourinho pointed out that we only spent 32m in January but received fees of 55m. Jose also mentioned that Pellegrini always said he never speaks about Mourinho since they were in Spain but finally did last week. Said Pellegrini has changed. Mourinho also commented on Yaya Toure's kicking incident against Norwich. https://twitter.com/samuelj29060/status/432884493431492608 Doesn't sound funny from here but gotta watch the presser when the video is up later to get the fun of it.

Eto'o may have been playing a lot of games lately but one have to remember that we have practically been playing one game per week since the start of January and we just came off a week without playing in midweek and only faced Newcastle on Saturday. So, it's not like Eto'o needs a rest because he's been flogged to death for playing a game every 3-4 days for the last few weeks.

Not so sure about starting Torres TBH. He has just returned from injury and with the amount of games coming up, the last thing we need is to rush him back early and risk getting injured again resulting in him missing yet more games for an extended period of time.

Manchester United played Conference-style football against us, says Fulham defender Dan Burn Ouch! Just one thing on that Darren Bent's goal yesterday, it's somewhat hilarious that media and pundits alike seem to be blaming Vidic and his soft header clearance for Fulham's equalizer. No one seem to mention how Carrick lost the ball so easily to Sidwell and/or Smalling or Valencia caught ball watching and especially the latter wasn't even aware of Richardson's run into that gap left exposed between Smalling and Valencia.

Saying it is one thing but whether Sturridge has the capacity to learn and execute it the way Mourinho wants it is another. One would like to believe that under AVB, RDM and now Rodgers, Sturridge would have been drilled into doing his defensive duties diligently and yet at times watching Liverpool, you could still see the half-hearted or nonchalant effort of his defending that we sometimes see when he was still with us. I don't disagree with that but could argue his selfishness is OTT and is causing him to make poor decisions such as the easiest one of all, pass instead of shooting but he decides to shoot rather than pass when a teammate is in a better position. All look good and nice on paper but would it turn that way on the pitch? Additionally, the situation you mentioned there is when the space are there for us to play but what about when the teams park the bus or to use a more loose term/phrase, play defensively and deny us the space to play? Is Sturridge capable of being physical and battle defenders? Can he hold the ball up and play others in or link up with others? I'm not sure. I'm not sure if he's that all-rounder kind of striker that Mourinho typically has as his main ST in his teams.

If the game is at Old Trafford, then you might give United a chance to get something from the game but since it's at the Emirates, the chances are even lower. Arsenal will be keen to bounce back after the trouncing at Anfield and not to mention the fact that Moyes has never won away against any of the league's traditional big 4 in over 40+ matches.

Talk about obsession...

Still out injured. Should be back soon I believe.
-
If we wanna get a midfielder who can play in the pivot, would rather than us go for Gundogan, even if he has his injury problems (shame Cabaye has gone to PSG). Kroos can play in the pivot but think he's far more effective as a CAM, behind the striker. Getting him to play as a CM where is he less effective is like putting square pegs in round hole again.
-
While it's fun to laugh at United's current problems and all, let's hope they make themselves useful for once and get at least a draw against Arsenal (and City next month). Not getting my hopes up but one can hope I guess..
-
Sturridge may be scoring in the big games but it takes more than that to get into the good books of Mourinho. Given Sturridge's lack of defensive abilities and even tactical understanding, don't think Mourinho would really fancy him and moreover, Sturridge isn't that all round striker that Jose likes in his team especially when you consider he has that selfish streak in him.

I know but must have forgotten such thing occured here..
