Funny when De Bruyne and Mata weren't starting much earlier this season, so much was written about it by the media and yet, the same thing is happening with Schurrle but hardly any press coverage on him like it did with the other two.

I find cringeworthy whenever Arsenal fans moan about this supposed luck that other teams enjoy in the Champions League. Bet they would hardly care a jot if it was them instead. And double that Porto faced Man United in the group stage. Hardly Mourinho's fault that Monaco got to the final and we or Real Madrid couldn't beat them and mind, his Porto side also KO Lyon and Deportivo, who are by no means a pub team at that point of time, in addition to United in winning the competition.

Never mind his performances, one thing good about Eto'o is that he seems to use his experience to be a leader and lead the team when necessary. Did it at Everton back in September IIRC and again tonight with Willian, when the team walked out of the tunnel for the second half, as well as telling the others to keep their focus/concentration as he was subbed off. Such things are invaluable in tense situation(s) like today. (Pretty sure he has done the same in other games but just couldn't see it.)

Ha. All the pre-match worries turned out to be nothing in the end. Negated City's threats and imposed the counter attacking game plan brilliantly on them. The fact that we looked so comfortable and never looked like conceding (except for the first 20 minutes or so) says it all. Not to mention, their first shot on target came from that Silva FK in the second half. Hard to pick out a MOTM when the team performed like that as everyone did what was asked of them and more, brilliantly. Should have won by more but piss off with the post(!) and Pellegrini was such a bitch to use injuries as an excuse for the defeat and said we had luck to win the game. And just to throw some stats in... Chelsea became the first Premier League team to take points from the Etihad this season & first away side to keep a clean sheet there since November 2010 (Man City 0-0 Birmingham). Chelsea are the first team to do the Premier League double over Manchester City since Everton in the 2010/11 season. Chelsea beaten Manchester City in their home ground for the first time in the Premier League since 2008/09 season.

Understandable and still have that same thought a bit but it is slowly going away every time United lose a game and play poorly. If Fergie was still in charge, then you could say that with confidence at least but since it's Moyes...and even Ferguson's United lost to Mancini's City in 3 of last 4 games.

Considering how crap United have been under David Moyes, perhaps we should remove them off as a 'tough fixture' for the likes of City and Arsenal. It's probably worth mentioning that City's next 6 league fixtures are against Norwich(A), Sunderland(H), Stoke(H), Aston Villa(H), Hull(A) and Fulham(H) before they face United and Arsenal in successive matches. Maybe things may get complicated for them once the Champions League returns but given their squad size and form now, they could well and predictably take 18 points from 18 there especially when you consider their opponents then. And things will not favour us if they KOed by Barcelona from Europe.

If only there is a team out there that would be so kind to take him from us given his huge wages and all...

What is a fake 9? Seriously though, with Mourinho around, trying things out like a 'False 9' should be out of the question. We know he won't or doesn't deploy such approach.
